- Welcome to this Unlock Flexibility: Post-Run Yoga Stretch Practice. Taking the time to stretch after a run is incredibly important for your body. You will unlock your flexibility as most runners skip the post-run cooldown stretch.
Build a strong body with yoga, learn to control, strengthen and master your body.
As runners we neglect strength work. Let's be proactive which will help us run better, run for longer and run injury free. Work on your strength and spend more time running than you do injured, it's that simple.
It's important to remember... PRACTICE NOT PERFECTION! Don't follow me and try to perform the 'perfect' pose or move, listen to your body and discover how it feels for you, Don't force it!

Thank you for this video! I did it after a 10 km run, I usually do just standing cooldown stretches without a mat, but today I felt like I needed more and this session was perfect. I added a couple more stretches after the end of the video, on my back (it felt natural to do them after ending the video on the belly).

Great video mate - really loving this channel. Started running again and this is really helping my body recover. I’m 6ft4 and 225 lbs so the muscles and ligaments take a pounding with every outing, but your videos really make me feel better. Keep doing what you’re doing!

I'm 56 and trying to get healthier. Started yoga a few months ago for the first time ever and love it! I felt so good today I did a 6 mile walk/jog. Knew I needed a good stretch and found you! Thank you thank you thank you Ash!

Considering I was supposed to have the back operation last year couldn't of dreamed of this progress Ash. The consultant told me 20 years ago after the injury non impact sports so raced bikes instead. 2nd 10k without pain now and with your help I'm managing to build up to more gains. Cross training has also been beneficial. I have a really basic shoe the puma velocity nitro 2. It's comfortable and light but nothing to compare it with. Started to pick the pace up now so considering something like the Endorphin pro3 but not sure if I'd be wasting money as I've been pain free the last 3 runs with the Velocitys. Exciting times though 😁🙏

Well done for getting back into running and starting to focus on your health Katherine! My grandma always used to say "you can't look after anybody else if you don't look after yourself first because you'll burn yourself out!" Congratulations on the graduation and good luck with your career! I always speed through my post-run stretches, and I don't do yoga enough anymore. Definitely going to be doing more of this!
We all speed through our stretching, it's very common for runners to do that. That's why I'm here, to hopefully encourage you to enjoy your recovery and look after your body so that it is in good condition for your next run.
