Juggernaut's not a mutant. He's a magic muscle wizard, empowered by a magic demon gem that belongs to the demon god of strength. He's ALSO Charles Xavier's step-brother.
If you look into the theme song for this opne, you'll learn that Selene Dion was in the middle of a depression and thinking about quiting her carreer, when Ryan Reynolds wrote her aletter asking her to do the theme song, stating that her music was more important to the world than she realized. She did it and resdiscovered her love for music. It's even in her recent documentary.
Ryan Reynolds is the only one that could do these movies. His comedic timing, sarcastic, off point comments put the perfect exclamation point on the character and the 4th wall breaks are sheer perfection. Also, "Deadpool" is the movie Ryan Reynolds was able to make, with budget he was given. "Deadpool 2" is the Deadpool movie he always wanted to make and "Deadpool & Wolverine" is the movie he wanted/was able to make with MCU money.
How could he be the only one when RDJ literally plays Tony Stark the exact same way... Funny, sarcastic, great timing people exist everywhere. The internet only likes to focus on celebrities that do it. Were you all watching Ryan Reynolds before DP...? What made him a household name...? Everyone needs their break to get known. The same career trajectory happened with Chris Pratt... With Channing Tatum... It's not rare. You just don't appreciate everyone else
Cable is Scott Summers' (Cyclops) Son, Nathan Summers, who got sent to the future as a baby. Never got explained in this movie, because the Fox Deal hadn't gone through yet.
I like it when Cassie is trying to explain to Carly the alternate universes and Carly looks like she's thinking to herself, "You never go full geek, you went full geek!"
Cable is an amazing character who had a recurring role in X-Men: The Animated Series (1992-1997), making his debut in Season 1, Episode 7, "Slave Island." At this point, there were no hints of him being from the future, the story portrayed as a mercenary who helped Gambit escape and later went on to rescue other mutants like Jubilee and Storm. Interestingly, this was before he was depicted with his iconic metal arm, Cable was only introduced two years prior as well in the comics. Cable would return in the two-part Time Fugitives episode from Season 2. Here, we get a glimpse of the year 3999 A.D., a post-apocalyptic future where Cable is a Kyle Reese-like rebel, fighting against Terminator-inspired robots controlled by Apocalypse. This would be the debate of his metal arm in the show. His final appearance was in the four-episode story arc in Season 4, Beyond Good & Evil, a massive storyline once again involving Apocalypse. I don't want to reveal his backstory or family history to avoid spoilers, especially for anyone who hasn't seen X-Men '97 or future Marvel projects that may explore Cable’s origins. While comic fans might already know these details, I believe that it's always best to keep things spoiler-free for newer audiences. Cables got such a rich history that it would be a shame to spoil it under a comment.
And more importantly Cable is the shining creation of the creator of Deadpool himself; Mr. Rob Liefeld. Also the creator of Domino of course, the queen in all of comic books for the coolest looking albino.
There's actually three versions of Deadpool 2 1. The threatrical cut. 2. The unrated Super Duper cut, which has alternate jokes and versions of some scenes, and some extended scenes. 3. Once Upon a Deadpool, a special PG-13 cut released as a Christmas movie. It proves that Deadpool CAN work in PG-13. The framing story has to be seen to be believed. There's actually a music video for the main title song. So, this is a different version of Yukio from what we had in The Wolverine. Ironically, unlike the movies, in the comics Wade WANTS to be an X-Man. The problem is he's not only not a mutant, but (almost) none of the X-Men can stand him. He's (usually) an ally, however, and has worked with them (especially Logan and X-Force) on a number of occasions. Essex House is another reference to major X-Men villain Mr. Sinister, which the Fox movies were starting to build up to by the time the Disney merger ended their franchise. Black Tom Cassidy is the cousin of the X-Man Banshee, the guy who can fly while screaming. He was originally supposed to be a second antagonist because of his association with the monster in the basemen, but his part had to be cut down for budget reasons. They kind of changed up Vanisher's powers. In the books he's a teleporter. Whose name is Telford Porter. Yeah, it's kind of on the nose. Shatterstar is the son of the X-Man and pop star Dazzler, and an alien named Longshot. He was also another one of the early X-Men characters to be outed as gay, most famously having been married to Rictor (who you saw in Logan as the leader of the Eden kids). Mojo, the ruler of Mojoworld (Longshot's homeworld) is a major recurring X-Men villain, who's basically a meta commentary on all things to do with the entertainment industry. Domino is one of the longest-standing members of X-Force, having been part of the original iteration of the team in 1991...except it's later revealed NOT to have been Dom herself, but the shapeshifting mutant known as Copycat aka VANESSA (yes, Wade's Vanessa) in disguise. The casting of Zazie Beetz and her ultimate character design led to some minor backlash from a cerrtain part of the community because in the books, she's distinguished by chalk-white skin, with a black spot over her left eye. For the movie, they represented her spot with vitiligo, inverting the color scheme. The one thing I'll say about it is that her spot doesn't stand out very well. Peter is a veiled reference to X-Men character Pete Wisdom. Wisdom is a mutant with the power to absorb ambient heat and solar radiation, which he can then project from his fingertips. He's also a spy with British Intelligence. He's also notably as being one of several Peters that Kitty Pryde has dated (the others being Colossus, who is her most iconic relationship, and Peter Quill when she was briefly on the Guardians of the Galaxy). He's not a mutant in the movies, which makes for a better joke. Cable is actually THE founder of X-Force in the books. He's also one of the only people who genuinely likes Wade, and considers him his friend. Juggernaut previous appeared in X-Men 3. As a very cheesy watered down version played by Vinnie Jones. The Deadpool 2 version is considerably more comic accurate, though they still made him a mutant, rather than being powered by a chaos god as in the books. Of course, the silver lining on the dark cloud that was “Green Lantern” is that Ryan Reynolds met his wife making that movie. So he can’t exactly say it was completely bad for him. Just for the fans and the critics.
There were 2 X-Men related live action series that are both currently available to watch on HULU. 'The Gifted' centers around a family whose lives are turned upside down when the twin teenagers are discovered to be mutants. The show lasted for 2 seasons. 'Legion' is a more mature & trippy series centered around David Haller who has dealt with mental illness all his life, and it's discovered that things with David aren't exactly as it seems. The show lasted 3 seasons.

@@paulpolpiboon9535my understanding is that Longshot's ability increases as the odds against him increase, so they should be a perfect team so long as he doesn't 😵
That's not how it works at all. She manipulates probability, but she has to actively take action for things to go her way. She can't just sit around and wait for things to happen.
2 other easter eggs. Wade in the Wolverine movie used his swords to block bullets when the team came out of the elevator. And calling Josh Brolin "One eyed Willie" in the transport was a call back to Goonies, which Josh Brolin was one of the kids in.
Do you girls remember X Men First Class?? Tghere was the kid names Sean Cassidey who could scream really loud, so they called him Banshee?? Black Tom is Sean Cassidy's YOUNGER Brother. And also the red haired girl, in X Men 2 who lets out a scream when the soldiers infiltrate the school, is Teresa Cassidy who has the codename: Siren
If you ladies didnt know, but when Deadpool is fighting Cable in the prison truck and he says take your best shot one eyed WIlly, its because the actor playing cable, and Thanos, is also the older brother from The Goonies
According to this movie's IMDb Trivia page, Reynolds wanted the most wasteful way to spend 20 million dollars, so that's why Brad Pitt only shows up for less than a second as The Vanisher. Also... it's too bad you haven't seen "This is Spinal Tap". Then you would've gotten the dial on the gun going to 11.
Deadpool & Wolverine is the best Marvel movie ever. I saw it 5 times at the theater. It has one of the most iconic openings of all time. Seriously, it even rivals the Star Wars opening.
Cable - is the son - of Cyclops (Scott) and Jean Grey. So yeah, he's pretty darn powerful. And that Logan figurine that starts playing when pushing in the branch is one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen on film.
For Cable's powers. He was infected with a techno-organic virus (basically nanotech designed to attach and attack organic material) as a baby and was sent to the future by his parents hoping that there was a cure. Cable wasn't able to get cured (obviously), but his telekinetic and telepathic powers manifested which helped him keep it at bay. He has the capabilities to be one of the most powerful mutants period. He's also the son of Scott Summers (cyclops) and a clone of Jean Grey.
31:10 - Deadpool blocking bullets with a sword flurry isn’t “so random!” - it’s a reference to Deadpool’s first action scene in X-Men: Origins - Wolverine
The kid's name is Julian Dennison. He was in Hunt For The Wilderpeople, the second Godzilla movie with Millie Bobby Brown of Stranger Things and a movie called Y2K coming out this year. He is from New Zealand.
In the comics Cable is Cyclops and Jene's son. He has telepathic powers and usually keeps them focused on controlling a virus inside him so it doesn't kill him, so he usually relies on technology for combat so he doesn't have to divert his powers from keeping himself alive. So far, there is no indication that they will go that route in the films.
You guys need to watch “Blade”. It’s Wesley Snipes most iconic role. The third installment may of not been the greatest, but it did lead to Ryan Reynolds become Deadpool.
Cable, X-Force, Shatterstar, Domino, and Deadpool were all created by Rob Liefeld of Marvel Comics in the 90’s. He was the youngest artist ever employed by Marvel, at least at that time; a brilliant young mind and good artist who couldn’t draw elbows, or knees.
Always love the use of the Basic Instinct music when Deadpool uncrosses his legs in front of Cable. After Brad Pitt cameos in this, Ryan cameos later in Brad Pitt's Bullet Train.
Colossus was one of the few X-Men that could go toe-to-toe with Juggernaut. This Juggernaut is much more like the actual comic book character. He was monstrously sized and he rarely spoke but when he did it was to give a concise explanation of what he was going to do to you then... he would do it. You have to get his helmet off to do any damage to him. Cable has no sides he has both helped and hindered the X-Men multiple times throughout the Marvel Universe for various reasons. Cable, Bishop, and Forge are all time-traveling bounty hunters.
Colossus cannot go toe to toe with Juggernaut. He is not nearly as strong as Juggernaut nor does he have the Juggernaut's invincibility. That's why it usually takes the entire X-Men team to take down the Juggernaut.
Forge is an inventor, not a bounty hunter. Before Beast became the guy who developed all the X-Men's tech (largely thanks to spinoffs like the films) it was Forge who handled all that. His power is LITERALLY the ability to invent whatever he needs at that time.
Please, I beg you. Stop worrying about how all the X-Men (& MCU) timelines “fit.” They don’t. Even in the end credits here they’re acknowledging it’s a joke. There are events/characters that are anachronistic, just plain “off” from the other movies, or simply a terrible variant that should have never existed in the first place. Just watch/accept the movie world you’re in at the time. 🧘♀️🧘♀️
The New Mutants gets a bad wrap because it isn't about the Xmen, but it's pretty good as a stand-alone. Other great super hero comedies worth checking out is Mystery Men, Kickass 1&2, and Hancock.
If you remember in X-Men Origins : Wolverine, Ryan's character, that was meant to be Deadpool but every single fan hated due to what they did to the character, had a scene when they exited the elevator and he deflected the bullets from a room full of bad guys with his swords. That's why Deadpool does the same thing in the trailer against Cable, except he only deflects the first one and its then full of bullet holes.
Just to let you know Logan does take place in the main X-men timeline. They originally wanted Logan to be its own thing, but Hugh Jackman said that near the end of development they made it a few years after the 'happy ending' of Days of Future Past
There are so many inside jokes in this film! It cracks me up that even helping the kid is just basically mocking Logan. Domino was great! I loved her! Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of DP's gf Vanessa...so I didn't mind the "seemingly pointless" story. Some people may hate on this film...I can honestly say that it helped save my life. It's 1 of the reasons I got back into wrestling...to help train other wrestlers. Helping them...helps me. Thanks again ladies!

I'm honestly just proud of you 2 for getting through this. Cursing and R-Rated aren't your thing, but you've both been amazing. Always are. Great reaction as always. 😅
It helps that it's a comedy and doesn't take itself seriously. Brutal war movies or bloody, vulgar crime dramas like The Departed are usually going to be tougher for them.
@@andruidos13 Definitely. Nightmare On Elm Street was an actual nightmare for Cassie. I was actually mad at people for suggesting it because I knew she'd be terrified.
I cant wait for you guys to see Deadpool 3 in a few months when it's on a streaming service. It starts streaming PPV on October 1st, but I bet by Christmas it should be on Disney +.
Regarding the Green Lantern end scene: Ryan Reynolds hadn't even seen GL when he wrote that end credit scene. Later on, he did see it, and said it wasn't as bad as he thought it was.
The next Deadpool movie is a really deep iceberg layer of references, would be interesting to have seen: Blade, Daredevil, Elektra, and the early 2000's versions of the Fantastic Four by Tim Story. Also to be familiarized with the subjects surrounding Fox acquisition by Disney. I would recommend reading about Channing Tatum's long involvement with Marvel but I bet there is no way to research about that without coming across spoilers so maybe not that, but maybe something to read about after the movie.
I'd suggest missing Elektra and the second Fantastic Four movies, they're not really needed and they're not paticularly great. They'll get all the info the need from Daredevil, blade and the first Fantastic Four film.
Watching the intro: "We will get to see Ryan Reynolds, and we will get to see more Vanessa...." Me: Looking away from screen whistling inconspicuously.
Cable's birth name is (well there are actually TWO Cable's) but his name is Nathaniel Summers (the other one is named Nate Grey). Anyway THIS one is likely Nathaniel Summers who is the son of Scott summers and a clone of Jean Grey who goes by the name Madeline Prior/Goblin Queen. Cable's powers are telekinesis, however he's more known for his cybernetic upgrades. As an infant, Mr. Sinister experiment on Nathan leaving Scott with no choice but to have Bishop (another X Man) take the baby to the future. Cable later returns FROM the future as a MUCH older man.
Cable doesn't have a robotic arm that's actually a technovirus in the future that he is keeping at bay with his multiple powers, one being telekinesis. You can tell it's kind of spreading to his chest area.
Deadpool and Wolverine is an incredible movie and I can't wait for you to see it. But just like seeing the X-men and MCU movies gave you context for the jokes in the first two Deadpool movies I think there are three movies you have to watch before seeing the third: Blade (1998) Daredevil (2003) (Director's Cut) Fantastic Four (2005)
Josh Brolin ALSO played "Younger" Agent K in Men in Black 3 and unless I'm way off, I think he also played the DC Character Jonah Hex co-starring Megan Fox & John Malkovich. That very possible COULD be part of the DC reference Wade uses in this movie; that and the fact that DC did try to go WAY Darker than Marvel with the theme of their movies.

Matt Damon was wearing a fat suit, so he is very unrecognizable. Brad Pitt did his cameo for a cup of coffee.

Deadpool and Wolverine will be the perfect way to cap off their Xmen journey, so good.
2 other easter eggs. Wade in the Wolverine movie used his swords to block bullets when the team came out of the elevator.
And calling Josh Brolin "One eyed Willie" in the transport was a call back to Goonies, which Josh Brolin was one of the kids in.
Fun Fact: Josh Brolin was also in The Goonies, that's why DP called him One Eyed WIlly, Josh played the older brother Brand
The coolest thing about Juggernaut is that he isn't a mutant he just prayed really hard, and his god blessed him with power.
Brad Pitt just wanted to be paid with a cup of coffee to appear in this movie.
First of all, that sounds stupid.
Second, the guy above me is right.
"We get to see Vannessa, we love her" lol
As a major metal head, I can honestly say without shame that the opening song from Celine Dion is absolute 🔥🔥
"gimme your best shot one eye'd willy"
amazing reference, josh brolin was in the goonies lmao
So in the comics, Juggernaut is Professor X's Stepbrother, which is why they made that joke about the helmet and him being in a wheelchair.
"Knight and Day" starring Tom Crusie, it's like they wrote that movie with you two in mind
That's exactly the sort of movie they should mix in after watching something tougher for them.
"There's only 87 f words in this one" lol
We gotta get these two to watch Scarface now.
They already watched The Departed together, f-bombs should barely faze them at this point.
Deadpool & Wolverine is the best Marvel movie ever. I saw it 5 times at the theater. It has one of the most iconic openings of all time. Seriously, it even rivals the Star Wars opening.
It is so awesome to see Cassie. Go through this transformation from 2 to 3 years ago. Now it's Carly that I can barely hang.😂
Not sure if you remember the credit scene from "X-Men: Apocalypse," but it hinted at Essex Corp, which you just saw as the bad guys in this film.
I love the bit with Yukio in the end credits that you did not show
Little bit of information for you... Cable is Scott (Cyclops) and Jean's ( Phoenix/ Dark Phoenix) son from the future.
Y'all missed the final extra scene at the end of the movie where he arrives at the nursery with baby Hitler.
I think that was an editing decision due to the nature of the scene.
I wonder if cassie and carly ever saw flash dance?
Professor X and Juggernaut are stepbrothers.
16:48 The guard that tazes Wade is played by Nolan North, the cartoon and video game voice of Deadpool.
Fun fact, the music that's played during Wade's death is the same music played during Logan's death in Logan ("Don't Be What They Made You")
Cassie cackling and wheezing throughout this was fantastic to watch. This instantly became one of my favourites on this channel!
Forge in the comics was not a time traveler. The time travel for Forge came from the 90s cartoon.
@@garyhall2770 good to know, I haven't read all the comics.
Deadpool 2 was awesome. I love how he was the only who didn't give up on Russell. And the moment he sacrificed himself to Russell was awesome.
The one eyed Willy reference was for ‘The Goonies’ movie.
The music in this movie its amazing, the acoustic version of " take on me" its beautiful
The guy who played Russell was also Belsnickle (the angry rogue elf) in The Christmas Chronicles 2 with Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn.
Gretchen would be glad to know that "fetch" did indeed catch on.
It's been a Utah thing for decades for what should be obvious reasons.
Wow this was like legit one of your best reactions ever. I've never heard Cassie actually wheeze before, It's great seeing her legitimately laughing her ass off here :)
i love how he calls Cable by his past movies Thanos and the Goonies he says one -eyed willy where he played the older brother Bran
"It'll have Vanessa..."
Me: **evil cackling** lol
I'm honestly just proud of you 2 for getting through this. Cursing and R-Rated aren't your thing, but you've both been amazing. Always are. Great reaction as always. 😅
It helps that it's a comedy and doesn't take itself seriously. Brutal war movies or bloody, vulgar crime dramas like The Departed are usually going to be tougher for them.
@@andruidos13 Definitely. Nightmare On Elm Street was an actual nightmare for Cassie. I was actually mad at people for suggesting it because I knew she'd be terrified.
Saw deadpool and wolverine in 3D at the theater BEST ONE YET !!! Can't waite to see it again
I think you will both enjoy Deadpool and Wolverine
In the comics Deadpool's primary love interest at one point was lady death who is literally death,
But they can't be together because he can't die
Dubstep never dies
I love how Cassie just glazes over the reveal that Jaugernaught and Charles Xavier are brothers.
That's a tricky one for people to catch, honestly. I've seen tons of reactors miss that one or JUST barely catch it.
Step-Brothers...Not really related.
I mean, it's asking a lot to catch that, given the only clue is that his brother is in a wheelchair.
@@markc1793
And he tries reading his mind, that's why he wears the helmet
Everybody's gonna say "watch Blade, Daredevil(2003), and Fantastic Four(2005)" and you should.
Indeed
Definitely.
Daredevil...but ONLY the Director's cut. Otherwise skip it.
I agree. Save Blade for close to Halloween though.
And Loki, right?
The whole scene with Deadpool regrowing his legs made me laugh so hard in theaters I cried
I cant wait for you guys to see Deadpool 3 in a few months when it's on a streaming service. It starts streaming PPV on October 1st, but I bet by Christmas it should be on Disney +.
The shirt Deadpool wears while regrowing his legs is the same shirt worn by Chunk in The Goonies, which Josh Brolin was also in.
I really love how Matt Damon keeps popping up in cameos in the MCU movies.
Watching the intro:
"We will get to see Ryan Reynolds, and we will get to see more Vanessa...."
Me: Looking away from screen whistling inconspicuously.
Excellent reaction. I also love at the beginning as Carly is still grossed out and Cassie is just laughing!
The episodes are always even better when Carly joins in
When juggernaut. Said he has a brother in a wheelchair he was talking about professor Xavier that’s his brother
The one eyed Willy reference is from Goonies because Josh played the older brother Rand in it.
This is the movie we needed to cheers us up after watching Logan.
32:34 - “i can’t feel my legs” is what Charles says after Magneto deflects one of Moira’s bullets into his spine at the end of X-Men: First Class
Cable doesn't have a robotic arm that's actually a technovirus in the future that he is keeping at bay with his multiple powers, one being telekinesis. You can tell it's kind of spreading to his chest area.
39:53 Lol.... Carly's F-Bomb (Fetch)
Cable is Cyclops (Scott Summers) and Madolyn Pryor (Jean Grey Clones) child from the future.
Brolin was in the Goonies…did you catch all the Goonies references in the transport battle?
I love they call Brolin "One Eyed Willy" since he's in Goonies
That "Chair Scene with the Sparks" in the intro is from the movie, "Flashdance". Also worth a watch, even though it's pretty cheesy. 😂
Deadpool and Wolverine is an incredible movie and I can't wait for you to see it. But just like seeing the X-men and MCU movies gave you context for the jokes in the first two Deadpool movies I think there are three movies you have to watch before seeing the third:
Blade (1998)
Daredevil (2003) (Director's Cut)
Fantastic Four (2005)
Also Electra.
Deadpool and Wolverine is a good movie. Still in theaters and made over 1 billion dollars.
The new highest grossing R-rated movie!
He was Jonah Hex.
@@markwilliams6394 yeah, I wasn't 100% when I typed it in but I checked it afterwards. I always TRY to include that when I am not sure. Helps keep trolling to a minimum. lol. God forbid I make a slight mistake, right?? lol.
@@patrickcromwell7554 I was just acknowledging that you were right about him playing Jonah Hex.
