Kknowley, if you also do engineer, be aware that you can use more than 1 sentry since in his meet the team video, It shows him with 4 turrets, hopefully Yelwonkk Will remember that
i really wonder how good that run would turn out. with the sentry tree fully maxed out, you can have 6 sentries (yes, really) with AP rounds and all that. god i love payday 2

Something funny I realized is that the graze ability actually makes sense in this because in MvM sniper has an ability called explosive headshots that basically does the same thing.

Possible future challenge run idea: Beat Payday 2 as Tanya Adams (Allied Commando from C&C Red Alert) - Akimbo Pistols only. (preferably high power ones like the Baby Deagle or Parabellum) - Revolvers and Full-auto pistols are prohibited - No melee other than weapon butt - Mines/Charges for equipment - Any objective that can be blown up with charges has to be (unless you run out) - Only explosives for grenade slot (or some consumable that can work in place for her Time Belt she has in RA3) - Stealth only when mandatory - Bomb Forest is to be done since blowing up a train is right up Tanya's alley. - If Rulebreaker is needed, assault rifles are allowed (She has a laser rifle in the Mental Omega mod, so that's why)

Next time you should try to do a medic build: -most kills must be made by teammates or bots; -Protect your team at all cost; -small crossbow secondary as only weapon; -could be a mix of melee/combat medic build. I think that being a team focused challenge would be great, since it would be extremely different from the other ones

I wish they did a 18th-19th century weapons pack, as an in between for the western and medieval packs. Lots of weird prototype and low production guns that could be a ton of fun to play around with. The Pauly 1812 shotgun and Hall rifle, for example. I've always been a huge fan of single shot rifles, I'm always the guy in Hunt attempting to land cross map headshots with the Sharps, and never hitting a single one. For Payday, the Hall could be a great dozer killer to pair with a more versatile sidearm. There were also the dozens of Lorenzoni pattern repeaters. If you wanted to go a little further in time, you could also have the Spencer rifle, though that's getting dangerously close to western

18:00 An interesting fact about the day2 ambush is that on day1 if you get out between 0-25s after the alarm rings then there is a 0% chance of the ambush happening. 25-50sec after alarm is a 25% chance and 50sec+ after alarm is a 75% chance. This is from a 2yr old Marcmb video and I am pretty sure it is up to date but basically it means you can easily ecm rush it with hacker even as a solo without having a chance of the day2 ambush since you get an extra 25sec on top of the usual ecm and pcms.

Idea as the medic: use some mods to give you access to the syringe gun and medigun, but call in your previous challenge run characters to be your crew AI and give them loadouts that you used during those runs. A few extra rules to make it harder: you must have all your allies in tow when you finish a heist. Lifelines will be drop difficulty, power grind, and rule breaker: the rule break should be you are allowed to leave a single ally behind.
I can only think of a few types of UA-cam video that actually get me excited to immediately watch the full thing as soon as I can- a Knowley Payday 2 challenge run, especially a TF2 one, is one of them. Absolutely love these and I can't wait to see how Payday 3 is tackled.

I really want to see the end of the "TF2 Mercs" challenges with the Secret. Maybe have 4 players as the different "classes" (or use the big lobby mod for all 9) and do the Secret. That'd be an awesome finale

As an Ex-President main I do approve of its use for this challenge run. And just like you said, your accuracy determines how fun it is. If tou cant hit the broad side of the barn you will get destroyed, but if all your shots land; youll feel borderline invincible.
Fun fact: On framing frame, the chance of getting the ambush is the same between finishing in stealth, and leaving with the alarm UNTIL more than 50 seconds have passed. So, by all accounts, the ambush wasn't going to happen on FF D2 - probably, atleast.
After you do all the tf2 guys, try making a death sentence run with a full team with 4 different tf2 challenge run rules for each party member. Either with friends, crew ai, or even the community.

Hello Kknowley, recently i got idea on challenge, and I think it's good. It consist of : play as Wild West gunslinger, only allowed perk deck is rogue (I know it isn't exactly the Best perk deck, but it is still called challenge am I right?), only throwable allowed is dynamite, and only weapons allowed are from butcher western pack: I think it would be a great challenge, because you could use bow for stealth and Winchester and Colt for loud. Also great video, thank you for time you invest in it.
This playstyle looks familiar, I got my deathwish skull with a sniper SMG build using rogue as the deck. At the time the mosin nagant was the only rifle you could get down to 23 detection risk with the black stock, irons, and short barrel. The blaster 9 was my SMG of choice at the time, and molotovs to give me some light area denial when I needed breathing room. Though there are more snipers you can hit that concealment threshold now than there were at the time and the TF2 themed sniper build I have uses the compact 5 and the amaroq.
Just keep in mind in case you do a Scout run: The Mosconi looks like his double barrel, the force-a nature. Apart from that, well done on another run mate!
tbh, this challenge could have been made a bit more in character: Snipers, no Bullpups (Since TF2 has no vanilla model of such weapon) as well, your choices could be limited to: Stock equivalent: Any R700 style bolt action. Sydney Sleeper: the M40 with the ammo thingy on the stock; Machina: Thanatos, but you can ONLY FIRE if SCOPED IN. Bazaar Bargain: Mosin-Nagant, with either a simple zoom scope or base iron-sights. The Classic: a PSG-1 (Since there's no G36 as a Sniper weapon nor a kit to mod one into a sniper esque SL-8) for SMGs: Stock: Compact-5 Cleaners carabine: either a compact 5 w/ silencer or an MPX with folded/no stock and a silencer. Melee: Machetes, of course.
Keep up the great work and I recommend something at Little thing on the bottom corners or something on the screen that tells you what sniper or weapon you're using

Challenge run suggestion (for after remaining tf2 mercs): Can only play as core 5 heisters. (Dallas, Chains, Wolf, Hoxton, Houston) If playing as Dallas you can only use the crew chief perk deck and skills from the mastermind tree, Chains = muscle & enforcer skills, etc... You can only use weapons matching to your skills. (Dallas = snipers, Chains = shotguns, wolf = SMGs/ARs/LMGs, houston = anything supressed, hoxton = pistols/melee) You can only use deployables matching to your skills. (Dallas = medic bags & faks, Chains = ammor bags, Wolf = sentrys, houston = body bags & ecms, hoxton = none?) You can freely switch between these 5 builds throughout the run as long as all 5 stick to the rules stated above Maybe remove the weapon & deployable rules as it might be too hard but definitely keep the perk deck & skill restrictions... and also the heister restrictions to kill morale. I feel as though this can be a proper challenge for you because so much of a heisters strength in Payday 2 comes from a good build, and a good build requires a good perk deck and skills from all trees, which you don't have.
Medic concept Play with a friend, who's not allowed to use med bags faks or inspiration. Added challenge, they're only allowed to use another tf2 challenge run weapons. Primary: air bow Secondary: there's no good option, but the medic is German, so maybe limiting yourself to German made weapons in your secondary slot Melee: syringe could work Perk deck: tag team
Hybrid Demoknight build: Sociopath combined with fugitive skill tree A sword and a grenade launcher (Feel free to use things like medical bags and any throwables of your choosing, considering not having a proper stealth weaoon would make stealth very hard)
As long as you are polite, efficient, and have a plan to kill everyone you meet, yes you can probably be Payday 2 and Sniper tf2. Sadly you can't throw Jarate at a bulldozer... Yet.

How about doing a Pyro Build? Using the Flamethrower MK.1 (or MA 17), either the Locomotive, the Claire (both using DB/Buckshot) or Compact 40mm (using Incendiary nades) (or both interchangeably), with the throwables being Incendiaries/Molotovs and the Fire Axe Melee. Build only restricts the Engineer, Sharpshooter, Shinobi, and Artful Dodgers skill trees (BTW, Tripmines are fair game if they have Fire Trap on them), and as for skill sets, no restrictions on that.
I know this is going to turn into a Payday 3 channel when it comes out, but I hope you finish this series before you transition fully. Just four more mercs to go!

Challenge run suggestion (for after remaining tf2 mercs):
Can only play as core 5 heisters. (Dallas, Chains, Wolf, Hoxton, Houston)
If playing as Dallas you can only use the crew chief perk deck and skills from the mastermind tree, Chains = muscle & enforcer skills, etc...
You can only use weapons matching to your skills. (Dallas = snipers, Chains = shotguns, wolf = SMGs/ARs/LMGs, houston = anything supressed, hoxton = pistols/melee)
You can only use deployables matching to your skills. (Dallas = medic bags & faks, Chains = ammor bags, Wolf = sentrys, houston = body bags & ecms, hoxton = none?)
You can freely switch between these 5 builds throughout the run as long as all 5 stick to the rules stated above
Maybe remove the weapon & deployable rules as it might be too hard but definitely keep the perk deck & skill restrictions... and also the heister restrictions to kill morale.
I feel as though this can be a proper challenge for you because so much of a heisters strength in Payday 2 comes from a good build, and a good build requires a good perk deck and skills from all trees, which you don't have.
I was just thinking about trying a sniper build after getting into Payday 2 a month ago, perfect timing!

Play with a friend, who's not allowed to use med bags faks or inspiration. Added challenge, they're only allowed to use another tf2 challenge run weapons.
Primary: air bow
Secondary: there's no good option, but the medic is German, so maybe limiting yourself to German made weapons in your secondary slot
Melee: syringe could work
Perk deck: tag team

I feel like Payday 2 getting its own sentry girls is inevitable. After all, Wolf is the Payday Gang's engineer technically.
How about doing a Pyro Build?
Using the Flamethrower MK.1 (or MA 17), either the Locomotive, the Claire (both using DB/Buckshot) or Compact 40mm (using Incendiary nades) (or both interchangeably), with the throwables being Incendiaries/Molotovs and the Fire Axe Melee. Build only restricts the Engineer, Sharpshooter, Shinobi, and Artful Dodgers skill trees (BTW, Tripmines are fair game if they have Fire Trap on them), and as for skill sets, no restrictions on that.
I know this is going to turn into a Payday 3 channel when it comes out, but I hope you finish this series before you transition fully. Just four more mercs to go!

6:49 this is what I hate about Payday 2 , why the FK don't the bullets go straight ?! killing snipers with pistols and ARs is a nightmare simply because hit register and spread is WILDLY WIDE and even when red dot is on them it won't hit em, at what point did they think it's a good idea to have Counter Strike spread in the game ?!
