Love these talks with you Brian Kennedy. I think you use a sense of humor along with great content for the lay person to understand . Thank you.
Always great to hear Brian talk. I would like to hear Brians view on hormesis and aging.
@Paul Wolf thats fake news 😂😂😂😂 blood pressure is 10 number more in cold regions
On AKG, would be goo to sort out the caAKG vs AKG difference. Don't recall an explanation for calcium form. BTW, if I understiood Adam Antebi;s recent NUS talk, he showed tha low insulin is upstream of effects that increased AKG.
Adam Antebis presentation about converging pathways for aging and the folate cycle deserve a follow up.
Good info folks 👍
Also, I’m wondering if collagen levels can be assessed as a hallmark of aging?
Knowing that these compounds are potentially effective on microbes, is there any concern for the affect on microbes in the digestive tract of sublets ingesting the compounds? Candida overgrowth perhaps?
I've heard Prof. Kennedy mention, many times, combinations of small molecules which don't work well together in mouse models. I'm wondering specifically, which of these combinations were problematic?
Rejuvant CEO said berberine counteracted the lifespan-extension effects of CaAKG in their trials. He also stated that the more compounds they combined, the smaller the effect size.
Thank you!. I wonder if an aberrant microbiome should be considered as a hallmark of aging?
Why the Ca form of AKG? Why the added vitamin A for men and Vitamin D for women and how much? Fascinating talk. Thank you.
you are a doctor 😂😂😂😂
I would like to see a paper studying exercise on an empty stomach as a possible trigger of autophagy. Is it a functional senolytic?
When will anyone know for sure what lifestyles, molecules to take etc will increase lifespan? I don't want to start taking NMN and or NR, only to find out years after they weren't effective at increasing lifespan and may have been harmful
Would like to know the title of the indroduction song.
Your intro is so great :)
Remember: experimentation is superior to wishful thinking.
I hope these teams are working from a multidisciplinary perspective including engineering. I sometimes feel that research becomes too confined to a minimal number of disciplines which unfortunately narrows the perspective and solutions.
Is anyone anywhere doing any research into aging and bio-electric networks or the 'electro-biom as I call it...?
????
You forgot Aubrey DeGrey's Seven Deadly Things, which predated the pillars and hallmarks: he was actually the first one to come up the idea.
What is Retsuvent? I've not been able to find it.
Resveratrol

Love the comment that "the only proven thing so far is exercise". However, I have to wonder why you don't flip your research approach to study existing "super agers" and connect the dots back to the genetics and lifestyle practices. When I think about the western super agers, I think about the people who have made a living from their appearance and/or athletic performance [actors, models, athletes etc.]. Longevity studies are often about different regions but people in those groupings are likely getting similar results but may have very different genetic profiles. We have much better ways to collect and use data now so it might be a better way to understand the connectivity of aging factors. It may cut the cost of research as well or is that what companies like Inside Tracker are trying to do?
What intro song is this
The longest one on UA-cam
I couldn't find it :(
This would be so much better, without the intro and the outro. It's so pretentious! A waste of time and electricity ⚡🖖 we are not in preschool
