Hey PC J Law, have been binge watching your content many times over the past couple of months and now I'm proud to be able to beat deity consistently. I just wanted to say thank you - do you still have plans to continue posting content in the future?
I just won my first Diety game ever thanks to you. I usually play on Prince! Won Science by probably 3 or 4 turns. Thanks so much for your great videos. I've learned so much.
I have been able to win several deity games because of your tips, especially the food trade route one that i consider really gaming changing. I used to trade routes to other civs in early game to get the science boost, but the science generation is way bigger with lots of population in any stage of the game. Thanks for the videos, hope u make more
Just wanted to say I really appreciate the videos you have put up here on youtube, they completely changed my way of interacting with the game. So thanks a lot for them :D
Hey PC thanks to your amazing tips and helpful videos I got my first diety win as Portugal yesterday, keep up your content I always enjoy watching it! 😁👍🏻
Playing again to Civ5 and just discovering your very interesting channel (with a huge delay^^). You did a very nice job here! Sad that you seems not anymore active, you should continue! Best wishes.
Thank you so much for posting, PC J Law! I recently returned to the game and I've learnt so much from your videos and I'm moving up in difficulty. I'm not quite at deity yet, though, but getting there thanks to you! I have a question/request, however. We all know about the production focus trick (making sure your town grows to a production tile since the hammers are assigned immediately). But there seem to be a few other tricks, like "early growth" by reassigning tiles as town is close to growth. I've been trying to figure it out from your videos, but haven't been able to. Could you explain what other tile management tricks you use to grow early, but don't hurt production etc? I am sure, me and many others would love to see more details about tile management! Especially those you do in the early game
The only tile management trick you should do is try to align your growth and prod. Try to end both at the same turn. Another thing is just deassign your highest prod tile before growing
New upload! Nice :D Happy new year mate and all the best. Btw is there a Brazil tourism playthrough somewhere that someone can recommend? I'd like to see big tourism numbers and the process.
Do you think you could post more UA-cam, even if they are losses so we can see we're you go wrong? I can't work out how to use twitch to watch you so I'll have to look into it 😅
It’s been a month, where have you been? Your games are still only 4 hours, that’s really impressive Edit: Could you explain the double stealing from a city state giving you a negative modifier towards city states for the rest of the game? I think you glossed over that rather important bit of information.
Hi PC J Law, I was wondering if you could upload a video where you play Montezuma + raging barbarians. I've played this before, opening up with honor and then switching to tradition immediately. The key is to scout for barb camps and killing them without destroying the camp. You get +culture from Montezuma's unique trait and +culture from honor, providing you a whopping +14-ish culture per kill. The only downside is that you gain so much culture that you have to invest it in 'lesser' policy trees, because you can't get to the Renaissance era fast enough. Still, it's super fun and I'd like to see you try it. I've managed to get a deity victory using this tactic and I haven't even been playing civ 5 for that long.
Thanks for another civ 5 stream! I'm curious why you just gave america 6gpt early. The ai is usually forgiving with early wars as long as you didn't capture a city. Also you could have used that 6gpt to bribe Rome to fight America or vice versa. I think that's better than trying for a small diplomatic boost.
Hi PC J Law, awesome videos, and keep up the excellent work. I wondered if you would try a series with the parameters, deity difficulty, map of any choice, dom, dipl, culture victory, any civ that isn't classified as 'god-tier,' and last but not least, marathon.
How can you see, that no one have researched a given tech? I keep pausing, but can't figure it out 😅 Great educational as well as entertainment value in your videos btw 👏
the cost, in science, of each tech in a given level is the same until one is researched - then that one costs less. if 2 civs research it, the cost diminishes further.
Don't know if you still play, but I had a tip for you. In eUI, you can turn off certain units. I like to make it so that only workers show up and it makes it easy to see what all my workers are doing without having to click on each one every turn like it seems you're doing.
It depends! I rarely lose, and if I do it's due to early AI war, however I avoid it most of the time through unambitious settling! I show practically every game I've ever hit record on, on the channel, so that gives you an idea!
Hi PC J Law, thanks for the awesome content! I’ve learned a lot from your videos recently. I have a question about Liberty starts- in the event that liberty is a viable option, then when should a player plan to get out their National College? I get that Liberty is a high risk high reward strategy but how long can the National College be delayed in a good liberty start? Thank you!
Hello PC J Law, happy new year :D i want to talk to you about my recent experience on Civ V. I play deity single player from quite some time now, and i've decided to try some of the more unusual maps. I played with Shoshone on a North America map and Korea on East Asia map. Actually i tried to play this campaigns, but they both totally failed! I've come to realize that these maps are so big and so full of resources that the A.I. may have too much more advantages in spamming cities. They also seems to snowball quicker. As a player sometimes you get awsome spots and try like 5-6 cities tradition or going for liberty, but in the end you have so much improvements due to the abundance of resources, you fall behind the A.I. even more. Oh, and obviously aggressive AIs are REALLY aggressive and they don't give you any chance sometimes. Do you have some sort of experience with these maps? Did you find the same difficulties or do i just need to improve? Thx :D
Are there some deity games that are flat out unwinnable at the start? I'd assume you need a fairly good start to even contend with deity AI bias/bonusses
I Do Not Understand How you are winning these games. I play this stupid game every fucking day: deity, small map, Pangaea, quick mode. I get a religion every time, I maximize my population growth, even occasionally get a wonder or two. Nothing ever matters. Either A) you NEVER catch up with civilization X, so no science win, B) you get crushed by a civilization who seemingly has ONLY created military units the entire time. Or C) some other civilization has 1009 culture per round and crushes you in tourism. I hate this game.
We miss you PC J Law, will there be more Civ V?
His Twitch has had a lot of GTA5. Honestly, what more is there to show us with Civ 5? It gets boring after a while and it takes too long :/
With Civ VII coming, PC J Law is back with more Civ V,
Hey man ! hope you are doing well and will bless us with some more content soon

I’m sad this guy doesn’t upload anymore

Internal food trade was the biggest change that boosted my play

New upload! Nice :D Happy new year mate and all the best. Btw is there a Brazil tourism playthrough somewhere that someone can recommend? I'd like to see big tourism numbers and the process.
The original culture victory involved finishing 5 policy trees and then building special wonder to get the victory.

They got multiple things wrong with Civ 6, but they definitively managed to make the culture victory way more easy and interesting.

T67+ (no of cities after - 4)X3
Eg. If you have 10 cities that's 67+(3*6)= 85

very late comment, but do you spam research agreements? That helps your research catch up with AI a lot
