The word original is now meaningless and overused. I used to look forward when coming home from school, if I had any money,, stopping at their ice cream parlour in Cross Roads and smell the aroma, and could not wait to start eating the too hot patty, those days are gone. I can tasting it now in my imagination.

I wish I had known at the time I was in Jamaica to visit the patty factory. But we had at an excursion the opportunity to taste the Jamaican chicken patty. It was the best chicken patty I have ever tasted. So juicy and crunchy. My best ever food memory. Loved the stay at the Resort too in Jamaica. Jamaica is so beautiful and so are the people.
Well, they definitely get an A+ for transparency…opening up their kitchen to film while breaking several codes is not best business especially while publicly not taking health and safety policies seriously. I lost count of number of violations never mind the other many reasons I felt uncomfortable watching.

I use to live in that place, another place not far, Alvinos in Moss Side (The original Alvinos) would get a beef pattie served in a freshly baked mini Hard Dough bread. It cost less than a pound (£) back then, it kept me full till midnight.
