I am 2 months in, and my ends look so skinny. But whenever I get discouraged or the desire to take them down and start over, I always think of your journey and how you started vs where you are now. Thank you for the video.
I started my locs watching ur videos and I have fine hair too so u helped me jump in and do it. And my hair has gotten so thick!!! Happy I started wish I started sooner. Ur hair is 😍😍😍
When I started my locs they came out kinda thin I've also had to combine a few too, but over time by me using blue magic hair grease, jamaican black castor oil and misting with water my locs have gotten thicker I also don't retwist for at least 2-3 months.
I remember watching your videos from when you first started. I also have thinner fine hair so I was looking for people with a lower density like mine when I was starting to loc. It’s great to see how far you have come. Beautiful! ☺️
I literally just got mine done today. Im letting them dry as I type this, lol. Girl, you just gave me so much hope. Even when my hair was loose and I tied it down, it would give me a more sleek, flat look. I learned before I did this not to tie my hair down when I used to put my two strand twist. I'd just put them in a bonnet and let them be. That's how I got the fluffyniss i loved
Thank u. ❤️ I frankly noticed that my locs looked fluffier and fuller after shampoo and that my "sideburns" got thicker and fluffier faster. I will switch to a dating bonnet and lightly wet my hair on the daily. Let's see!
Hi there. Just a little education on interlocking… The loc does swell, shrink, & bunch. Interlocking does not stop your locs from swelling. I’ve been interlocking from day one and I am 9 months in. My hair started out long and the swelling was so crazy I had to put rubber bands on my locs for 2weeks in order to retie. My locs also ended up shrinking into multiple layers.
Hi, I've been looking for a comment like this for the longest while. I've interloc my daughter hair as I didn't want to do the coil or two strand twist method. The interlock look so thin when finish. Do you think it will get thicker as it grow or should I take it all out and do the two strand twice. I only started 1 week now. Any advice.
Great tips. Started my second set of locs yesterday. Didn't even give thought to the interlocking keeping it tight. Also, I firmly believe more washing is beneficial to letting them fatten.
For sure with the bonnet /scarf thing … I’m going to wear a bonnet for now on and only retwist the roots . I think with my first set I only retwisted the roots too and they were perfect .
@@unearthd95 I’m sorry I know this is old but nothing really . I didn’t really appreciate my locs back then . I just wanted a new look so I cut them but looking back I wish I neverrrrrrrr did that cause they were perfect 😭😭😭😭😭😢😭😭
I went from semifreeform to twisted salon locs and some of mine were initially thin after the retwist but they started thickening up i just hope my first retwist didnt ruin my locking progress cuz most of my head was locked
I'm on my 3 month journey and my locs are definitely thin I was sleeping with a tight cap on as well so I need to be sleeping with a bonnet on instead of the tight cap
Imo interlocking should only be done on super thick dense hair if your hair is a finer hair you might notice interlocking causing breakage (super fuzzy roots after interlocking is a sign of this, hairs breaking so the roots have loose hairs)
I am 4 months in and I have already made a few mistakes especially with leaving my locs in a style for up to 3 weeks, so my back locs are still so very thin, but my middle locs where my hair is less thin is a little thicker. I will need to stop the head wrap and go for a bonnet instead too.
@@PeacewithSha Also love following your journey. I haven’t started my locs yet. I’m still waiting for my hairline to grow first after a hair transplant.
I’ve been getting my locs palm rolled for the last 16 months since I started my journey some of them are skinny so is it too late to stop palm rolling to reverse the thinness?

This brings so much hope. I have fine hair and hoping my locs thicken up over time 😩. Thanks for sharing 💜
Trust me!! They will thicken up!!
Have yours thickened? Mine are thin as well. Im hoping for a thicker outcome.
How has it gone?? @peacewithsha?

I have thin hair also. My locs have gotten about the size of hers. As far as thickness.

this vedio gave me a hope i started my loc recently relaxed damaged hair hoping it will grow fuller and thicker hope so
it will for sure! your locs will bloom in time!
My same concern....my hair is relaxed and damaged too
I started with thin locs, some get a little thicker some didn’t I think it was do to how it was parted. I chopped them off to start over.
Mine is similar! I got coils though yesterday. I can’t wait for the future omg!!! In the mean time I’m gonna do what i do and wear wigs and hats lol
How is it going now
i’m glad i stumbled upon your video because my starter locs are very thin so i’m starting to become paranoid 😭😭

Castor oil will thicken your locks and your only suppose to twist your roots not the whole lock … nice video 😊
I just got instant locs and there so fine and the ends are curled up so there not showing my full length will it straighten out and get thicker

Do you think hair will thicken up if its relaxed ?
What if some locs don’t stand up when I hold them up? Are they damaged?
