There is a straightforward way to respond to the caller’s assertion. The caller is essentially arguing that a dream is a manifestation of a single consciousness, which is your consciousness. In the dream, there appear to be many conscious beings walking about, but these dream characters are not truly conscious; they are simply figments of your imagination. You only recognize this truth upon waking from the dream. By analogy, the caller suggests that our reality might be functioning similarly: we and everyone in it could just be the dream characters of a higher consciousness. However, this reasoning is flawed. If our reality were merely a dream of a higher consciousness, then only the higher consciousness could realize this fact upon awakening. The characters in a dream, being non-conscious figments of imagination, cannot have any awareness of a higher reality. Thus, if someone claims to have realized that our reality is just a dream, they are essentially asserting that they are the higher consciousness doing the dreaming, which is impossible to realize while within the dream. Or more absurdly, they might be claiming to have understood their own fictional nature as a dream character. To reiterate, if this reality is just a dream, only the higher consciousness doing the dreaming can comprehend this fact upon waking up. Us NPCs (Non-Player Characters) can stop worrying about our fictional existence.
There is only one consciousness. No higher or lower. The 'you' in dream and upon waking up is the same you. It's the ego that is dreaming and, destruction of the ego is self realisation. To whom does the illusion happen? Is it to the consciousness or to the ego. It's to the ego. So ego has to realise the truth. Although ultimately consciousness and ego are same like the rope is mistaken for a snake. And lastly, no one is forcing the ego to wake up. It just might be that one day the suffering is to much for the ego and it might try to make an effort to wake up.
@@mohitdhiman79 I don't understand this distinction that you're making between consciousness and ego. It seems you're breaking down your subjectivity into parts and treating them as separate independent entities where one part is dreaming, while the other parts are not. That is not how dreams work. When we dream, all of our subjectivity is experiencing the dream. Not just parts of it. Also, let's say the part of "You" that you're calling "ego" is doing the dreaming, as you say. So if you were to "destroy" your ego, the dream/illusion "You" are experiencing will also disappear with the ego. And if the illusion disappears, you are bound to wake up. You cannot continue to dream on while the thing you say was doing the dreaming has been destroyed. You cannot be in the dream and be aware that it is a dream. You cannot continue to delude yourself while being aware it's a delusion. I hope I've made myself clear.
@stevesmith4901 I am not breaking my subjectivity. Would you say that rope and snake are two parts of the same thing. No. They are ultimately the same. Snake is the wrong perception of our seeing, and ego is the wrong perception of our being. And I am saying exactly the same thing as you said in the 2nd para. Once the illusion of the sanke is destroyed, there is only rope. simmilary, Once the ego(dreamer) is destroyed, there is no dream, and only the pure awareness remains.
Yes, there is only one consciousness, but we are different at the level of mind and body. So two different mind-body complexes are interacting with each other. Secondly this apparent reality is a dream of Samashti(God/collective) not the dream of vyashti (individual).
Both the inferences you draw from observing the external world and the stories you create inside your head help to shape your actions... So, fictional stories are kind of important too.. but they can not be taking precednce over observed reality.. that's it.. you can create stories that depict life lessons and supernatural elements in your head...

Hi Vimoh. I'm an atheist. But when I actually read Upanishads by my own eyes ignoring these brainwashed fanatics, I realized it's a pretty good answer to a fundamental question "what am I". But as far as youtube goes it's always " everybody is single consciousness " "nothing else exists" kinda BS. I simply translate Brahman as the 2000 year old understanding of consciousness. I have a simple question. Am I hallucinating? Is this, everybody is magically connected kind of spooky business the real vedant and my understanding is just caused by me being not brainwashed by these fanatics?
Why does this guy Vimoh only bring confused confused people on the subject of philosophy such as Vedanta which is very sensitive agar koi bhi aira gaira aise hi advait vedant pr bolne lage to sab gyani nhi ho jayenge ye log har chiz ko complicate krke kharab kar rhe hain aur vimoh jaise log apne aap ko sahi sabit karne lagte hain
What Advaita vedanta means by illusion is that we don't actually experience true objective reality what we experience is the social constructs that we form of that reality. Example. What is a chair, if a sit on the ground, is planet earth a chair? If I sit on a table? Is the table a chair? Chair is only chair when we say it is. Now there is objective matter over there. But our reality that is based on that matter is a subjective illusion.
People break down into two groups. When they experience something lucky, group number one sees it as more than luck, more than coincidence. They see it as a sign, evidence, that there is someone up there, watching out for them. Group number two sees it as just pure luck. Just a happy turn of chance. I'm sure the people in group number two are looking at those fourteen lights in a very suspicious way. For them, the situation is a fifty-fifty. Could be bad, could be good. But deep down, they feel that whatever happens, they're on their own. And that fills them with fear. Yeah, there are those people. But there's a whole lot of people in group number one. When they see those fourteen lights, they're looking at a miracle. And deep down, they feel that whatever's going to happen, there will be someone there to help them. And that fills them with hope. See what you have to ask yourself is what kind of person are you? Are you the kind that sees signs, that sees miracles? Or do you believe that people just get lucky? Or, look at the question this way: Is it possible that there are no coincidences? From Signs (2002)
that which remains constant throughout the ever-changing material of universe , the constant field of awareness on which all material changes occur is called brahman . Its not egocentric , in fact advaita is all about giving up on the thought that you are the body mind. Understand, sleep is not the absence of experience but the experience of absence you are not the body, not the mind you are the pure awareness to which all of this is appearing the appearance is an illusion which is neither real nor unreal because it has an ever-changing nature( exists in conventional sense but not in ultimate sense hence the term "mithya")
Agar ye world dream hai, to jo ye aadmi bat kar rha hai, wo bhi unreal hai, or jo bat karne k karan sound aa rhi hai wah bhi unreal hai, to is unreal aadmi or unreal sound se jo knowledge produce ho rha h wah bhi apne aap unreal ho gya, to aese unreal logo ki bato or unreal sound ko real hi kyu manna, kya brahman bhi kisi supreme consciousness k dream ka part nhi ho skta or wah supreme consciousness kisi or super supreme consciousness k dream k part nhi ho skte kya?
If we are consciousness and eternal, we are fucked for ever. Let ourselves be nothing but an emergent phenomenon that is perishable over time. In this way, we can be free from all suffering and pain after death.
@@rishabhthakur8773 Not necessarily. My statement imply that if consciousness cease to exist, suffering and pain finds no meaning and cannot affect us.
@@ADAM-yr1fk haha bro you haven't understood advaita. If you really belived you are consciousness and nothing else you would never ever suffer. Suffering is for the ego not for the pure consciousness.
@@mohitdhiman79 I am consciousness, whose another formal name is "Mind". In the absence of mind, imagining consciousness is meaningless. If suffering is for the ego, then why do I suffer? If you suggest I am identifying with the Ego, then you have to admit that consciousness can identify with ego. In that case, activity in Consciousness is accepted, that goes against the basic tenets of Shankara's Advaita.
@ADAM-yr1fk mind is ego, not consciousness. Who says imagining consciousness is meaningless? Does consciousness say this or does ego says this. Ponder. Activity does not happen in consciousness, it only happens in ego. Who says there is activity, only ego which itself is illusion.

Maya is illusion but it doesn’t mean world doesn’t exist objects don’t exist it just means object may not exist the way your sense organs is perceiving them surely there are objects we all see the same objects but our sensory perception gives a meaning to those objects so that it’s useful for our survival in different ways you have thoughts about objects in your mind you don’t only see objects as they are and you probably could never and depending on what kind of conditioning your mind has you will perceive the world that way that’s what maya is. One more thing as you so easily said that you have seen other people die so you have concluded that consciousness is gone after person is dead but have you yourself experienced that? No so how are you scientific?

Again. You both are taking on cross purpose. Here the simple counter is that whatever this person is saying is based on inferred understanding not direct evidence. As per both Charvaka and modern science, inferred understanding can not be fully relied upon and at best it is hypothesis. So here the difference on stance is on epistemology of science vs philosophy.

Finally someone who actually understand non duality
Both the inferences you draw from observing the external world and the stories you create inside your head help to shape your actions...
So, fictional stories are kind of important too.. but they can not be taking precednce over observed reality.. that's it.. you can create stories that depict life lessons and supernatural elements in your head...

let me clarify sir
He has never experienced anything like falseness of world
His emotions are so much bound to Ramana Maharshi that all things spoken by him makes sense
A guru teacher cannot to explain the truth you've to find it
He can only show tha falsness of the self (ego)
Like you've your brain, your brain projects everything external with the image which it created previously on seeing that object!!
Now Everyone has their own image and experiences now this makes world relative !!!
Means you experience different world other person has a different world when you're communicating you talk from your perspective and image projected by your brain !!
You've limited range of hearing , seeing , tasting etc....
That makes that world is real
But YOUR World is false for sure
It's created by you and depends on you and your emotions
And as we all are humans we all have our own world our own imagination of World
And world could be something totally different from our imagination!!
The point that krihnamurti arises you start moving closer to truth when you start viewing things without letting brain to create a predefined image of it !!
Let you brain forget everything's predefined image
Let everyone moment be new for you !!
Then you'll come to know what the wakening up is all about
And the part where you say in dreams laws of physics don't work
And in real life it works
The point is this is also the part of the fakeness where you have a subtle perception of World more strong becoz of the laws of physics
The underlying reality will not be bound to such things it it's reality!!
Never be sure of the reality until you start realising it !! No worries how much a great personality says this to you
See it your self !!!
Probably aate hai but yaad nahi rehte
Currently ... He is talking in dream 😂
People take that dream example literally and then spoil the meaning of Adwait.

Dont worry guys.. we are a bunch of atoms which joined together so that we can talk to other group of atoms. And also understand other atoms around.
I think people should take the fragments of everything to conclude their own reality. I said "I think"🤷
Why does this guy Vimoh only bring confused confused people on the subject of philosophy such as Vedanta which is very sensitive agar koi bhi aira gaira aise hi advait vedant pr bolne lage to sab gyani nhi ho jayenge ye log har chiz ko complicate krke kharab kar rhe hain aur vimoh jaise log apne aap ko sahi sabit karne lagte hain
I don't invite anyone. It's an open discourse. If you want, you can come next Saturday and we can talk.

maine ye video 2 baar dekh liya hai fir bhi mujhe samajh nahi aa rah ahki ye mohit banda bolna kya chahta tha
I am not opposing Vimoh but I am also not "exactly Vimoh".

that which remains constant throughout the ever-changing material of universe , the constant field of awareness on which all material changes occur is called brahman . Its not egocentric , in fact advaita is all about giving up on the thought that you are the body mind. Understand, sleep is not the absence of experience but the experience of absence
you are not the body, not the mind you are the pure awareness to which all of this is appearing
the appearance is an illusion which is neither real nor unreal because it has an ever-changing nature( exists in conventional sense but not in ultimate sense hence the term "mithya")
Fair explanation, this guy vimoh only uploads conversations of confused people
Agar ye world dream hai, to jo ye aadmi bat kar rha hai, wo bhi unreal hai, or jo bat karne k karan sound aa rhi hai wah bhi unreal hai, to is unreal aadmi or unreal sound se jo knowledge produce ho rha h wah bhi apne aap unreal ho gya, to aese unreal logo ki bato or unreal sound ko real hi kyu manna, kya brahman bhi kisi supreme consciousness k dream ka part nhi ho skta or wah supreme consciousness kisi or super supreme consciousness k dream k part nhi ho skte kya?

Wasted my youth on this stupid adwaitya theory...its all bs.
If we are consciousness and eternal, we are fucked for ever. Let ourselves be nothing but an emergent phenomenon that is perishable over time. In this way, we can be free from all suffering and pain after death.
To be free , you have to exist . 😂

Those who claimed the experience can't prove it and those who denying can't experience it.😂
But I think it's a only religious topic which is debatable 😶 logically 😅
There is nothing religious not one Devi devta aur god is mentioned in it it’s pure self enquiry

The guy is asking questions to wrong person. UA-camrs, Babas and podcasters are not philosophers. So better find a person who has good hold on philosophy like a professor or a real philosopher, if you want clarity on these topics.
Everything is a dream, now go to sleep.

Agar ab bhi nahi jage to nind khulne ka intezaar karo tab tak is sapne me maja lo fir reality me maja karna.😂
