What does it mean when I hit the system button and select ExpressLRS lua, the screen comes up saying. “Loading… ?/???” Brand new Zorro and all I wanted to do was get to the bind process …
It means it can't communicate with the ExpressLRS module. Some people who bought the wrong version with just the 4-in-1 inside are experiencing this problem because there is no ExpressLRS module inside.
@@AlbertKimTV I bought the elrs version. The lua was there, out of the box, functional after several views of the lua. Went to bind it to a new build and now I’m headed towards insanity… lol
My radio will not turn on with 2 liion batteries. It only turns on with external lipo connected to balancer plug on the radio. Doubble checked continuety and voltage are running to the plugs which are connected to the board. Any idea how to fix the issue ?
The things that would make this a perfect smaller/secondary radio for me: color touchscreen, AG01 gimbals, and 18650 (or at least 18500) batteries. If this radio had all of that, I'd happily pay $250 or more (especially if there was an MCK colorway to match my TX16S MKII). Using 18350 batteries, which have less than 1/3 the capacity of the commonly available VTC6 18650, which is less than double the volume doesn't make any sense to me. Sure, the option to extend battery life with an external battery is there but it just feels like an afterthought. I want/need at least 3 hours of battery life to be comfortable flying all my models. Between all the batteries I have for my multirotors, and my LR models that are capable of 90 minutes + of flight time, 1 hour is pretty unacceptable to me. For the time being, I'll stick with my Tango 2 pro for my portable radio, but if Radiomaster ever implements the above things in a V2 or another radio, I will 100% be buying it.
All great features but they told me the market for those high end features is pretty small so they won't invest a lot of money into that type of design for basically a loss of money. Also, the color touch screen at that size for the Zorro costs more than $250 for some odd reason. I guess the radio would be in the $500 range. Not sure who will buy it at that price.
@@AlbertKimTV that's very interesting. I suspect the high price is due to the screen being an uncommon aspect ratio (2:1) instead of something more common like 16:9 or 4:3, which presumably means a screen for the Zorro would basically be a one off. For me personally, having touch is a nicety rather than a necessity. I rarely if ever use it on my TX16S after all. But, having color is a fairly big deal to me as I regularly use the iNav telemetry lua, as well as FM2M. While iNav will work in monochrome, it's just nowhere near as nice to use/look at. I'd still be willing to pay $250+ for a Zorro with 18650 batteries, a color screen (even if that meant going to a 4:3 aspect ratio and making the radio slightly bigger to accommodate) and the AG01 Gimbals, which they do sell separately at this point.
I want to buy one but for me the one main fail is the 18350 battery size, not just because of the capacity, but who wants to buy another battery type. I am not really seeing how the designers and marketers could see that this would help sales. Also I think the 2s balance plug on the bottom admits that the battery setups weak. I like Radio master but I am holding on this one. It is certainly not a Pro.
It's a trade off. Larger batteries makes the radio heavier at which point you may as well go for the TX12 with the larger battery bay. Their marketing research shows that pilots like you are the exception, not the rule. The pilots that want the smaller lighter radios, also don't fly super long. However, they have added this option for external power for those rare pilots like you who may go that route. They are optimizing the radio for the most sales. You aren't in that category so they are ignoring you to sell to a larger group which is smart for business.
wish they had the option of 4 in 1 model and the crossfire including instead of the 2500 and crossfire so if i want the 4 in 1 model i gotta spend extra 80 bucks
hi, can u help me please, my sd card is crash, i cant the backup of content file of zorro elrs, if u dont mind, can u help me to share your content file of your zorro?, by g drive. everyone tell me to download from github, but its not same like the factory content
@@AlbertKimTV The stick ends have two parts, I swapped the lower part with a shorter one that I happen to have. That shorten the total length just enough for my preference, and the center threaded shaft is barely not sticking out :)
Elrs internal module 1w + internal 4 in 1 multiprotocol module + external antenna + 18650 lithium battery and this radio would have been perfect. Next Radiomaster Zorro v2 !
Having both internal won't happen until the two open source projects gets merged. Many people are requesting this but the developers won't do it. It's not a hardware problem, it's a software problem.
Why do I keep thinking Radiomaster was THIS close to making the perfect radio??? Is it better than any other ones, yeah probably. But some of the decisions here. Max 250 elrs? Granted that's a lot of power and range. But why? Why not go all the way? And the batteries. Who in design thought those two smaller batteries were better than 18650s???? I'll probably be buying one and replacing my Jumper T-Lite which is my daily driver but damn. To think how close this could have been a slam dunk just makes me sad. Now I have to decide if I was gimped ELRS version or one of the others and slam a happy model nano 2.4 elrs on it. 18350. What the hell.
@@felipehol1 I know. I don't like the shoulder buttons on that radio. I like the switches on my Jumper T-Lite and the Radiomaster. I think the Zorro is better than the Pro. But sheesh, some of those design decisions. I would be willing to pay premium price for a high quality gamepad style radio. Because I like that form factor. If I liked that giant 16s everyone uses I'd have bought that long ago. Gamepad style does not have to mean cheap :(
They could have gone with 18650 but that would have been heavier and changed the shape of the radio. If you increase the max power to 1W, with the smaller batteries, the power on time will be very low. Maybe 15-20 minutes? At least there's the option for external power for power hungry people. If you need more ELRS power, just get the 4-in-1 and add an external module like I showed in the video. I'll be using that one and 500mW is more than enough power. Radiomaster is thinking of what will be best for the most amount of people. They already know there is a small crowd who want a certain exact config but they also know less people will buy it because it compromises on other priorities that aren't important to the ones who complain the loudest.

How do you get edge tx on this radio.
EdgeTX Buddy... documentation on the product page.
Which radio do you think would be a better fit for a hybrid pincher with big hands-Zorro or t-pro?
Since I'm a thumber, I'm not qualified to answer this question.
@@AlbertKimTV Yes, perhaps you are correct, the radio has some reasonable features, let's see how it fares.
wish they had the option of 4 in 1 model and the crossfire including instead of the 2500 and crossfire so if i want the 4 in 1 model i gotta spend extra 80 bucks
Probably a restriction in bundling crossfire with frsky stuff?
hi, can u help me please, my sd card is crash, i cant the backup of content file of zorro elrs, if u dont mind, can u help me to share your content file of your zorro?, by g drive.
everyone tell me to download from github, but its not same like the factory content

There are many after market stick ends that can shorten the stick length for the t-pro. But it seems Zorro's gimbal is better anyway.
LOL, you didn't see the stick end was already at the lowest position possible.
@@AlbertKimTV The stick ends have two parts, I swapped the lower part with a shorter one that I happen to have. That shorten the total length just enough for my preference, and the center threaded shaft is barely not sticking out :)
Just not a fan of the battery life
😁
There is a new version of jumper t-pro with 1w internal ELRS (and uses 2x 18650)
Gamepad style does not have to mean cheap :(
@@shadai7398 I agree, gamepad doesn't have to be low quality.
Weird design.. especially for lcd position placement 😀
🤣
