The knock sensor harness is on the drivers side of the engine right under the intake. There should be a connector right there and the harness passes through a rubber grommet down under the intake manifold (that is where the sensor is located). I cut my harness right at that grommet so I could utilize the factory connection. The harness should have a solid wire surrounded by a braided wire. Attach the solid wire to the sensor and the braided portion to a ground near the sensor.

so quick question first off good day to you your videos seem pretty understandable so my question on 93 gmc pickup 5.7 knock sensor code still apears after changing part and pig tail so question is where does wire actually tie to from where to the knock sensor

Hey man, I hope you read this. I saw your video for the 4Runner. I have a 92 Toyota pickup with the 3.0. I am so confused on pretty much all of it. So I need to buy the 97 s10 knock sensor, do I need to buy a different harness? What I understood was you take the hook off tap it, then thread the new s10 knock sensor into place. Then hook what to what? I can't even locate the knock sensor I'm not very mechanically inclined but I cannot afford to pay someone. Thanks.
