It's true, her singing performance is awesome here. Her and Marcus King are two of my favourite singers of this kind. Would love to see them collaborate. Zach Person has a really good voice too. Madison Cunningham is a great performer too. It bugs me a bit sometimes at the constant internet meme of music is not good these days. Makes no sense, if you just search around listening.

I saw Derek for the first time in Fort Myers Fl. in a little club. I think he was 14 years old.
I was blown away. Since then I've been a huge fan. In my humble opinion, Tedeschi Trucks band is currently the best band in the land. Susan's vocals are so soulful and everyone in the band is so humble. All of them are world class musicians. There is definitely a sharing of something deeper than just chords, notes, melodies and harmonies that transpires when you see these guys. So thank you for all of the incredible music. And I hope you guys keep doing it for many years to come.

The Tiny Desk format reveals the humanity of the artist better than any other I can think of. We don't just hear a great set, we see the human behind the music. For instance, Susan's joy in her husband , the connection, Derek's focus and zen-master calm. We end up knowing far more about the human behind the sound than we deserve.
