The Odisea 48 from Odisea Catamarans has just started to get built in Vietnam. The design is complete, the paperwork has been done and now the factory has had 4 days to start the job and they are welding like madmen. Finally the wait is over, the Elcano World Challenge will begin in 2024 people.

This build is another paragraph in your resume'. Being at the build site, knowing the engineers, seeing the fabrication crew as they work, and knowing and understanding the plans - they may offer you a job (which you will decline as you are a sailor)! Ruby Rose published weekly videos of their boat build, but nothing as detailed as you are showing. Gee, I love the crackling of welding in the morning! Working for a metal fab company and able to get out of the office area and walk the shop floor to see how our products were made was a great benefit when I was out across the country with our sales reps to provide product details to those that we sold our product. Can't wait to see more. Not sure if you will be celebration New Year's - Nam has TET, but be careful out there. :¬) Webhead USA
Having lived and worked in Indonesia it still amazes me that the Asian culture prefer to work on the floor instead of a work bench, but then why not if you have a clean flat floor. Looking great Plukky.

I'm very impressed about vietnamese quality standards after watching your videos. I live in northern Europe and we have a rumor of a renomated quality standard, wich I still believe. But after seeing how your boat is build I start to question that a bit. We have a lot to learn from these guys. Maybe not down on the floor, but on the administration level. The workers are served with beautiful drawings and instructions of how they should do their job. Every workers dream.
I don't know where you live, but having worked myself with french aluminium shipyards for 35 years I can say that these guys don't impress me.
