Your locs are a whole vibe. Great tutorial and tips for those who want to grow locs. Keep up the great work! ‼️✨
Girrllllll! I love your hair. It felt so good to see the 2 yesr difference. Im headed to 15 months and I can see the thickness coming through but my hair hasn't yet grown past the shrinkage it went through when I started compared to the length it was loose natural. Seeing your hair is exciting! Keep the lock videos coming ❤
Thank you soo much 🥺. And yes girl, stay patient because once your locs drop. You WILL be feeling like “THAT GIRL” lol 😂😂😂
Yesss I’m 14 months in. I finally waited 7 weeks to retwist and omg the amount of new growth was insane! I make my own Loc products. 3 part rose water, aloe Vera, and purified water with my favorite essential oils daily and my hair is fully moisturized. I have low porosity hair so I have to stay away from thick oils. My go tos are light oils. For hot oil treatments I combine Argan oil, sweet almond oil and avocado oil with essential oils like Bergamot, lavender, peppermint oils ect lol I did a lot of research on oils for my type hair and I think everyone should! Research is key. My sis says my hair smells like a rose bush and that’s with all things natural. I love this journey even more cause I “know” exactly what my hair loves now. Also steam treatments is the truth! Ok I’m done now ❤️
Omg yessss I love thissss. Our hair is our crown and taking care of our crown is key 🔑. I hope your hair continues to grow and flourish throughout your journey ❤️❤️❤️
If you don't mind me asking, are you using the plant aloe Vera or a liquid and is there a particular place you get your essential oils?
@@teriamanning7341 liquid aloe. I purchase all my essential oils on Amazon.
@@jasminewillis7289 can you send me your how to regimen for moisture. I’m currently in the starter loc stage 2 months to be exact.
You are a LIFE SAVER. People swore up and down abt JBCO and i was trying to figure out WHY my hair still seems dry JUST TO FIND OUT.. i have low porosity hair.. light oils it IS
Yesss thank u for the info cause im getting mine done Friday can't wait ❤️
Enjoy your journey ❤️❤️
Your locs are GORGEOUS! And the bounce, whew 🤧. They look healthy and full. I'm 1 year loc'd and heading in for a retwist this weekend. I think one of my main issues is the inconsistency with retwists. I'll get one and won't go back for 3-4 months, then the next time I get retwisted, I go back after 1.5- 2 months. I like your every 2 month recommendation. My ultimate weakness is ponytails though. I work in a hospital and keep my hair pulled back nearly everyday. I need to find lower tension styles that can still keep my hair up and away to prevent thinning and receding hairline.
Awwww thank you ❤️❤️❤️ and yes definitely try to do the 2 month Retwist. Consistency is key 🔑. As for the pony tail, I feel you. Its just a matter of it not being TOO tight. But you got this!! Keep it going and enjoy your journey🤗
Just began loc journey. Thanks for these very helpful tips 🙂.You locs are beautiful

Your locs are so beautiful ❤I need to stop pulling my locs back so much and embrace how they look down
Thank you soooo much ❤️❤️. Yes I agree letting your hair loose sometimes is best especially when it comes to channeling your feminine side
thank you for this. when i first got my locs, i’ve been getting hairstyles ever since and they have been thinning at the top. i feel like they can be saved.
Ofcourse, its nice to do styles but we just have to be careful about the amount of tension these styles have on our stands. You could still do them just not as tight and not as. Continue on your journey Queen

Thanks sis! Ima need my back to get thick and chill on the hairstyles lol 😪
Yessss, your hair will definitely thank you for it lol
I started my locs bald headed and I’m 1 year and a half in now it grew a lot but these tips helped it become thicker .Interlocking wasn’t really good for my hair I heard a lot of people talking about that but I don’t advise it
Yupp, I live by these tips faithfully. I agree interlocking has a way of thinning locs. There’s nothing better than a good old palm roll with our locs!!
@@SoFineee yes true facts
I interlock because my scalp itches a lot so I need to wash more often... it was fine for me , too...."normal" palm rolling comes undone when I shower or when I itch my scalp (shouldn't itch... but I do) compared to interlocking.. but I combed them out last week to start again
Hopefully this second time around your locks can last a little longer. Didn’t you decide on how you were going to start them?
@@SoFineee yh, I'm gonna start with two strand twists, I was meant to get them done three days ago, but when I got there, the lady apologised and said that she forgot to tell me that they don't have enough bleach from when I had my strand test done - which was two days before that. She gave me her number and said to call her in a few days. I called her today and she said she's ordered the stuff and that she'll call me back when it arrives.
ur locs look sooo beautiful + healthy 😍.
Thank you soooo much ❤️

I already have one in my channel but I will definitely make an updated one soon 🤗🤗
I could tell you were from NY before you even said lol. Thanks for the tips! Did you always follow these steps from the very beginning or did you start mid way through the journey??
Thanks!
Lol yeah, I definitely speak like a New Yorker. I actually learned a lot of these tips before starting my loc journey. I was always a minimalist with my relaxed hair and didn’t like doing too much so when I locced my hair and didn’t have to do anything but moisturize I was in loveeeee. Thank you so much for the question!
Damn you and your hair looks good. I hope mines ends up like this
Thankyou queen ❤

@@Bherd8160 I just started my journey 2 days ago lol
I just started my locs, it's been 10 days. I usually like my hair nice and neat. How often do you wash? When you started, did you sprits your hair with water and oil to moisturize in between retwisting?
I wash and retwist every 2 months, and I would spray my hair with water and vitamin E oil and moisturize with castor oil once a week.
Great Tips!
Thank youuuu
@@SoFineee Waah gwaan weh yuh cum from... I like the way you rockin the locs

For those of you watching this video my prayer is that you ALL come to know JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH as your LORD AND SAVIOR. ROMANS 10:9 say that if we confess with our mouth and believe in our heart that GOD raised JESUS from the dead we will be saved.
I need your help I have long thin locs any suggestions to get thicker
Ok yes I’m doing every thing right ..I just stared mine 3 weeks now and I knew that I didn’t want gels and all that product in my hair I just want natural . Water natural oil and and silk scarf … I’m just leaving things alone this time around
Awwww congrats and welcome to loc gang lol and yes honestly I sound like a broken record but LESS is MORE. Trust me in the long run your hair will thank you!
Please how can I make my thin dreads thick
I def have a few thinning locs.. I have 2 that fell out so far & I'm so sad. I make 2 years in june
Have you tried reattaching them? Are you incorporating the steps I’ve mentioned into your routine. I def feel like you can recover and bring health back into your hair
Love it
Thank you ❤️
how many locs do you have? I’m just starting my loc journey and want to see examples of how my hair may turn out.
Thank you for watching!! I have about 80 locs and I Told the person who started them a medium size. However, no guarantees that your locs will turn out exactly like mine by doing this. It’s all based on your own hair.
how do i protect the endof my dreads i only got a durag my tips are thinning so i cut em off sometimes even by accident
The longer they get look into getting a sack for your hair. I will attach a link of one that I have
amzn.to/4a6b9XG
You have beautiful locs. How often do u spray with water and vitamin E oil
Thank you so much for watching! I spray my hair about once a week. My hair holds moisture pretty good so I don’t have to spray as often. But for those who may not hold moisture that good maybe 2-3 times a week would help.
How do you apply the 3 items to your hair mixed together or separately and how often
I mix my water and vitamin E oil in my spray bottle and spray my locs. I apply my castor oil in my scalp
Is simply gorgeous
Thank you sooooo much ❤️
I love your locs
Thank you soooooo much ❤️
I just started my locs one week now how often should I oil my scalp it seems to be dry n itching a lot
The dry and itching is normal, you are going to feel that the longer your hair is locced. That is apart of the process. You could oil it maybe 2 times a week if that helps
🥰😍🤩great Intel an insight
Your welcome!
love your loss are their inter locoing or just palm roll
Thank youuu 🫶🏽🫶🏽, they are palm rolled. I have never interlocked.
I thought I messed my locs up honestly cause they got really puffy after the first wash. It has gone down but they are still med thick and honestly I love it. My lines aren’t straight either at all but I love the not so perfect looking ones.
Yup, Love your hair whether it messy or neat. Our hair is a part of us so we gotta accept all that comes with it ❤️
I am very picky about lint, but from my observation my locs that gets lint in them always are the thicker ones. So I hope there isn’t lint where I cannot see it and is making them thick
I definitely feel you on that. I noticed for me it was the longer ones since they’re able to brush against things. But yeah always try to keep your hair up if you can and wrapped up if your just chilling at home. It would save you the stress.
How do you know if a retwist is too tight? I thought the retwist will eventually fluff back out
I know my retwist are too tight when I feel uncomfortable pain because of too much tension (your retwist should not hurt) and another way to know is if you see bumps on your scalp (causes inflammation in hair follicles).
Hi great and informative video. Your locs 🔥 question. I am in a year and 8 months in locs journey. I been going religiously every month to get my locs retwist. But I want my locs thick. I am planing to go every 2 months now. Do I still have a chance to redeem to get thick locs?
Heyyy, thank you so much for watching! As long as your hair is growing your locs have a chance to get thicker. Stretching your Retwists will definitely help and not putting too much tension in your hair. Good luck! I hope you enjoy every stage in your loc journey ❤️
@@SoFineee well said. appreciate it! Thank you ♥️🙂
Nice locs how often do you wash them?🔥
Thank you ❤️. I wash and retwist my hair every 8 weeks (2 months)
Thanks for the tips 🙏🏽 are you from the Caribbean ?
Your welcome, thank you for watching! And yes, I am Haitian
@@SoFineee oh that’s awesome ☺️ u got Caribbean girl that look 🤌🏽
I’m Guyanese (not that it matters) lol 🤷🏽♂️
All Caribbean people are one ❤️
How often should you spray with water?
I spray about twice a week. It all depends on how dry ur hair may feel. In the summer time I usually spray every morning before going out just because I know the sun could be drying to my hair as well.
I think ur hair is naturally thick theres Person that do
And don’t and still
Have thin or think loc
Yo dreads look great
And u fine of course
Thank for watching!!!!
Hey!!! How did you start your locks was it 2 strand twists, coils, or braids?
Thank you for watching 😊. I started my hair in coils. I didn’t want the pattern from braids or 2 strand twist to stay in my hair.
@@SoFineee I started with 2 strands n the pattern is gone
Oooh niceeee
Did you combine your locs early on to get them thick like that?
Hey thanks for watching, and no I didn’t combine any of my locs. I’ve had the same amount since I started.
Your crown looks Amazing Queen 🔥💣I heard U mentioned Haitian Castor oil, where U get yours from Queen?
Thank you sooo much for watching! Girl I get mine straight from Haiti 😭😭. My brother send me some from the mother land lol

Where did you get your hair scarf from?
Oh this is just a simple black silk scarf from my local beauty supply store. Anything silk or satin material will be good for your hair.
Omg I do all first 3 u mention 😅
Lol this is your chance to make those corrections sis!
I’m 4 months into my journey. My locs be looking mad crazy atm lol

Yo do you have a cat if your watching this video with headphones nd you smoke ⛽️
You gone be like I think 🤔 I heard a cat close by 😂😂😂😂😂
Lmaoooo I do have a cat 😭😭😭
Please after retwisting my hair for how long can I wash my hair
It depends on how long you want to. I personally wait 2 months to wash and retwist to wash my hair. If you want to wash your hair every 2/3 weeks you may do so. However, I don’t recommend retwisting that often. Maybe try to retwist 6-8 weeks at a time
I got 33! Any advice to keep them thick please let me know. Not sure if I should twist monthly until they lock or what but I’m excited fr. First set I had was 9 years about 80 after I combined
Ooooh 33 niceeee, I would suggest retwisting every 2 months (8 weeks) if that’s too long for you try 6 weeks. Give your hair some time to grow and matte as they take form. Retwisting too often can thin your roots out.
@@SoFineee thank you so much. Should I still wash and just wear a cap so they don’t unravel in between? Just started Sunday lol
@@lmao9179yes, that will def help to minimize the unraveling.
Your locs look beautiful. What do you use to twist your hair with? I just started my journey 3 weeks ago. Thank you.
I only use water and castor oil. I have a video showing how I retwist my hair. Check out my Hair Journey videos!!
@Chloe Great I use castor oil
And don’t let know one tell you different
How long did it take for your locs to thicken up from the starter locs phase?
If you check my 2 years loc journey you could see that I started with them pretty big. So I think it all depends on the size you start. I asked for medium sized locs when I got my comb coils.
Where did you get your scarf from?
It’s a regular silk/satin scarf from my local beauty supply store
Do you oil your scalp with light oils?
I actually use a very heavy and thick oil lol. I use Haitian castor oil.
These are great tips. However, there’s also the fact that some people already have higher density hair than others to begin with.
Yes this definitely true
Did those2for a long time
Can you do a Retwist video please?
I actually have a video showing how I retwist. On my channel look under My Hair Journey. It’s called “My Updated Retwist Routine”
Okay, thank you so much
So what styles should I do to avoid this?
You could style your hair. I just don’t want you to style your hair too tight, or too often. Let your hair breathe and be sometimes.
Gorgoes hair great information
Thank you so much for watching!
Thanks for the infor .. u really have nice locks ... i live in Australia and its really hot , any tips?
Thank you for watching ❤️
2 of my quick tips is the keep your hair up and off your neck and of course to drink a lot of water. I have a lot more in a video on my channel titled “Loc Tips for the Summer Time” I go more into detail there.
@@SoFineee Thanks again....
Hi I have fuzzy hair, I only started my lock journey early march of 2022, the truth is I want my locks to be tick, but I think my fuzziness is becoz my father's generation is from Indian, do u have any advice for me?
Thank you for watching ❤️ Fuzziness will always happen so that’s normal. For the thickness I would recommend not retwisting so often. Wait maybe like 2 months or so to retwist. Everybody’s hair sheds, however when you have locs the hair that sheds doesn’t fall out of your hair, it goes into the locs. This could also help with thickness. So not manipulating your hair too much and don’t retwist too often. It may seem like you’re going freeform lol but it definitely helps with thickness.
@@SoFineee im almost 2 months on my locs ian retwist im going freeform i might wait a while to retwist
How many locs do u have in your head ?
I have 80 locs
How many locs are you having?
I have 80 locs
How long is your hair ? So prettttty
Thank you soo much for watching! My hair is currently a little past shoulder length
I like how thick yours are, I’m trying to get mines as thick and healthy as yours
I think anyone’s hair can get some type of thickness, with our locced hair. The key is just leaving your hair alone and letting it do it’s thing. Keep on going on your journey.
You think I should combine them?
@@visionaryeyes1759 idk how your locs look 🤔. Do you know how many locs you have in total? If you think combining them will make your locs bigger in size and will help your hair to be think, I say do it 🤷🏾♀️
How many locs do you currently have ?

How many locs do you have?
