Okay, I need to address this. His name is pronunced GAL-of; proven to us in ff14 when it was actually spoken out loud. This Ga-LOOF is draining my IQ each time I hear it lol
Another thing about Rapid Fire that wasn't mentioned, it also ignores Defense completely. Makes dealing with enemies and bosses with high physical defense (Like Melusine). Only thing you have to deal with is Row modifiers. But Row modifiers don't exist if using a Bow. Rapid Fire is just the most broken offense ability in the game and beneficial for every class with high strength.
Fun fact: Because of how the charts work, !Animals tends to be less useful vs bosses the higher your level is, because the higher level effects are usually instant death or the stop effect (which bosses tend to be immune to) Geomancers have similar charts and problems
Ranger and Bard.... really slept on these jobs for the longest time until I got them in a FJF. Quad strike with Mystic Knight Flare Blade is monstrous damage output late game, and Bard trivializes so many locking enemies down while the rest of the party jumps them. Wasn't expecting Ranger only to work out so well, but I worry for the upcoming quartet of bards.
Man this must have felt like such a blessing after dealing with Berserkers. Actually having access to items and heals. Rapid Fire for the win. Not really sure what was going on with Enkidu.
Love these keep up the good work. this is prob one of if no my favorite ff game or favorite game in general. I am glad to see content for it. older final fantasy content seems to be dead nowadays. Especially final fantasy tactics content like there are races and sub jobs but there are no race only or job only or 1 character only challenges for any of the tactics games.
Recently found the channel, and saw this after the Bard video. I've never played FFV, but I must say it really puts into perspective how bad the Bard run was after being impressed by triple-digit numbers and seeing abilities put out in a single-round which took Bard 20+ rounds is actually quite hilarious.
Omg I had no idea you made a new channel, I really liked your recommended playing videos from years ago! Subbed and looking forward to catching up on these videos
For the stretch of game where your party level makes Nightingale common, !Animals is an _incredible_ skill. It's such a good heal for that slice of game. Too bad about the huge gap in value between mostly reliable healing, and uncontrollable random status ailments all the way up to Boar and Unicorn. Which you won't normally see without raising your level in-battle. Nice use of the elemental bows! They've always felt oddly placed, with not enough _need_ to hit elemental weaknesses early on, and not enough power to take advantage of them later. Melsusine got pumped full of scalding shafts. Whaaat? Rapidfire whiffs on Wendigo's clones? That's incredibly good compared to triggering counterattacks the way multitarget spells do. No one should have to suffer the old agony of dummy targets (looking at you Sandworm!) but this feels like too much of a buff. Cool to see Black Mages using !Animals. Better Nightingale heals is a great example of how good synergies work in FF5, which we aren't getting a lot of in single class content. Nice. You sure Rapid-Fired your way through the rift ... rapidly. XD And then you slept your way through NeoExdeath. XD "Will the Bard have the same level of power?" **mad cackling** Yes but no.
Recommendation for dealing with Omniscient having no magic users that doesnt involve draining mp (maybe already posted): Have 1 or 2 party members with reflect rings and be prepared to use powerful attacks when he uses Stop or Silence which bounce off and will work on him (though not 100% of the time). The effects won't last long, but if youre waiting to act you can get 1 or 2 attacks in. You just have to be careful not to accidentally attack when the spells dont connect. Reflect rings keep you protected and healthy. After enough damage he'll kill himself with -aga spells. Unsure if this works on pixel remaster.
I still wish you could just pick what animal you wanted. That's really the only thing I can complain about with Rangers and Rapid Fire more than makes up for it.
@HeruCSGO I join Pixel Remaster Modding Discord server, and I can assure you that there is no such a thing. Additionaly, Backlog already said that he wouldn't play/emulate other versions.
When the time comes how are you going to do minic? By the time you unlock it the game will be almost over. Also will do you be doing runs with the advanced crystals? Also did you consider using cheats to unlock the jobs early this you can dona full run
No 'advanced' crystals in the Pixel Remasters, so he'd have to play GBA or the old Steam port. As for Mimic, probably just the Freelancer run with a fork near the end.
I'm gonna guess the Mimic job will be the most challenging. Freelancer for most of the game with nothing to do but Attack and use Item for the remainder. Assuming they can break rods, I imagine mimicking a nearly endless supply will be the only thing that saves it from failure.
X-Fight for the win. I'm surprised you waited so long! X-Fight lets you easily kill Skull Eaters in world 1. Any plans for the GBA exclusive jobs? Thankee!
The most disappointing aspect of xfight/rapidfire/whatever your favorite translation is, is that when you're doing a normal game and have mastered ninja for free dual-wield while suppin/bare/freelancer/jobless, x-fighting with TwinLances doesn't result in 16 hits. It'd just be fun to use the quick trick to drop 32 attacks in a row from the back row with no miss chance, ignoring defense, at half damage. Omega weapon? More like Omega bitch-on.
Interesting that at a very high level animals can summon unicorn that heals all your HP and MP but at that point is not so useful because rapid fire existing
Well, I can say this much - Bard does at least one thing right, and that's murder (re-murder?) the undead. In my recent playthrough, I had two party members as casters (was maxing out levels on Summoner and White Mage on Faris and Lenna respectively) whilst going through the Undersea Trench and subbed Sing as their second job command. With the high Intelligence of a mage, the Bard song "Requiem" was easily doing 6000+ damage to all enemies with zero MP cost or cast time (this also applies to the Pig Bros.). Absolutely broken. Unfortunately, Bard is broken in a more literal sense for most other scenarios. Their other songs are just not great. It's too bad Regen effects suck in this game, and the stat boosts from other songs give barely noticable increases in damage output, etc. Swift Song is maybe not terrible, but why bother when you can just get Hermes Sandals? Not a favorite job of mine in this game...
@@veghesther3204Oh yeah, I totally get that. I literally meant it was the "one thing" they can do well! 😂 It's going to be a nightmare for the other 99.9% of the game. Probably a lot more rod-smashing...
