      This!!! Before I loc’ed my hair I couldn’t grow my hair. I was always touching my hair…. Loc’ed up my hair a few months ago but decided to go smaller so took the locs out to reinstall n my hair is thicker and has doubled in length! Can’t wait to put them back in.

      Do you mean like touching your hair all the time?

    • @darlenebracy7065
      @darlenebracy7065 3 роки тому +14

      Yes. Touching your hair too much can cause issues down the line. Example: playing in your hair while sitting around. This may cause the hair to weaken and/or fall out over time. Minimize touching your hair can help the health of your hair. Not saying don’t touch it at all, but to leave your hair alone enough so it won’t break or dry up or worse losing hair. Everyone is different.

      This is one of my biggest issues and another reason I’m loc’ing my hair. Anxiety constantly has my hands in my hair, pulling at it, creating knots, pulling/ripping out knots, etc.

My locs aren’t very long yet but the volume of it is lovely, thick and shiny so I guess I can say it’s growing more in volume at this baby stage more than in length! I literally haven’t done ANYTHING special to my hair nor do I eat healthy at all I’m not gonna lie. I even let my hair sit in unkept corn rows almost 6 months at a time under wigs 😭 depression anxiety and stress has kept me very low since my mom passed away almost 3 years ago & honest to god my hair has grown like it’s on crack or something 😭 my hair went from right above my shoulders to almost at my waist line now in less than 3 years. Aye idk what the heck happened. I don’t take any vitamins or medicine so idk but THANK YOU GOD! & thank you to my mom and dad genetics. Also I did stop using perms over 3+ years ago.

      You should be fine with monthly steams then boosting to biweekly or weekly (if needed) as your hair matures. See how your locs respond then adjust✨🧚🏽‍♀️
