that has got to be the oddest feeling Ive have ever experienced ... watching Ron's tri motor yellow plane flying and hearing it change gears like a motorbike on a racetrack.... 😀
All this electric stuff sounds so steril, ther’s no soul at all. Bring out the gassers and big 4 strokes. Now those were cool sounding planes with real character.
If Bill brings that wreck back he should get some kind of trophy. Also loved the way the Yak looked, and agree with the commenter about the sound track to that trimotor - I thought you were having a laugh with the sound. Excellent video work, though, just great.
Amazing quad video near the end! Such beautiful trees and manicured grass! I could watch hours of this type video! Phoenix Arizona doesn't have big trees! Keep the speed slow and make more videos!
Nice video I'm not into RC planes but love all RC stuff. flew RC helicopters years ago got pretty good at it too but lost the flying field.the banter between friends was exactly the same as you guys that's half the fun cheers from the UK.
I envy you guys I would love to cut up and jab at friends at a little air field. You have so much fun I smile as I listen to the banter. Thank you for sharing and enjoy these fun times!
Aat about 11:33, something departs the from the hatch area .. it is very hard to see at normal speed .. but some piece of gear departs just before the RSSI drops off
Hello Bruce, late to the game on watching this one too,. But ""In My Opinion"" the soundtrack used at 18;10 til the end was perfectly toe tapping relaxing,. wish I could Loop it. Beautiful Autumn Tour too. Great job to you and the guys.
I really enjoyed this video. Your flying session videos are the best. You could fly gasoline powered giant scale planes during go-kart sessions and blend right it. After seeing Ron rebuild that plane that was shredded through a fence, thie comparative flesh wound should fixed in no time.
great video, my Corsair was like the viper, put it in the bin then 2 days later I decided to put it back together...flys better than ever now and into its fourth year af flight !...... wow the colours in the park unreal so lovely!
yes the viper is all in one piece again and will fly again as soon as i have time to finish it .All my favorite models are rebuilds that I bought for next to nothing as wrecks and rebuilt😀
Bloody oath, if you had as many aircraft as I’ve got in the hanger and a mrs who dont understand, you would keep flying with RSSI LOW too 😂😂 it’s all good it’s the only time I’ve ever had a plane go down due to lost signal in the seven years I’ve been flying Frsky since BRUCE got me using it lol…. I won’t be updating again from 2.3.14 as I am going to Ethos now after this for good i think (i’ve had my X20S for a couple of months and i have an X18 coming too so might be bye bye OTX for good i think!
Don't worry, a frontal system just went through us here in Port Lincoln South Oz and we are looking to enjoy 15C days windy and rain for the next five days... That'll get to you soon enough I expect. Been great weather up until now, but got to start raining and blowing sooner or later... Gee the Ranger just floats in with the flaps down!
Bill, stop being so camera shy, you and Ron are the stars of the show.... Enjoy all you guys and truly miss the companionship of flying with folks that love the hobby as much as I do. Cheers
Great day flying and fun, even some drone footage. Shame about the jet crash, but I guess it happens. Could really do with some of that blue sky for sure. 👍🏻
Bill no worries that will T CUT Out.... Tad of hot glue bamboo skewers and she's good to go... Well done that man with the tri motor set up glad your back on your feet and the ol magic is working again👍👍👍👍 Brian 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Ahh Bill.. Some might say that his claim of being excited after his jet crashed into pieces would be a cope, I can attest to the enjoyment of gluing together a wrecked foam mess like that. Wonderful fpv footage Bruce!!
It wasn't my jet and I was not flying it but i was given it because John who owes it knows that I love to repair them ,and now its mostly repaired and will be seen on the next Xjet vid
I’m still flying FRSKY, and even at short range I have noticed on rare occasions total a radio drop out resulting in a fast vertical landings..🙀😳🔥🔥 Even with a good well charged transmitter batteries, and different quads and receivers. I’m using RXSR receivers, what’s going on FRSKY??
What version OTX you running cause i have an X20S with Ethos on and its fine, and I flew the same aircraft with the same radio a number of times at the airfield with no issues no warnings no nothing until I went to the new otx firmware last week-i’ve gone back to 2.3.14 which I had been using for months with no issues.
I had these kinds of dropouts, sometimes at distances of 20m with my old XJT module and R-XSR and some other receivers. Then I recently got a TX16S with internal multiprotocol, planning to switch to ELRS, but since then I haven't had a single dropout and much better RSSI values. The XJT might have been damaged or worn out over time, but the difference was pretty big from dropouts every few flights to none after many months. The receivers all run accst v2.
Don't you just hate that when you have no control and it goes in the Ground then you start asking questions of why , Love you Guys Take care , from the UK
Ya hate to see it. I crashed my Simitar last time I flew. Might have been a bad ground though. The wing is mostly okay but I think the fuse is just beyond repair this time…
Don't have the time to watch a 20 minute video to find out what the title means!? Does anyone feel like explaining!? Why do you fly Radiomaster!? Thanks.
What are you filming this with, if you don't mind my asking? Oh, and what was the drone you were using to film the bike clip? Looks similar to the dji fpv from the shadow. Im debating getting that one.
For the record……the problem was open TX 2.3.15 after multiple range tests at home with 2.3.15 and 2.3.14 and ETHOS. I have told Frsky and they are talking to the Devs about it……so Radiomaster wont save you lol
Good day sir: I am interested in buying a pulse jet engine, could you tell me where I can get one? I would greatly appreciate your help. Greetings Manuel Sierra San Luis Potosi, Mexico
What's radiomaster got to do with it? I prefer to fly 915mhz with my trusty T18 for the past two years and have had zero radio related problems. While half the guys at our club field are getting "hit" on 2.4ghz. With crashes and fly aways. Wouldn't have one of those chicken feet radios.
Ive just bought a Frsky X20S tandem that runs 2.4 and 900 in unison so I’m probably going to start using that a lot more and retire the OTX radios for “backup duty”
Trust me there was zero signal between the plane and the radio by the time it was falling out of the sky!! I’ve had P 51 mustangs do high speed stalls in the past and I’ve had power on every time, This was definitely a Firmware related range issue-I have flown that aircraft and many others for months with the previous version of software on the radio with no incident and it was about this time last week I updated the radio to 2.3.15 and that was the first time flying with that version and you saw for yourself even as I was coming back towards us I was getting “RSSI LOW” hi spent quite a bit of time over the weekend doing range testing at home because I have a large property and my ethos powered X20S was perfectly fine, and the Horus was on 2.3.14 but on 2.3.15 The RSSI was significantly weaker (as low as 75 stood next to a plane on 2.3.15 as a opposed to 100 on 2.3.14 and ethos). Won’t be updating the radio any further and will probably start using my X20S now too🙂
that has got to be the oddest feeling Ive have ever experienced ... watching Ron's tri motor yellow plane flying and hearing it change gears like a motorbike on a racetrack.... 😀
I was just about to make same comment lol
The downshifts even synced up nicely with the turns at points 😆
Ditto...!
All this electric stuff sounds so steril, ther’s no soul at all. Bring out the gassers and big 4 strokes. Now those were cool sounding planes with real character.
I liked the 3 motor plane changing gear as it took off...
It does sound a little like it's running rich, and the throttle feathering on turns
definitely a four stoke.....
An other great video of the grown children playing and having fun. ☺️
Beautiful autumn colors!
I honestly can't get over how your shooting of models in flight look so damn good. Such a pleasure to watch Bruce!
Camera mounted to a shotgun stock maybe?
Experience! And a good cam helps I suppose.
The undamaged canopy will help realign all of the confetti. Love the new gear box in Rons tri-motor.
Confetti 😂
Biggest ball busters on UA-cam. You guys crack me up.
If Bill brings that wreck back he should get some kind of trophy. Also loved the way the Yak looked, and agree with the commenter about the sound track to that trimotor - I thought you were having a laugh with the sound. Excellent video work, though, just great.

I never heard a plane change gears before, your camera work is excellent
Great camera work ! Very enjoyable.
These are my favorite. So weird to me to see autumn in May, LoL.
The little clip at the end was beautiful 👍🏻🍻
Pilot knew what was coming, that's why he ejected early on😂 is he going to try and repair it?😂
Interesting that while model aircraft have noise limitations, no such problems are evident for the go kart/bike track
Screaming EPO. Great flying Bill, camera work as always gets the best shots etc etc . Well done again...
Good to know the pilot jumped before the crash
Great shots of the Havok. What a sweet-flying plane!
Well done, boys! Beautiful day. Great vacation! My thoughts are with you.
I envy you guys I would love to cut up and jab at friends at a little air field. You have so much fun I smile as I listen to the banter. Thank you for sharing and enjoy these fun times!
Need to put some PULSEJETS on them go-carts! 😁🤣🙃🤪
Aat about 11:33, something departs the from the hatch area .. it is very hard to see at normal speed .. but some piece of gear departs just before the RSSI drops off
Bill "love/hates" the cameras, so funny, but does so well in front of them. I'm glad he's a part of this crew.
Hello Bruce, late to the game on watching this one too,.
But ""In My Opinion"" the soundtrack used at 18;10 til the end was perfectly toe tapping relaxing,. wish I could Loop it.
Beautiful Autumn Tour too.
Great job to you and the guys.
Yak is a very beautiful machine , great looks congrats Mr Bill
Hi Bon and Bill. That looks like a great day to Bill. That looks like a great day to go flying. Thanks again for the video
I really enjoyed this video. Your flying session videos are the best. You could fly gasoline powered giant scale planes during go-kart sessions and blend right it. After seeing Ron rebuild that plane that was shredded through a fence, thie comparative flesh wound should fixed in no time.
Loving the vids keep up the good flying.
Some great flying there, Bruce!!! 😃
Thanks for sharing!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Great vid and wonderful shooting! Looks like some of Steve's flying days. LOL!
Cubbesna engine sounds great as it goes through the gears...👍 😁 6:00 (gears?🤔)
great video, my Corsair was like the viper, put it in the bin then 2 days later I decided to put it back together...flys better than ever now and into its fourth year af flight !...... wow the colours in the park unreal so lovely!

@@billlynch1631 thats the story Bill...... GREAT STUFF!
the motor in that yellow cub sounds awesome 6:00
Enjoyed this guys. cheers for posting bro. Safe travels
Some phenomenal filming, Bruce!
Arr, over here across the ditch it starts raining every time we look out the window.
“Rssi low”. Keep flying.

After the canopy came off, I bet that battery got A LOT of extra cooling!
I miss seeing your control tower nowadays.
So do we.
Before the viper crashed. You could hear the engine pulsing. Probably over amped the ESC and browned it out.
Great day flying and fun, even some drone footage. Shame about the jet crash, but I guess it happens. Could really do with some of that blue sky for sure. 👍🏻
@2:30 Bill does a fine Trump impression
The wheels of the FMS Ranger are definitely on backwards! That's why it looks dodgy in the air, everything pointing forwards.
LOVE the crash effect from FS Realistic... bloody wonderful. LOL
Bill no worries that will T CUT Out.... Tad of hot glue bamboo skewers and she's good to go... Well done that man with the tri motor set up glad your back on your feet and the ol magic is working again👍👍👍👍

13:48 it says Viper shows a Cobra 🤣🤣🤣. At least they didn't mix up the plane.

Edge tx on most platforms - is that where you step forward one too many and fall onto the railway tracks?
Wasn't the old saying "if you're not living on the Edge, you're taking too much space"?
Don't you just hate that when you have no control and it goes in the Ground then you start asking questions of why , Love you Guys
Take care , from the UK
I spent all day the following day range testing to be able to tell everybody to avoid OTX 2.3.15
Ya hate to see it. I crashed my Simitar last time I flew. Might have been a bad ground though. The wing is mostly okay but I think the fuse is just beyond repair this time…
the dirt bike motors and gentle gliding is fantastic.
frankly it's a proper mindfuck
FRSKY for the win on the blue jet.
Thank the heavens for ELRS
The guys have more money than sense, no RC manufacture will ever go out of business with these guys around lol
Don't have the time to watch a 20 minute video to find out what the title means!? Does anyone feel like explaining!? Why do you fly Radiomaster!? Thanks.
Strange planes, they sound like motorcycles 🤣
yes I cant wait for them to go eclectic as they drive me nuts
Is that what is called a "RON'S TRIMOTOR"! 😁🤣🙃🤪👍
Fantastic flying lads!
RSSI Low? Adding more throttle will sort that 🤦♂️
Yup, and it went low as I got closer-but you can’t see that because you’re watching Bruces video not where the plane was relative to us!
Beautiful Sunday, Bruce.
Nice video work, and the ending... WOW!!!
the Cabbessna looked good, especially with the bike noise
The Tokoroa Legends.....
That will buff out for sure.
yep already has and still waiting for some one to give me a real challenge rebuild , just love doing it
Tell Ron not so heavy with the clutch!!! He's gonna burn the trans out in his tri-motor hammering gears like that!!!!
I was planning on upgrading to a Radiomaster. Is there something I should know?
Yes, it's good stuff. I fly mainly RadioMaster and so do many others at our club. It's about the best value on the market right now.
Radiomaster is awesome. I have the TX16s with extra module for ELRS, it's incredible.
G';Day. Kiwi's have fun, can't beat it!
Looks like he needs to tune the signal in the menu.
Bill is obviously getting sick of having the camera shoved in his face. So would I.
But Bill has been maew a UA-cam Star because of that Damn thing in his face.
@@HoundDogMech "maew"?
I think it should be called the Tri-Cubbessna!
That's cool with the shifting cars
When the guy lost the canopy he should have landed
Your video shots from the ground are very nice and sharp and smooth. Can I ask what video camera gear you're using? Thanks.
It's a Panasonic HC-X1500 camcorder. I've made a video about it on this channel somewhere.
Do you know any good flying fields in Napier?
I gave up motorbikes at 79 and took up RC flying . Think I should have stuck with the bike . I never crashed that .
Incredible he keep flying without the canopy for no reason and something got disconnected
Bruce do the boys still go to the Airfield?
Love the Cessniper Cub
That's a funny sounding airplane. How many gears it got, Ron?
Bery nice camera work?
CONGRATULATIONS 🍾🎊
Good to see some flying. Here in the UK we seem to have had months of rain and high winds. No model flying here!
Hey there. I love your clip's. Can I ask you, what camera system do you use? The quality is great👍. Greetings from Germany Dirk

Sweet...shifter planes!
What are you filming this with, if you don't mind my asking? Oh, and what was the drone you were using to film the bike clip? Looks similar to the dji fpv from the shadow. Im debating getting that one.
Where is reason for radio master part?

Yes it will... Radiomaster uses EdgeTX :-)
But we know that shite happens no matter what you use and that into every life a little plane must (occasionally) fall.
Yup now I MUST use one of my other Vipers-the FMS 90 or the Taft like yours with the JP fan in🤷♂️
Two vipers -- COMBAT! Last man standing?
I've had same thing happen swear there is some interference there some times by a out side force lol
New Zealand is a beautiful place in Autumn.
Beautiful country.
Don't take chances with RC links, that's why I only fly control line, Cox .049 planes.
Nothing ever goes wrong. 100% reliability.
@CRASH ALEXANDER Exactly lol!
Good day sir:
I am interested in buying a pulse jet engine, could you tell me where I can get one?

Guess the pilot saw what was coming and ejected lol anyways abit of tape and a lot of glue should fix it
You got an "RSSI" warning. But decided to ignore it. What did you expect !!
