I started running a few months ago, and have been watching your videos ever since. I genuinely don't understand how your videos don't have more views, they stand out to me over any other resource. You provide great content for free, and your constant emphasis on doing what feels good for each unique body is so so important and really encourages me. I love feeling my body destress and relax as the videos progress, I never knew that stretching could feel so good before I found your channel! I really enjoyed the longer style of video, I definitely neglect my upper body stretches 😅. Thanks for the video :D
Oh wow!! thank you so much for taking the time to send me this comment, it’s made my weekend and put a big smile on my face 🙏😊 It’s so incredibly humbling to know that my videos have helped you and that you value my videos so highly, thank you! Theres so much more to come and hopefully more people will start to catch on to looking after their body in 2024! Please do keep me updated with your progress running and stretching Caili 🙌🏻
Paid for a stretching subscription on an app but I wish I didn't as your videos are far better and easier to follow along. Run everyday but for months my groin was preventing me to really push on with mileage, since following your routines it's really loosened up and I just feel more fluid and relaxed in general. Thanks mate👌
ahhh...you told us to smile just at the right moment. Such a little thing that is often forgotten. I felt those little happy endorphins release, as the corners of my mouth elevated. Thanks Ash
Fantastic that’s so great to hear Karen, thanks for commenting as always. So glad I could pop with the reminder at the right time! Have a great weekend 🙌🏻😊
Just did this video after a tough 6 miles, after a poor night’s sleep and feeling very sad. Felt good to be deepening my breath, slowing my nervous system down, hearing Ash’s cheery voice. Really appreciate the support as I continue to train for the London half marathon in April! See ya soon for another video 🙌🏼
So glad I could help you have a good stretch after your tough 6 miler Lydia 😊 I totally understand you with regards to sleep as we have 6 and 3 year old girls that have had long periods of sleep deprivation at times, it’s so tough isn’t it?!! Well done for having the motivation to get out there and train for you London half marathon 🙌🏻 I appreciate you commenting, thank you 🙏
This is honestly the best stretch I've ever had. Thank you for direct and straightforward directions and constant reminders that we have to be kind to our bodies and be aware of our bodily limits.
Aww wow, thank you so much for your comment, that has really made my morning reading it! So happy to help you have a good stretch and remind you to be kind to our body, thank you too 🙏😀
I went from 0 to 5k in 8 weeks, and started with some improvised stretching before and after running. I felt terrible, and I believe that I was on my way to harm my own body. Then a few weeks in, I started doing your pre- and post running stretch videos, and I feel a lot better! It's an easier and more comfortable run, and it's the perfect way to stretch and relax afterwards. Thank you so much for making me stretch AND to make me reflect on my run, and for always making me feel better, even when it was a tough and bad run. Thanks for the video, Ash 🙏🏼
Thank you so much for your comment Jeantte. I appreciate knowing that my videos have helped you create a caring post run routine for your body 🙌🏻 well done on your running journey so far 👍🏻😊
I had an argument with my partner and was feeling quite stressed after she left the house for a meeting. I decided to tend to my stress and go for a run, I haven't ran in a while but I stayed out for an hour just going at my own pace. I felt like I could keep going in terms of my endurance but my feet and ankles were hurting a bit so i thought, better to go home and tend to that. I am so glad I found your video! Your energy is so caring and sweet. I feel centered and happy and excited to make running a regular part of my life again! Thank you so much Ash! best, Jules
Hey Jules! I hope you have managed to resolve things with your partner. Life gets stressful at times doesn’t it. You did amazing to run for an hour. Go easy and try not to do too much too soon as you come back to running, this is a common mistake that leads to injury. Also embracing the walk/run method is a great tool for building endurance in the body. Glad I could help you after your run. Keep me posted with your progress 👍🏻😊
This was perfect after my 23 miler! My upper body tenses up more the longer I run and I really appreciated the focus on the shoulders. This was also a little gentler on my lower body which is already sore from the miles and doesn't need anything intense. Loved it!
As always, huge thanks for your videos! I am now training for my 3rd half marathon, and I have seen a remarkable improvement in my recovery since I followed your advice and decided never to skip the stretch again! And better recovery leads of course to better training sessions and less pains and aches... I am hugely grateful to you! As well, I now look forward to the after-run stretching session, it just feels so good! Your videos are full of great advice, thanks so much, keep up the great work, and hope this channels keep growing!
Oh wow, that’s so nice to read. Thank you so much 🙏 I appreciate you coming back to my channel and stretching with me regularly. I’m so glad that I’m able to help your recovery in prep for your 3rd marathon, well done on that 🙌🏻😊
Thank you so much Ash, I really enjoyed this longer session. Thank you also for continuing to remind us that we can help you by sharing the videos and offering us a way free and easy way to support your work.
You're so welcome Conrad, it is a big support to engage with my videos so I am very grateful for you supporting me in that way 🙏 Thanks for stretching and sharing your thoughts! Plenty more in the pipeline from my channel 😀
8 weeks into my running journey and my my body/knees felt so stiff. This stretch made me feel brand new! Had no idea mobility stretching was so important, will keep up every day 🙌🏽
This practice is amazing. My favorite thing is that it has little exercises but they are very deep and slow. Honestly I wanted to do a 2nd round of the practice right away. As a runner I found that short fast stretches just don't work for me (so quantity is definitely not the answer), while deeper (30-40+second holds) poses instantly release tension and help recovery so much.
Just coming back to running after an illness , this stretching routine melted all the stiffness and tension away . I feel like a new person ! Thank you so much and please keep on creating more incredibly helpful and healing videos Ash . You’re such a blessing !
My husband discovered your channel a couple of months ago. Love it! We did a 14km beach run in Costa Rica this morning. Was very grateful for this practice this afternoon.
That is awesome! So glad I could help you and your husband stretch 😊 thanks for commenting to let me know you was here stretching with me after your 14k beach run, well done on that 🙌🏻greetings to Costa Rica from the UK 👋
I started running again. It has been years and I have completed 10 so far. I found your videos and they have helped whether they are short or longer like this one. Thank you for creating this and sharing your post-run recovery knowledge.
Wonderful! So glad to help Monique. Hope your body is adjusting to running again as it does take a while for the body to adjust. Thanks for all your comments 😊
Hey mate, as a young guy I never really stretched. My worst instance of this was after running a marathon, I had a shower and went to bed, that was it. Recently I’ve learned how much mobility I’ve lost by smashing my self at the gym each day combined with running and it definitely feels weird since not a lot of people my age stretch but I’ve noticed massive improvements through watching your videos after every run. Just wanted to give my thanks for having this content be free and available to anyone, since I can’t afford proper yoga classes so this is helping me out a ton. Cheers.
Hey mate!! That’s amazing to hear, thank you so much for taking the time to share with me. I feel very humbled to be able to help your mobility. Well done for starting your stretching routine as a young guy. I started about 26 years old and it’s something I’ll keep up for life for the longevity of my mobility/movement. Thanks again for commenting, have a great weekend 👍🏻😊
I just wanted to share how transformative your warm-up and stretching routines have been for me. Today marks my fifth day running this week, and I truly feel the difference your guidance has made in my form, endurance, and recovery. This morning, I started with the 10-minute Beginners Warm-Up, and it was just what my body needed to kick off the run. After I finished, I did the Post-Run Deep Recharge: Stretching for Beginners routine. It was incredibly soothing and felt as if it was tailored just for my needs after the run. I've decided to make your Bedtime Stretch part of my daily routine. On my running days, I'll continue to incorporate the 10-minute warm-up and the post-run recharge. It's a perfect combination that really works for me. Thank you so much for the fantastic routines and for helping me find the right approach to my fitness. Your expertise has made a significant impact on my training and recovery.
Oh wow!! Thank you so much for sharing that with me Carol. I am so humbled to hear how my videos are helping you create this new healthy routine around stretching and caring for your body in-between running. Well done for being consistent and creating this new routine. There’s lots more to come. Thanks again for commenting your kind feedback 🙏😊
I loved your reminders to take it slow and listen to the body. Hearing your explanations really put me in the zone, you had great pacing, and I felt like I got a good stretch that most videos just don't leave me feelinlg with. I also apppreciate that you do not have music on in the background as it can be pretty distracting for me, and I like to play my own anyways. So happy I found you, adding this to my treasurebox of practices to repeat. Thank you, Ash!
Just finished a 6.5km run. I’m in a bit of a training slump, but I got out and feel so much better after this wonderful stretch. Thanks for taking the time to create this free content and doing it in such a gentle way. I appreciate the quiet (no music), slow, detailed, yet positive instructions.
Thank you so much Catherine. I really appreciate that, glad you enjoyed this stretch with me and my style of session 😊 well done on getting out on your run when in a training slump 🙌🏻
I can't tell you how much your videos are helping me, Ash. I run to release sadness and anger, and without your stretches the runs would only be half as effective. Thank you.
Stretching from Aotearoa New Zealand! I’ve only just started running and your stretch videos are so encouraging and supportive, especially when you say “us runners” - I feel like I’m an actual runner 🥹 Love the deep stretches and will shout you out here 🙌🏽
You're so welcome Vanessa! Thank you, I appreciate you taking time to comment 🙏 I always say, if you run you’re a runner. Doesn’t matter how far or how fast 😊 greetings to NZ from England 👋
i stretch so much on my own already, but hearing your voice helps me relax so much better after a run!!! i can get out of my head and into my body a bit more without having to think about what stretch i’m doing next or how long to hold it. thank you for all that you do
I did this stretch the day after my half marathon- my body really appreciated and benefited from it. I woke up sore and now feel much more mobile. Thanks
Well done o the half marathon Winston!! Great idea to stretch the next day and work through your joints and muscles to get them a bit more supple. Thanks for commenting 👍
i usually do a shorter stretch but i’ve been away from running for a while so consequently it’s been a bit of a painful restart- this longer more involved stretch really softened the blow and put me in a much better body/ mind state, bravo and thanks, i’ll be back
Amazing!! I’m so glad you enjoyed this stretch with me and it helped put you in much better state mind and body 😊 thanks for commenting to let me know🙏
Thanks for the video. I'm a 53 year old runner who is ramping up for a half. When I've previously upped the training the minimal amount of stretching has fallen by the wayside. I'm not young enough to do that now. I'm glad I found your channel.
Hi Ash. Loved the longer stretch after the run. As always, I feel so much better on the days I do it vs. the days I don’t (which is rarer and rarer now that I have found your vids). Thanks so much!
Thanks for sharing Lisa that’s really cool that my videos have helped you create a healthy post run routine, your body will be grateful 🙌🏻 thanks to you too for leaving a comment 😊
Hi Ash. I practice sports massage and I'm a runner, so my body takes a pounding! I've tried stand alone running stretches and yoga stretches for runners. Your approach, with the dynamic yoga stretches, are the perfect combination. The upper body stretches in this routine were an eye opener! My massage therapist stiff muscles were yelling! However, I felt great afterwards! Thank you so much for your follow along routines. Much appreciated! I'll be a better runner and therapist going forward 😊
Oh wow!! Thank you so much for your kind words Joanne. That is so amazing to read. I can only imagine how much work you get through as a sports massage therapist. I’m so glad you can relate to the dynamic nature of my practice. I’ve always found static to be unnatural as our bodies are pulsing (heart, brainwaves, breathing) so it feels more natural to me to wiggle and move the body gently in a soothing way. Thanks again for your comment 🙏😊
Wow!!!! Ash, you did it again. So amazing …thank you again for your videos. My runs have been incredible and my body soreness has almost completely gone away because of your help. ❤
Went on a little 3.5 mi, head started pounding halfway through. Got home and drunk some water and immediately did this, could feel the headache starting to go away about 5 min in. Rough run, great way to cool down at the end. Love your stretches!
Sounds like you was maybe a bit dehydrated, well done for getting the water in 👍🏻 so glad my video was able to help you cooldown and hopefully feel better! Thanks for your kind words 🙏😊
Thank you Ash. I also like this longer session. Not only do I feel the muscles relaxed but it’s also a good way to relax the mind to prepare for another day of work.
You're so welcome Ernista and you are absolutely right, it is so important to breathe and reflect before we start the rest of our day so the mind is a little less busy! thanks for stretching with me 🙏
Thanks, Ash!! Great stretch as always. I get sore in my hips and upper back after a run. This was perfect for working that out and relieving some tightness. Love your work
Thank you, firstly. Secondly, my run was delicious. Today, I've mastered diaphragm breathing, and paired with the slight humidity, everything loosened, my strides got longer, my breath slower but deeper, and allowed me to sail faster without strain--- just relaxing. This is just the cherry on top, feeling free, clear, and open. Thank you, always for helping us keep our temples balanced. Sending lots of love and light.
Thank you so much for your kind words and love and light. Same to you. Well done on mastering diaphragmatic breathing, that transformed my running when I was able to incorporate that comfortably into my runs. Have a great weekend 😊
I’ve been using your stretch videos for a couple of months now as someone who has recently taken running more seriously and increased my distance, and I just wanted to say they are incredibly helpful! There’s so much stretching content out there but you always stand out to me, it’s all running focused which is great but also you’re so informative and encouraging throughout, keeps me engaged in what I’m doing and I never find myself worrying if I’m doing it right or good enough. You have a really friendly and gentle way of doing the session. Thanks to you I now really enjoy stretching 🤣 and I love that I can always rely on your channel after a heavy run to help me wind down and feel better! 😊
Oh wow!! Thank you so much Lucy for sharing this feedback with me. It gives me a little boost to read comments like this. I am so humbled my videos have helped you as you start to take running more seriously. Well done for also taking your recovery seriously too 🙌🏻 so much more to come to help your running journey 😊
@@RunBetterwithAsh It’s definitely well deserved feedback! Keep doing what you’re doing! I’ve got the Great Manchester half marathon in 2 months so definitely need to knuckle down on the recovery aspect now 😳🤣
I just started running again. This is my second week. I have a bad habit of tryning to start a running rutine and become a person that runs 2-3 times a week, but I easily fall out of it. I´m hoping it will stick this time, and I´m trying to do more things right this time to avoid injuries. I´m really enjoying your warm up and after run streching videos! This one especially elevated my mood. It was a hard run, but now I feel a lot better. Thank you for helping us with these videos!!! Greetings from Norway❤
Thank you so much for that. Try to take some pressure of yourself and that will help create a weekly routine. It’s ok to go a little slower and ease yourself into a routine. Well done for giving your body proper pre and post run routine that will help. Greetings to Norway from England 😊
I just found your channel ND I am hooked! Thank you for your gentle approach to runners and our very tight bodies. I feel so much better after a 20 min stretch.
Ash, I recently found your videos and quickly became a subscriber. I've been an active athlete for many years but a few years ago I started having R knee issues, which curtailed my running (but not my cycling). I run just for fun and exercise now. Your videos and advice have helped with my return to enjoying running again. Thanks
Thank you so much for your kind feedback and becoming a subscriber 🙏 welcome to my UA-cam community. I’m so humbled to hear that my videos have helped you. Well done for taking the care of your body it needs now you’ve had knee issues 🙌🏻😊
Thank you Natasha, I’m glad you enjoyed this and it felt like it flew by. Sometimes simple is best isn’t it 😊 thanks for stretching with me and commenting as ever 🙏
Felt amazing and I learnt a lot! Thank you. I don’t normally do male workouts or stretches but you actually have a different perspective, which is great !
What a grand stretch! Thanks ever so much, Ash! Any stretch that starts not crosslegged works best for me. Loved the flow as well as a longer stretch. Hubby recommended this one. I can sure see why. Ran a few hills before the snowstorm. A great relaxing enjoyable stretch routine. Always appreciate how you explain how to do the moves.
You're so welcome Be! Oooh, I love hills. They make us stronger mentally and physically, great work on the hills 🙌 glad your hubby recommended and you enjoyed this one! Lots more to come, I appreciate your support in the comments 🙏😀
Oh my Goodness! This stretch was perfect for my after run calm down and recovery! I ran today the furthest i've ever ran and even when it went pretty well, this video has helped me to unwind and relax. Thank you so much Ash! keep the good work! :)
Thank you so much for this! Getting into running at 23, first half soon. I love yoga and so appreciate how my practice can now be catered to help specifically with the running - thanks to you! I will be a regular viewer from now on :) I love your vibe, so feel good. - from New Zealand
I did not have time for stretching after running earlier today. My hips were screaming for some. So I just did this stretch, and find the back of my legs so much more relaxed. Thank you so much! ❤
Amazing!!! Wow, well done on the 144km week!! Glad this was helpful for your recovery after your long 30km today, I appreciate you stretching with me and commenting as always Stefanie, thank you too 🙏😀❤
Thank you so much Grace, I love to read your positive comments. So glad you enjoyed this stretch with me and it was good for you 😊 greetings to South Africa from England 🙌🏻
This was a wonderful stretch! You have a great perspective and really appreciate the emphasis on feeling into what’s right for each person. Thank you ❤

I feel so much better after this longer stretch video. Thank you, Ash
You're so welcome! Thank you so much Sara. I really appreciate that 🙏😊
Stretching from Aotearoa New Zealand!
I do this after every run now! Perfect post run stretch routine
Glad you liked this stretch with me Rachel, thank you so much for commenting 🙏😊
I enjoyed this, please add something for the ankles as well.
Thank you for stretching with me and commenting 🙏 I mix up the focus area of the body in each of my stretches 😊
I love your videos! Not only are you a great guide, you’re also such great company while I stretch.
Thanks so much for that Chloe. It’s so kind to read 🙏😊
Thank you Ash! New runner, really enjoy the post run stretch!
You're so welcome Rachel, I’m glad you enjoyed this stretch with me😊 thanks for commenting 🙏 I hope you get the running bug 🙌🏻
i stretch so much on my own already, but hearing your voice helps me relax so much better after a run!!! i can get out of my head and into my body a bit more without having to think about what stretch i’m doing next or how long to hold it. thank you for all that you do
That’s great to hear Samantha 😀 so glad I could help you get out of your head and into your body, thanks for stretching with me and commenting 🙏
Just ran my first half marathon and this stretch gave me life. I feel amazing, thank you!
Thank you too Alexa for stretching with me and commenting 🙏 well done on your first half marathon!! 😀
Really enjoy the dynamic stretches! Telling my friends about your channel!!
Awesome, thank you so much as always 🙏😊
I did this stretch the day after my half marathon- my body really appreciated and benefited from it. I woke up sore and now feel much more mobile. Thanks
Well done o the half marathon Winston!! Great idea to stretch the next day and work through your joints and muscles to get them a bit more supple. Thanks for commenting 👍
i usually do a shorter stretch but i’ve been away from running for a while so consequently it’s been a bit of a painful restart- this longer more involved stretch really softened the blow and put me in a much better body/ mind state, bravo and thanks, i’ll be back
Amazing!! I’m so glad you enjoyed this stretch with me and it helped put you in much better state mind and body 😊 thanks for commenting to let me know🙏
Thank you so much for the videos! Thanks to your videos I was able to run without knee pain and just finished my first half marathon race today!
Well done!!! That’s amazing, your first half marathon is such a big achievement 🙌🏻🎉🎉🎉😊
Loved the added upper body focus on this one! I felt the stretch! Another great video🙏🏼 Thank you!
Glad you liked it Gina. Thank you too. I appreciate your comments 🙏😊
Loved the flow of this one, also liked that it was a bit more upper body focused, a nice switch up while still having everything essential.
Glad you loved this flow and the upper body focus. Big thanks for stretching it out with me and commenting as always Matthias!
I do one of your videos after each run. Sometimes only time for 5 minutes and today had more time for this wonderful video. Thank you!
Thank you, so glad you enjoyed this longer one and you fit this into your schedule. Sometimes the body and mind need a bit longer 😊
Thanks for the video. I'm a 53 year old runner who is ramping up for a half. When I've previously upped the training the minimal amount of stretching has fallen by the wayside. I'm not young enough to do that now. I'm glad I found your channel.
Keep it up Paul, you’re body will be grateful for it for sure 🙌🏻 good luck with the half marathon training and thanks for commenting 👍🏻😊
I found this one after my muggy 10 mile run today as I needed a deeper stretch. Absolutely great, thanks Ash.
You're so welcome as always Lesley 😊 glad you like this stretch after your 10 miler, thank you too for always commenting 🙏
This video was absolutely great! Your calming voice and emphasis on listening to our unique bodies is so rare. Thanks,Ash🎉
Thank you so much Kira, I appreciate you stretching with me and commenting your kind words of support 🙏😊
Middle of the week stretch session, I walk 7K+ everyday, was perfect just what my body needed, thank you!🙏🏻
Amazing Dee, well done for being so active 🙌🏻 thanks as always for your comments 😊
@@RunBetterwithAsh you are very welcome. You help so many people. Thanks again 😀
I'm so thankful I found your channel!! thank you SO MUCH!
I'm so glad you found my channel too Brooke 😊🙌🏻
Love this longer stretch! Thanks!
Glad you love it and it helped you Jenna! Thank you too 😊
Thanks a lot, Ash! I appreciate you explaining things and also not rushing too much (as others do). Recovering needs time and patience!
No worries Lucia. Thanks so much for your feedback. I’m so glad you relate to that 🙏😊
Wow!!!! Ash, you did it again. So amazing …thank you again for your videos. My runs have been incredible and my body soreness has almost completely gone away because of your help. ❤
You're so welcome! Many thanks for your comment it’s so nice to hear my videos are helping you 😊❤️
Really great stretching. Thank you! 😊
You're so welcome Katerina. So glad you enjoyed this stretch with me 😊 thanks for commenting 🙌🏻
Getting back into my running. Look forward to your post run stretch. I’ve tried others but yours are far and away the best! Thank you!
Awesome! Thanks so much for that Cheryl🙏😊
Thank you, great streching session!
Thank you for stretching with me and commenting 😊🙌🏻
Great stretch! Really appreciate your techniques. Thank you!
Thank you too, I really appreciate you taking time to comment 🙏😊
Love your work
Brilliant, that’s so good to hear that this helped your hips and back. Thanks too for your support in the comments 🙌🏻😊
Delightful stretch after my 15 mile easy run today in the wind and rain!! Thank you again for these great videos.
Cheers for stretching with me and leaving a comment Francesca! So glad I can help you stretch after your 15 mile run, well done on that 🙌👍
Haven't been running in a while. Got out there for a 5k today and needed a nice long stretch afterwards. This was just perfect, thank you Ash!
Thank you too, I appreciate you taking time to comment 🙏😊
I’ve got the Great Manchester half marathon in 2 months so definitely need to knuckle down on the recovery aspect now 😳🤣
Another great stretch! Thank you for this, your post-run stretch routines are my favourites!
Glad you enjoy stretching with me Sarah! I appreciate your comments, thank you so much 🙏😊
I just started running again.
Thanks to you too Robin, I'm so glad you felt the benefits of this stretch after your run and enjoy my videos 😀 have a great weekend 👍
Just got done with a 6 mile run, this really helped open my hip flexors and my shoulders thank you brother

Really enjoying your pre & post workouts
Thanks Zoe 😊 I’m glad you enjoy stretching with me 👍🏻 I appreciate you commenting, thanks 🙌🏻
