Got an idea for a challenge. Start at level 100, and beat the campaign. The twist? Once you start the first mission, you can't change your loadout. This means your build must be able to complete all heists. We can call it the Payday world tour.

Stoic, silenced grim secondary, high concealment primary, uppers aced + medkits, and some other shenanigans for preferences.
Maybe Hacker? It's great in stealth and serviceable in loud (especially compared to other dodge decks). You can do a full pistol build with crits. Duel silenced pistols primary and a piercing pistol secondary. Basic first aid and ecm skills.
Awesome speedrun! I was lucky to witness the final part of the livestream, and the tension was very entertaining. The stakes are so high when the run is this long... looking forward to possibly more runs in May!
Also, congrats on 100,000 Kknowley! Absolutely deserved after all this hard work!

The Payday 2 speedrun community might be small, but it's very inclusive and friendly. It's super awesome to see a big youtuber shed some light upon it and encourage more players to do speedruns. Your run will hopefully inspire more players to join in on the fun and try some runs of their own. Looking forward to seeing more names filling the leaderboards :D

@@mdb831 I'm guessing the damon drama has given you the wrong impression. The community is actually very friendly and helpsome. Him creating an 'expose' video to stir up drama was uncalled for. He cheated and was therefore banned, that should have been the end of it.

Maybe something to try? Pinning a paper with loadouts for general stealth/loud and specific heists next to the wall in case you autopilot again
Working on a heist by heist document on what's needed for each step after this one, hopefully means that I don't have to do things from memory and will help new runners to the scene

Congrats on 100k! Speedrunning is something that I always wanted to get into, but there aren't many games that I'd consider myself good enough at and I start feeling burnout much quicker than the average person, I'd say. I'd hate to practice one of my favorite games so much that it ends up feeling like a chore that I can't stand doing. It may not be the thing for me, but I have nothing but respect for the general speedrunning community and the things they do (not to mention how entertaining speedruns are and how absurd some of the strats that people come up with can be.)

Hey man, I haven’t been the longest viewing fan ever, having just found you at the end of December, but I gotta say I really like all the effort you put into making such awesome and entertaining content for such an old game still! Keep it up!
This was a blast to watch live, I caught all of the successful run and was glad to see some of the tips I mentioned in chat (re Big Oil D2) made it into the video; can't wait for the next one, I'll do my best to see it happen live :)

I always loved this game. I never once believed i would sit behind a window, waiting for a guard to pass by 2 times so i can learn his patterns. Do the same to a few others and after 20 minutes mess it all up and restart. Sounds terrible but im having fun. And its just so calming and exciting all at the same time. I do the 4 turrets for loud so thats all the same lol.

Hey kkowley long time viewer Really like your videos congrats for 100K
I run Mallcrasher twice as the first thing for some XP after going infamous since it's very quick and very easy, and I don't like Payday's stealth...
Best I've found is to bring any silenced gun, shoot up the cafe downstairs, when you go grab the gas can, get the on further away first. The one closer to the front door you can actually cheese as it's close enough to pick up the through the wall which makes a second trip much faster.
The first gas is probably best spent on the barbershop since it's closest, the second for the gym so you can easily move to the Pear shop and the Car.
If you can delay going loud and shoot enough windows as you move along, you can even hit the requirement before the police assault arrives (except possibly on Death Wish and Death Sentence) and then it's just waiting for Bile.
watching this in the background while playing any game makes me speedrun it
I honestly feel as though Fresh% is probably the more interesting run that should be the precedent for future runs. The challenge of requiring risky strategies to optimize times, to be able to play without safety nets, the thrill of not only playing well but also being lucky and being prepared for that good fortune; isn’t that the whole spirit of speedrunning?

Now I want to see martincitopants do this... lad did 3 speedruns of justcause 3, each in a single sitting. His fastest was 12.5 hours. his first was just over 20.
He may not be as familiar with payday, but I feel like he has the spite to do something impressive.
That Golden Grin clip is eating hours of my life, so coming back here to remind myself that he hits it first try and makes it look as difficult as the tutorial heist is a bit of masochism on my part

The first time i did the Nuclear warhead heist, i didnt know about the car. So i did exactly what you did, balanced all the nuclear warheads and the cash and drug bags on the forklift and drove that all the way down.
I don’t know why but hearing you say you’d be doing the run on a level 0 account reminded me of playing payday 2 on ps4 grinding yellow bull packages on jewelry store to try to get a suppressor so I could finally do stealth heists lmao

I think you can actually save time on this heist by using a grenade launcher and kill the driver before he even arrives.
His character is like hidden behind a building that is on the same street which he comes from and killing him is faster or smth, since then the other escape option triggers.
He even showed it in the intro

You are my favorite payday2 UA-camr and I love your content, also I have an idea for a challenge run where you only use non automatic pistols. The rules are no stoic, no melee, no ove9000 saw, no throwables, and all equipment is allowed. Btw if you want you can use the AI crew but it’s preferred that you don’t.

Hacker would honestly be the best deck to run seeing as you are still able to have nearly capped out move speed with suit + speed skills, while being effectively unkillable on loud for any difficulty outside of death sentence AND having an extremely valuable stealth deck.

You can use tge keyboard to move around the menu.
Examples:
By pressing Enter in pre-planning, you instantly ready up
Using direction keys or WASD (probably) to move around the menu.
You can leave the heist really fast by doing this
Esc (to open menu) + Up + Enter + Left or Right (any direction in x axis) + Enter
Note: I haven't played in a long time, so I knight be wrong

Heres a run idea, beat the game without going down or going inti custody once. Going down means having to reset your character progression and start the career mode all over again

One time my friend did kind of the same clip in the golden grin but instead of the plant they used there bad internet to just clip inside the vault from the drill

for a 8 hour+ speedrun, the run isnt bad at all! Because alot of sections in this game are RNG based, so its actually pretty good, if you're going to do it again(i doubt) i hope you'll have good RNG
