@@bobf5360 Very well said. I think what OP meant is that Derek Trucks should be a household name and he's not. Blues fans know him and great musicians know him, but can't tell you how many people I've mentioned TTB, Susan and Derek to and been met with blank stares. You say the names Hendricks, Clapton or BB King and even non-rock/blues fans know who they are. Its amazing that he's not known at that level because he's that great. All that said, I totally agree that he has everything he really wants. Its just us fans who think that he should be regarded with the same reverence as other all-time great guitar players.
@@jasonamato2153 thats a great point, and I'm sure thats the OPs point. I would say though, that there are a lot of artists that could fall into that category (eg, Charlie Hunter), and to some extent, I as an appreciator of their work, am glad the average person does not know them, because it means i can still get to see them play live for less than $500/ticket. ;-)
Remember when these things would happen and you'd just read about it in a music magazine? So cool you can hear about it and go watch it now the next day.lol
I live exactly two miles down the road from Derek & Susan in Florida. I absolutely love watching them both play. There is so much love and passion for each other between the two of them, and you can truly see it in the way that they perform together. Truly a wonderful family!
Just amazing!! I love how Derek had a huge grin while Susan was ripping her solo, and then she was all smiles during his solo. I'd love to see more of this band, thanks for the share.
They're ok. I really want to like them more, but their stuff all sounds so similar and is just mediocre... despite being a band full of amazing artists.

One of my all time favorite songs. I have a whole category for this song on UA-cam. First heard this in the mid 70's done by Barbara Keith. Excellent version!
I love how Susan just looks like some regular lady from the library desk, then rocks the heck out of it and is a consummate musician and singer. No one else quite like her. And married to Derek, what a combination. I have loved them every time I’ve heard them play.
This is so good, you can hear the Jimi version in both Derek and Susan's solos, but you can also hear some influence from "Stairway to Heaven" and "Why Does Love Got to Be so Sad" in Derek's (in addition to his own inimitable genius)
Thanks for posting. With every vid, song, I etc. I watch I become more convinced that Derek Trucks is probably the best living musician in any genre. Watch one of the vids w/ him and BB King....King played with EVERYBODY and clearly has his mind blown every time he played with Derek Tricks.
Hey now as I look at Susan I just don’t get the visual of this woman dressed in a little house on the prairie outfit rocking the house but then she rips this solo just amazing and of course Derek always smokes, I wonder how these two got together maybe at a jam session ? But who cares what I think Susan and Derek are making great music these days and as for Dave he’s a sleeper ! Peace ☮ from Hawaii 🤙🏄🎸🏝🌺🍄🤙
Love Susan Tedeshci, amazing voice that can howl and play guitar 🎸. She still sounds awesome. Love Dave also... man wish i could have been at this show.
I haven't even heard it yet and just the anticipation of Derek ripping to this song is awesome. I wish I was there for this one, it would have been one for the memory bank. PS. I hope this gets pro released with post production work. That would be awesome. This seems like a great one.
Very thankful Lucas was in the pit for tonight’s show! Awesome to see Dave’s friends, who live in Jacksonville, swing by to help the band out. Thanks for posting this!
Just saw an interview w/Derek where he said at their Beacon Theater shows last year they played 100 different songs over 6 nights. So if it wasn't on their list before, it probably will be now. But good luck catching it!
They so could've segued into the final bit of Stairway to Heaven!! I can hear "And as we walk on down the road..." after each of those scorching solos!!!
Thanks so much for sharing this magical moment.
She may not look like a rock star but by the all the Gods she is, what a voice!
Janis passed the torch to Susan..She is the queen of Blues! I absolutely love her!💙🎸🎶
She's the only one on stage who had enough class to dress appropriately for a performance.
Derek Trucks is an absolute guitar god. It’s criminal that he’s not given more due or acknowledgment.
He is considered to be IT right now. People know Derek Trucks

The all around smiles of Derek, Susan, Dave, Carter and Stephan just show how much they enjoy playing with each other. It is a beautiful thing to see.
What a watchtower
Love the fact that "Watchtower" still goes on and on. Been one of my favorites for decades.
Derek stole the show at the Jeff Beck Tribute......i was there from California.....All were great in honor of the Man.....
Susan must be the coolest mom ever😁

Susan and Derek with DMB doesn't get any better!! Talent galore on that stage and it was 🔥!!

Jacksonville?
Susan has been one of my favorites since I got her first album when it came out, I was in high-school ❤❤
Very rare you get to see Susan shred like that. Hell yeah.
Just amazing!! I love how Derek had a huge grin while Susan was ripping her solo, and then she was all smiles during his solo. I'd love to see more of this band, thanks for the share.
google Tedeschi Trucks band and you will see much more , and discover another older famous band that Derek is a very close relative of ,
July 3rd they’re coming to Saratoga ny

"susan ripping her solo" let's not get carried away here kids

I had no idea Susan could rip up a guitar neck like that!! The whole thing was totally amazing!!! Thanks for sharing !!!
Susan has been playing like that for close to thirty years.
SUSAN BROUGHT THE HEAT!!!❤ DEREK BROUGHT DOWN THE HOUSE!
The way Derek looks at Susan: you can feel the love.
The drummer loves Derek. So do I. Everyone does.
DM has never sounded better than he does with Susan and Derek
The love and respect these two have for each other is lovely to see.
This is incredible. What a special night that must’ve been.
Best Watchtower they've ever done, holy shit!
Dave and Susan singing are a dream come true! Fabulous!
Thanks. ✌🏻👊
When Susan goes to her high range, I get chills
Gosh I just love that girl...
Susan played on a few of the Hendrix Experience Tours. She's BADASS
I had no idea she was on Exp Hendrix Tours. Curious what tunes she played.

As an infant? Susan was born Nov.9,1970, she'll be 52 this week. You're wrong. Hendrix was dead when she was born.
I finally get to see Tedeschi/Trucks live next month. Can't wait!!
Yall are lucky skydogs to witness "THE GREATS" on one stage. Damm, wish I could been there. !! Fantastic !!
Yep, love this one
Wow!!!! That’s a lot of power on stage right there.

OMG!! The energy Derek & Susan brought to the stage!!!! Loved every moment!!!
DMB fans need to follow the Tedeschi Trucks Band and TTB fans the DMB. Amazing musicians.
A match made in guitar heaven.
Thanks to share this wonderful music played by such a outstanding musicians, Susan and Derek are unique.
They both are Great 💯
Trucks playing Hendrix's riff with his own twist is the stuff of Legends. BMB + TTB, how lucky are we
GO GO SUSAN !
Ive heard many versions of DMB's Watchtower through the years but this one is in there with the Jon Popper version. This was amazing.
I’m pretty sure this is a bob dylan song that was covered by Hendrix then DMB
Credit to Zimmy.
I’d say amazing but that would be an understatement
utter real and genius at the same time.
I wish these two bands would combine. They are all just...royalty.
Hell YES!!!💫🧡🌶️
Love Susan Tedeshci, amazing voice that can howl and play guitar 🎸. She still sounds awesome. Love Dave also... man wish i could have been at this show.
I love how excited Dave gets when the music hits that sweet spot.
that drummer just grins when Susan takes off!
Unreal!!! Can’t wait, Susan. See you in Raleigh!

Susan & Derek don't need Dave. They're awesome
...boy...you really get it...
This was awesome. One of the best versions of this song for me will always be the late Michael Hedges on solo acoustic - just ripped those strings.
for sure RIP Michael Hedges, and for those who don't know > ua-cam.com/video/XqGHE5GqZ44/v-deo.html
Michael Hedges left us way too soon. His playing was perfection.
An Angel of the guitar.
Susan's solo gave me shivers, then Derek went off!
quoting hendrix at the ending solo was brilliant!!
Soooooooo Gooooopd!😍😍😍😍
Just some good old rock and roll
In a word, Awesome!
Very thankful Lucas was in the pit for tonight’s show! Awesome to see Dave’s friends, who live in Jacksonville, swing by to help the band out. Thanks for posting this!
Groovy stuff!
Susan and Derek need to put Watchtower on their set list!
Pretty sure they've done so a few times. Jambase will tell you for sure though.
Just saw an interview w/Derek where he said at their Beacon Theater shows last year they played 100 different songs over 6 nights. So if it wasn't on their list before, it probably will be now. But good luck catching it!
😎idealy should've played prince song since he would've been 64 yesterday
I said same thing to my hubby.
Why?
They so could've segued into the final bit of Stairway to Heaven!! I can hear "And as we walk on down the road..." after each of those scorching solos!!!
When you know 9:10 of your life will never be the same.

Susan and Derek are so good…
agreed. I love Dave, but he really should just let Susan sing this one. She nailed it.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard Susan NOT nail it. Or Derek. Seriously great people.
Crazy cool !!!!
Killer show. Would love to see them!
Thanks 😊
Mind blown!
Hermosa versión .
the most impressive thing abt this performance is how dave susan and Derek share the stage

Derek on LIOG was 🔥 tonight
Actually it’s a great song, especially when people like this are rocking it instead of Dylan.
Damn but that was fun.
Tim is almost forgotten in the background. Crazy talent on that stage.
Susan is awesome
Smoking!!!!!!👍😎
wow, so powerful.
DMB needs to put out a Pro camera view of this and LIOG!
Now Susan is Bad Ass!!
I say God DAMN!!!
I am so mad I missed Tues and went Monday now. I knew this would happen
Hell yes!!!!!!!!
