Not sure if it's that challenging but I figured I'd share this here in case anyone wants to try it.

Man, heisting with crappy weapons...reminds me of my botched stealth run in Big Bank Pro back when it was new. I was the only one left alive after the timelock door was open, and blasted through the heist for an hour with nothing but a 20 damage car-4 and 10 damage gruber kruz. Grantes it was only on overkill, but those pebble amount of damage makes it hard and I had practically 0 survivability since perk deck wasn't a thing yet. One thing to note for all of ye struggling with dozers: kiting works well. Create distance, shoot from behind cover, retreat once it starts charging or if your armor is failing you.
I would love a challenge centered around snipers (largely since I love using them but find problems with them/my play style at higher difficulties, and would love to see your answers and playstyle on those difficulties.
Suggestion can you beat PD2 as the Bulldozer. i think we all know what that means use best armor, minigun and armor perks like the dozer. kinda wanna see how he does stealth missions
I guess it's weird to say but this seems(for the most part) how payday 2 was meant to played originally. Like having to properly think and use different strats, that you don't do that normally but the stats used are more basic and common sense. Obviously no shade to how Payday 2 plays now, I love it, but I'm curious to see how Payday 2 would have been assuming that they had stuck to the original idea. Bonus: you can mildly initiate a similar concept by running a mediocre build with point restrictions and playing on higher difficulties.
3 other lifelines 1: ability to get c4 and turrets to help 2: have other people help you (1 person if used on mayhem, or 1-2 on deathwish, though they must follow the same rules as you) Or 3: you can partially opt out of the challenge for 1 heist (if it’s a challenge like this, then you can swap a weapon for a different one, you’d be able to either have a perk deck, if you don’t, or swap to a different one, if you can only use a specific deck)
What about "Can you beat Payday 2 with only 1 weapon?" Pick a weapon before starting and only use it for the entire game, no throwables or side arms. Only the weapon of your choice, but able to be modded freely.
Until we get Hector breakout, where we have to go straight into hell, and rescue Hector, because he has vital information that will save us, and then he ultimately betrays us again, and we gun him down before he can shoot Hoxton
Lifeline suggestion: Rather than being able to use the lifelines one time each, instead have a pool of x charges, x is number of unique lifelines. I believe the lifelines that you have came up with are great but an addition would be using the characters signature weapon in place of one of your own. Another would be doing one of the harder stealth heists on DS or Mayhem, allowing you to gain points for perk decks, but only 1 attempt or run.
A trick I use on Slaughter house is to use the dumpster next to the fence as a drop spot for gold and safe zone for healing [even with the turret], as well as throwing the gold over the fence right next to the marked container being relatively simple
I think the lifelines are a good idea they allow the run to continue In hard places and the fact that their limited forces you to be creative before useing them
So this is the unlimited beginner sallaD build (if with crew chief 0/9 :P) Edit: I saw lots of people meming about soup, wonder where's the soup joke from
Token 3. Brick Wall Busting: Circumvent the rules of the run for 1 heist where you would normally hit a wall. IE: Panic Room during the no shooting run, so you can deal with snipers.
If your going to do another one of these how about trying to use weapons on a random number generator. This means primary and secondary have to be chosen at random. After every heist you need to sell that weapon and buy another. You only have to buy weapons you can afford. I think this would be quite hard as you couldn’t really rely on one perks deck as dodge is too hard and armour wilder be good with low damage weapons.
if he can complete a heist on death wish with only the starter weapons, then i dont have any more excuses to why i cant comeplete certain heists on very hard with good weapons
One of my friends jumped me in on mayhem with literally nothing, it was my first heist in like 7 years, and I didn't go down once, and still got a pretty good number of kills. The starting weapons are... Actually pretty solid
idea: can you beat Payday 2 without spending money Suggestion: add a "deck reshuffle" lifeline, where you get to use a mod to lose all points in one deck in exchange for gaining an equal amount of points in another.
Just wanted to say this style of video is awesome + one of my favorite games! Oh and personally I really like the lifeline stuff. Its super creative and I think you should totally use it more! Keep it up dude!
I've had a starting weapon build for ages it's fun to bring out on simpler heists or when I have 3 "competent" players to play with as the it's a real run around and just hold down fire build with the ammo pickup being so good.
some challenge ideas: complete the game using only a certain weapon category (like using only pistols, smgs, assault rifles, etc) complete the game without using a certain game mechanic (like without jumping or running or things like that) complete the game using only throwables complete the game using only primary/secondary weapons complete the game using semi auto/full auto weapons
Great vid as always! As much as I believe the lack of Crew AI is the bigger challenge than the actual stipulations you set out, I don't fault you at all for bringing them in for Slaughterhouse. I'm a primarily solo player, and as soon as I remembered it was in the storyline I knew you'd be in for a rough time. I don't even bother playing it solo with AI because of the bag moving. All in all the lifelines seem like a fun and fair system to keep the challenge a bit more fair and interesting. Also, I happened to be using the amcar and chimano for 'fun' recently and I'm surprised you didn't take the frenzy/berzerker route to give them more consistent damage output. Berzerker's damage increase combined with Body Expertise almost fully negates the biggest drawbacks of the amcar; the low damage and low accuracy. As you'll never venture into Death Sentence loud in these challenge runs, combining these skills with the Maniac perk deck makes for an incredibly effective build. Even on Death Wish most bullets will be dealing 0 damage to you, regarding you pick up all the damage reduction skills. I have a feeling that the most effective perk decks for DS/OD aren't always the same as the most effective for DW, and the struggle you have using Anarchist in these runs only reinforces that feeling.

I have no idea what you're talking about and I can't seem to find anything about this other than the occasional "started mission but without parachute." "Meaning we may as well play it on Death Sentence." -- You have made a lot of bizarre choices in regards to this challenge and this is definitely among the most perplexing.
It'd be interesting if you had a big pool of lifelines that you could take out of for each challenge. Or even have people on your patreon vote for some out of a pool that you can take into a run. Might make the brick walls a bit more dynamic and whatnot that way. Or even some modifiers for a challenge run you already beat! Great vid as always, bud!

I love how I can feel how hard you’re spamming your mouse when you’re using the chimano against dozers
I have a feeling messiah would’ve been a good perk seeing as how many times you got downed
I hate dying to a sniper that undergoes mitosis and domes me
Can we just admire the sheer beauty of this man's voice
Cringe
Suggestion can you beat PD2 as the Bulldozer. i think we all know what that means
use best armor, minigun and armor perks like the dozer.
kinda wanna see how he does stealth missions
especially shadow raid and garrett’s foil
I guess it's weird to say but this seems(for the most part) how payday 2 was meant to played originally. Like having to properly think and use different strats, that you don't do that normally but the stats used are more basic and common sense.
Obviously no shade to how Payday 2 plays now, I love it, but I'm curious to see how Payday 2 would have been assuming that they had stuck to the original idea.
Bonus: you can mildly initiate a similar concept by running a mediocre build with point restrictions and playing on higher difficulties.
3 other lifelines
1: ability to get c4 and turrets to help
2: have other people help you (1 person if used on mayhem, or 1-2 on deathwish, though they must follow the same rules as you)
Or
3: you can partially opt out of the challenge for 1 heist (if it’s a challenge like this, then you can swap a weapon for a different one, you’d be able to either have a perk deck, if you don’t, or swap to a different one, if you can only use a specific deck)
What about "Can you beat Payday 2 with only 1 weapon?" Pick a weapon before starting and only use it for the entire game, no throwables or side arms. Only the weapon of your choice, but able to be modded freely.
Now it’s time for Stock Only No Attachments No Lifelines DeathSentence
He's right bois Hector probably not coming back after that. 😔
Until we get Hector breakout, where we have to go straight into hell, and rescue Hector, because he has vital information that will save us, and then he ultimately betrays us again, and we gun him down before he can shoot Hoxton
@@levieverhart8640 🤣
@@levieverhart8640 Sounds like a good Halloween heist.
@@fusrosandvich3738 be the only good one. At least compared to the console ones. Idk about PC
@@levieverhart8640
Nah, the PC event heists are also ass.
your dedication in this video along with the painday 2 video is insane...
3rd wildcard be Bain's Rental. You get to use any loadout you need for that brick wall.
This build is like a Panzer with no turret, just a hole with a guy sticking an arm out of the hole holding a .22 magnum
Short answer:
Yes, yes you can beat Payday 2 with only the starter weapons.
It’s painful, but it’s somewhat possible.
I really love these challenge videos. I know they must take such a long time to record & then edit, so kudos to you!
Yes the AMCAR is a bad gun, but it does look good, like aesthetically. (Aswell as the Clarion) IMO anyway.
I think the lifelines are a good idea they allow the run to continue In hard places and the fact that their limited forces you to be creative before useing them
So this is the unlimited beginner sallaD build
(if with crew chief 0/9 :P)
Edit: I saw lots of people meming about soup, wonder where's the soup joke from
I think ur life line choices r perfect difficulty ai team and jokers, genius
if he can complete a heist on death wish with only the starter weapons, then i dont have any more excuses to why i cant comeplete certain heists on very hard with good weapons
you can always git mur gud
One of my friends jumped me in on mayhem with literally nothing, it was my first heist in like 7 years, and I didn't go down once, and still got a pretty good number of kills. The starting weapons are... Actually pretty solid

These videos are great, Im not sure what challenges could be done next but I am excited to see what you do
idea: can you beat Payday 2 without spending money
Suggestion: add a "deck reshuffle" lifeline, where you get to use a mod to lose all points in one deck in exchange for gaining an equal amount of points in another.
That's just this but harder
that would just be this run without modding
Just wanted to say this style of video is awesome + one of my favorite games!
Oh and personally I really like the lifeline stuff. Its super creative and I think you should totally use it more! Keep it up dude!
There needs to be a meme build with the AMCAR and Chimano 88 viable on DS
They can be, in stealth DS that is
I've had a starting weapon build for ages it's fun to bring out on simpler heists or when I have 3 "competent" players to play with as the it's a real run around and just hold down fire build with the ammo pickup being so good.
Payday 2 with only turrets?
some challenge ideas:
complete the game using only a certain weapon category (like using only pistols, smgs, assault rifles, etc)
complete the game without using a certain game mechanic (like without jumping or running or things like that)
complete the game using only throwables
complete the game using only primary/secondary weapons
complete the game using semi auto/full auto weapons
Bruh, this would be so easy if you just used other guns, smh
Ikr
i know it is almost like it is a challenge
41:31 fun fact, because of the achievement related to it, by shooting at the magnet when moving the tax man, you can force him to crash through the roof
weapons locked to grenade launcehrs and rocket launchers. No melee nor throwables or any of the such. he shotguns may be used until grenade launchers for both slots are unlocked.
I know I'm way late and it's not the point but as someone who kinda sucks at payday, I feel that jump between mayhem and death wish too.
"Assault rifle category [...] weakest category"
*laughs in little friend*
32:32 "And this heist is, of course, bugged."
-- Wait, what? Could you elaborate at all? I have no idea what you're talking about and I can't seem to find anything about this other than the occasional "started mission but without parachute."
"Meaning we may as well play it on Death Sentence."
-- You have made a lot of bizarre choices in regards to this challenge and this is definitely among the most perplexing.
There are no ZEAL units in Boiling Point, which means Death Sentence is almost identical to Death Wish
13:11
Cops: *scooting back and fourth around the wide open van*
"Who are these guys!??"
Yes. Yes you can. I love the AMCAR and Chimano especially if you kit them out.
I love his payday videos, I can't wait to see what his payday 3 videos look like
It'd be interesting if you had a big pool of lifelines that you could take out of for each challenge. Or even have people on your patreon vote for some out of a pool that you can take into a run. Might make the brick walls a bit more dynamic and whatnot that way. Or even some modifiers for a challenge run you already beat!
Great vid as always, bud!
would love to see , deck specific runs , grinder only, yakuza only, Dodge only
It has to be a cash bank heist for career mode just so you know
I'm loving these pd2 challenge vids!!! Very much looking forward to future ones, especially seeing all the different builds (I'm a suuuper casual player who fumbles his way through levels lol)
@TheKknowley "How big of a mountain of bodies can you generate with just the default weapons"
half of this makes me appreciate playing with a friend
ICTV Anarchist is by far my favorite way to play anarchist. 400 armor, usually big guns, explosions, boom!
Sydney pack only challenge. You can only use the bootleg, the wing knife, anarchist perk deck, any throwable and any equipment choice
Cowboy run!!!! I want to see a man with a big iron on his hip shoot some dozers while narrating his robbery
If you were to give a unique lifeline to any challenge I think "Upgrade" would be a nice idea. Basically an example for this challenge would be upgrading to an AMR-16 and STRYK pistol, with some sorta downside. This could keep it thematic and be pretty helpful.
