Scout Build:
Primary: Lever Action Shotgun (Probably the Biker Pack 1887)
Secondary: Walther PPK Pistol
Melee: Lucille
Build: Anything that helps with dodge and speed
Armor: Two Piece Suit or just Ballistic Vest
And obviously you could mod the weapons from TF2 or use regular guns!
Oh,and no stealth,Scout is all about the ego and boisterousness

Kknowley, if you also do engineer, be aware that you can use more than 1 sentry since in his meet the team video, It shows him with 4 turrets, hopefully Yelwonkk Will remember that
i really wonder how good that run would turn out. with the sentry tree fully maxed out, you can have 6 sentries (yes, really) with AP rounds and all that. god i love payday 2

My guess for the jarate glitch is the cop being unloaded on mission complete and the game possibly trying to remove the jarate effect from a nonexistent entity, leading to a nullpointer exception and crash

Love these TF2 loudouts and I hope you finished off all nine together. Possibly before Payday 3, unless you want to try it in Payday 3 once it comes out.

Something funny I realized is that the graze ability actually makes sense in this because in MvM sniper has an ability called explosive headshots that basically does the same thing.
Possible future challenge run idea:
Beat Payday 2 as Tanya Adams (Allied Commando from C&C Red Alert)
- Akimbo Pistols only. (preferably high power ones like the Baby Deagle or Parabellum)
- Revolvers and Full-auto pistols are prohibited
- No melee other than weapon butt
- Mines/Charges for equipment
- Any objective that can be blown up with charges has to be (unless you run out)
- Only explosives for grenade slot (or some consumable that can work in place for her Time Belt she has in RA3)
- Stealth only when mandatory
- Bomb Forest is to be done since blowing up a train is right up Tanya's alley.
- If Rulebreaker is needed, assault rifles are allowed (She has a laser rifle in the Mental Omega mod, so that's why)
I've been loving these TF2 themed playthroughs, they're so well made! Keep it up!
21:12 i think the intended method was to use the Unlocked scope from the "Zipline kills" achievement, which included a "rangefinder" at the the top of it to determine enemies that were within the distance needed for those achievements
Every Kknowley upload makes me more excited for the amazing payday 3 challenge runs we'll get in the future

Fun fact: For a while I thought that cricket was just another name for croquet. Also, you should do a "heisting as the Founding Fathers intended" challenge were you have to use the musket.

The 76% ambush chance from going day 1 loud only occurs if it takes more than 30 seconds AFTER the alarms go off to make the escape, so you still more than likely had the very low chance of ambush.
Next time you should try to do a medic build:
-most kills must be made by teammates or bots;
-Protect your team at all cost;
-small crossbow secondary as only weapon;
-could be a mix of melee/combat medic build.
I think that being a team focused challenge would be great, since it would be extremely different from the other ones

I can confirm that the AI is becoming self-aware
Just today I had a Marshal shield shove his shield through my gun to stop me from shooting out his light
I also got thrown around so much that I thought Overkill had a secret collab with Ultrakill to add Minos Prime
I love the TF2 playthroughs. I loved TF2 for many years but made the recent decision to quit, but that wont stop me from enjoying these amazing challenge runs.
Gordon freeman from half life 1-2 build:
Primary: the predator 12G shotgun (aka the spas 12) or scarface's little friend (it's his main weapon in the first game)
Secondary: Bronco.44 revolver, the signature 40 pistol with the metal slide and a compensator or a non silenced mp5
Melee: gordon's crowbar, which is the reskinned ice pick
Build: armorer/anarchist due to how important the protection the HEV suit grants
It'd be nice if you used the Legendary armor skins mod to use the HEV as your suit in game and used the reservoir dogs glasses as your mask
Stealth is an option due to the amount of sneaking and stealth mechanics there are in HL1-2, but it should be primarily loud

Idea as the medic: use some mods to give you access to the syringe gun and medigun, but call in your previous challenge run characters to be your crew AI and give them loadouts that you used during those runs. A few extra rules to make it harder: you must have all your allies in tow when you finish a heist. Lifelines will be drop difficulty, power grind, and rule breaker: the rule break should be you are allowed to leave a single ally behind.
This might be similar to the jokermon run but it does seem fun.

I can only think of a few types of UA-cam video that actually get me excited to immediately watch the full thing as soon as I can- a Knowley Payday 2 challenge run, especially a TF2 one, is one of them. Absolutely love these and I can't wait to see how Payday 3 is tackled.

I think even a playthrough of an entire dlcs loadout would be interesting to watch. Scarface would be interesting because of the weakish primary but the very good perk deck

18:00 An interesting fact about the day2 ambush is that on day1 if you get out between 0-25s after the alarm rings then there is a 0% chance of the ambush happening. 25-50sec after alarm is a 25% chance and 50sec+ after alarm is a 75% chance. This is from a 2yr old Marcmb video and I am pretty sure it is up to date but basically it means you can easily ecm rush it with hacker even as a solo without having a chance of the day2 ambush since you get an extra 25sec on top of the usual ecm and pcms.

Nice video. If you're thinking on continuing the series, I think you could add the rule of "must use the critical hit skill" to simulate the random crit mechanic of tf2

Having driven a post-2010 commercial truck, I can reliably say that you just summed up all of us drivers' biggest gripe with newer tractors... especially when you consider that DEF is literally just highly concentrated urea
I can't wait to see how you'll play PD2 as the engineer! I'd imagine that sentries, shotguns, pistols, and any construction/repairman tools would be the only weapons allowed!

This playstyle looks familiar, I got my deathwish skull with a sniper SMG build using rogue as the deck. At the time the mosin nagant was the only rifle you could get down to 23 detection risk with the black stock, irons, and short barrel. The blaster 9 was my SMG of choice at the time, and molotovs to give me some light area denial when I needed breathing room. Though there are more snipers you can hit that concealment threshold now than there were at the time and the TF2 themed sniper build I have uses the compact 5 and the amaroq.
Hello Kknowley, recently i got idea on challenge, and I think it's good. It consist of : play as
Wild West gunslinger, only allowed perk deck is rogue (I know it isn't exactly the Best perk deck, but it is still called challenge am I right?), only throwable allowed is dynamite, and only weapons allowed are from butcher western pack: I think it would be a great challenge, because you could use bow for stealth and Winchester and Colt for loud. Also great video, thank you for time you invest in it.
I was just thinking about trying a sniper build after getting into Payday 2 a month ago, perfect timing!
Fun fact: On framing frame, the chance of getting the ambush is the same between finishing in stealth, and leaving with the alarm UNTIL more than 50 seconds have passed. So, by all accounts, the ambush wasn't going to happen on FF D2 - probably, atleast.
As an Ex-President main I do approve of its use for this challenge run.
And just like you said, your accuracy determines how fun it is. If tou cant hit the broad side of the barn you will get destroyed, but if all your shots land; youll feel borderline invincible.
The Jarate crash is probably caused by something similar like the poison gas affecting cops would crash the game on heist end or just randomly
After you do all the tf2 guys, try making a death sentence run with a full team with 4 different tf2 challenge run rules for each party member. Either with friends, crew ai, or even the community.
I was excited for the next one like this!

tbh, this challenge could have been made a bit more in character:
Snipers, no Bullpups (Since TF2 has no vanilla model of such weapon) as well, your choices could be limited to:
Stock equivalent: Any R700 style bolt action.
Sydney Sleeper: the M40 with the ammo thingy on the stock;
Machina: Thanatos, but you can ONLY FIRE if SCOPED IN.
Bazaar Bargain: Mosin-Nagant, with either a simple zoom scope or base iron-sights.
The Classic: a PSG-1 (Since there's no G36 as a Sniper weapon nor a kit to mod one into a sniper esque SL-8)
for SMGs:
Stock: Compact-5
Cleaners carabine: either a compact 5 w/ silencer or an MPX with folded/no stock and a silencer.
Melee: Machetes, of course.

Challenge run suggestion (for after remaining tf2 mercs):
Can only play as core 5 heisters. (Dallas, Chains, Wolf, Hoxton, Houston)
If playing as Dallas you can only use the crew chief perk deck and skills from the mastermind tree, Chains = muscle & enforcer skills, etc...
You can only use weapons matching to your skills. (Dallas = snipers, Chains = shotguns, wolf = SMGs/ARs/LMGs, houston = anything supressed, hoxton = pistols/melee)
You can only use deployables matching to your skills. (Dallas = medic bags & faks, Chains = ammor bags, Wolf = sentrys, houston = body bags & ecms, hoxton = none?)
You can freely switch between these 5 builds throughout the run as long as all 5 stick to the rules stated above
Maybe remove the weapon & deployable rules as it might be too hard but definitely keep the perk deck & skill restrictions... and also the heister restrictions to kill morale.
I feel as though this can be a proper challenge for you because so much of a heisters strength in Payday 2 comes from a good build, and a good build requires a good perk deck and skills from all trees, which you don't have.
How about doing a Pyro Build?
Using the Flamethrower MK.1 (or MA 17), either the Locomotive, the Claire (both using DB/Buckshot) or Compact 40mm (using Incendiary nades) (or both interchangeably), with the throwables being Incendiaries/Molotovs and the Fire Axe Melee. Build only restricts the Engineer, Sharpshooter, Shinobi, and Artful Dodgers skill trees (BTW, Tripmines are fair game if they have Fire Trap on them), and as for skill sets, no restrictions on that.
Only took 6 years for another challenge vid. Finally. X.x love the other content but it's nice to get back to this.
36:26 I have to disagree. While the Biker Heist is certainly not good, Day 1 is the problem. Day 2 is short, balls to the walls, suffers from less terrible decisions.

An idea for a Medic Build/ruleset (if you find weapons on ModWorkshop that would fit the roles I list here much better than what I suggested, use those instead):
Primary: Light Crossbow with normal or poison bolts/JP36 (a low damage AR, which is as close as I think we have to a primary slot Syringe Gun).
Secondary: Hand Crossbow (standing in for the Crusader's) with regular OR poison bolts/a low-damage SMG (standing in for the Syringe Gun).
Melee: Stainless Steel Syringe/the closest equivalent you can find to the Bonesaw.
Throwable (if applicable): Frag/Viper Grenades, maybe also Shurikens?
Build: Healing with a focus on team support where possible. Must put points into one of the two medical deployables, must take at least one medical deployable if using Jack of All Trades, and must use a perk deck with a healing aspect (Hacker/Stoic/Leech are to be considered last due to their overpoweredness).
Armor: Two-Piece Suit - for bonus points, do a run of No Mercy while getting to Level 10 for tutorial-skipping purposes to ensure you can wear the Scrubs for the entire run (I believe the Tailor Expansion mod also has a style for the Scrubs that completes the Medic look, if you're willing to dip a little further into the mods).
Basic rules: The run must be played with one partner, who is not allowed to bring healing of any type and who is highly encouraged (though not required) to use the loadout of any TF2 mercs previously used in challenge runs. If possible, difficulty settings should be adjusted to account for Player 2 - maybe say that if one player goes into custody it's considered a failed attempt, maybe turn on One Down if possible, or maybe add an additional jump to Death Sentence once that unlocks - I don't know, I'm not the challenge runner.
Medic is allowed to deal damage with any of his weapons, but should try to focus on keeping his patient alive as priority one if their health gets too low (priority two is those other silly things like "the objective").
Bonus side objectives: Unlock the Tombstone Slugs (if at all possible under these restrictions), and try your best to keep your kill count lower than your patient's in each heist.
Potential Lifelines: Phone a Friend (call in a third player for one heist, who must follow the same restrictions as Player 2), Drop Difficulty (play a heist at one difficulty setting lower than it should be at this point and turn off One Down if the ruleset says it should be enabled), and Rule Breaker (each player gets to ignore one of their imposed restrictions).

Sociopath combined with fugitive skill tree
A sword and a grenade launcher
(Feel free to use things like medical bags and any throwables of your choosing, considering not having a proper stealth weaoon would make stealth very hard)

Play with a friend, who's not allowed to use med bags faks or inspiration. Added challenge, they're only allowed to use another tf2 challenge run weapons.
Primary: air bow
Secondary: there's no good option, but the medic is German, so maybe limiting yourself to German made weapons in your secondary slot
Melee: syringe could work
Perk deck: tag team

Has anybody notice how Kknowley uses some of the item names/ phrases from the meet the (insert class name) videos? e.g Razorback, Bludgeon their wife to death with a golf trophy, Sydney Sleeper? And has done so in other challenge runs like heavy and spy (I don't know about demo)
Suggested it before, still think its a great idea. Payday 2, as Payday: The Heist. Only things in Payday: The Heist usable. Skills and Perk Decks may make it hard, either limit them, or don't use them at all.

Powerful but unsafe is exactly how ex pres is played. A weapon you can acquire multiple kills in quick secession to build the health pool, and a secondary to break your own armor (to heal) and clear hordes.
I find LMGs and ARs with a compact GL40 to be the best combination on DSOD.
