Mel was never considered an action star, but his 70s through 90s movies, even his comedies, he usually got pretty out there with action!

Mel Gibson at his best period. I recommend you besides his movies as an actor, to see also his movies as a director, because he is a great director, titles like: Braveheart, Apocalypto, The Passion of The Christ, Hacksaw Ridge, have consecrated him as a great director.
Hi Emma! This is such a great movie with a great reaction. The redhead that was blown up on the diving board was my neighbor from a long time ago. Jenette Goldstein was also in Aliens, Terminator 2 and played the Irish mother with two small children in Titanic. She gets around. Can’t wait for the next installment, Lethal Weapon 3.

I Luv this particular movie because it gives Riggs closure for his wife's death, Then Roger gets embarrassed about his daughter's commercial and the introduction of Joe pesci's character is genius! Cant wait for the next LW3 movie! Thanks Emma you Wonderful and Amazing girl!❤️💛

The saga from the sequel changes the serious and adult tone that had the first, and becomes more action comedy and really are very entertaining and fun, all 4 movies in the saga.

Joe Pesci as Leo Ghetz, was so funny in these movies. When you look at the character he played in “Goodfellas” such a stark contrast. 😊

Patsy Kensit was quite the popular actress in the '80s through the 2000s, and this film opened a lot of doors for her.
Patsy was also singer in the band called Eight Wonder with several hits in Europe in the 80s.

Great sequel (as all *4* are) this was superb well written well paced had great progression character development and the perfect balance between action and comedy great on screen chemistry and one of the best if not the best buddy cop franchise ever

Most tunas are dolphin safe nowadays.😉 Apartheid was still going on in South Africa in 1989. The nations white minority dominated over the black majority until Apartheid ended in the early 90s. I think the bomb was on a pressure switch, and it was armed when Roger sat down on the toilet. That was a "Nail Gun" that Roger killed them with. It is used instead of hammering nails over and over. That South African guy killed Rigg's wife years ago in that car accident he described. They were trying to kill Rigg's, but she was driving his car instead. Riggs drops a metal crate on him. GREAT reactions to your 2nd Lethal Weapon film, Emma!!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 You will enjoy the next film, which is really well made!😊

I hope at some point you can react to Mel Gibsons "dark' late-90s films *Ransom* (1996), *Conspiracy Theory* (1997) and *Payback* (1999).
For the lighter side of Mel, I recommend *Maverick* (1994) a Western-comedy based on the 1960s US tv series.
For a slightly younger Mel I recommend the epic historical drama *The Bounty* (1984)- a remake of Mutiny On The Bounty which is based on true events from 1789. Also stars Anthony Hopkins, Liam Neeson, Daniel Day Lewis and Lawrence Olivier. What a lineup of heavy hitters!

The best of the entire Franchise. If you want to see Danny Glover and Joe Pesci in another hilarious film other than Lethal Weapon, I recommend "Gone Fishin" a great 1997 comedy. A very funny film. Also stars Carol Kane, Rosanna Arquette, Lynn Whitfield, Nick Brimble and Country Singer Willie Nelson. J.J Abrams co-wrote the Screenplay for the film. A very funny comedy with a lightly suspenseful plot. Finally, If you want to see Joss Ackland, who played Arjen Rudd, the antagonist in this film in another great film, I recommend "Nowhere To Run" a great 1993 action film starring Jean Claude Van Damme. A great action and suspenseful story. The film had a great cast Rosanna Arquette, Joss Ackland, Kieran Culkin and Ted Levine. A great film! Great Review Emma!

Love the complicated back drop the Lethal Weapon movies wrap themselves in . Sure they could make simple action comedy , with lots of explosions and gun play , but to wrap it in the geo political story of Apartheid is genius . I'm sure that there is a large portion of the world had their first introduction to the circumstances that Apartheid presented watching this movie . That is incredible ❗

Mel Gibson is a fantastic actor and director. He can have you lmao one minute and crying the next.
From here one, while the crime story portion of the films are still very good, there are more characters added and become part of the main cast...not just Riggs and Murtaugh. Also, based on the popularity of Joe Pesci's character with audiences in this film, there is a lot more humor added to the overall films. By the 4th one, it gets a little silly. They are still enjoyable films and they retain their watchability throughout re-watches....but they're very different than the first two.
