Yeah I've seen it. Good video though it's a bit too short for all the depth and experimentation that probably went into it. I can imagine my final video about full loadout swap will end up pretty similar to the final best loadout from that video.
Yeah but you have to consider that the premise of this video is the restriction, that being only the ability to use primaries of one specific class. You can't just go scout with a full kit of other classes, so like the direct hit will still one shot them
An engi with a flamethrower would be able to protect his nest a lot better. Not only can he now spy check, but he also can reflect rockets, pipes, and stickies all by himself. It would allow him to set up more aggro sentries and generally seems to be probably the 2nd or even 1st pick that I'd choose.
Fun fact, TF2 speed boosts are relative to the class's base speed. So for example Scout only gets a 26.3% boost in speed, and Heavy gets a massive 40% boost in speed. So you would think Medic and Spy would both get a 32.8% boost, but no Spy actually gets a 35% boost, same as Engi, Pyro, and Sniper despite having a faster base movement speed than them. Basically what I'm saying here is that using the Big Earner and BFB together on Spy would be nuts. You could run at 182% speed, which is above the max speed.
Kunai and bfb ... It's already hard to kill a kunai spy when he can trickstab some teamate and get fully healed again , Now imagine a scout speed 210 health guy that zips around killing pepole and can dead ringer away if stuff becomes too dumb ...
The reason Spy gets the 35% speed boost is because Spy _used_ to have 100% movement speed, same as Engi, Pyro, and Sniper, and the speed boost was of course calculated off of that. When he got buffed, this value was not changed, hence why he moves a bit faster. The exact formula is something like +105 HU/sec, but if this passes some specific percentage, cap the Spd boost at that percentage.

Scout with the Sniper’s Primary’s is scary. He jumps to positions which make him immune to backstabs, and other Sniper’s aren’t gonna be expecting him to be in these new places.
Also giving the invisible crab-man a sniper rifle sounds actually terrifying. Ultimate infiltration/repositioning kit via cloaking plus he can see everyone's health? And then throwing in the C&D? Good lord forget the knife SPY HAS A SNIPER RIFLE You would need to rebind either scoping in or cloaking though
He could also use powerjack/back scratcher for more utility, making it pretty much direct upgrade on all fronts. Scorch/detonator/jetpack would drastically improve mobility, snipers in le funny spots would be horrible
I'm surprised the concept of shotgun-sandvich Fat Scout didn't come up, but double shotgun Fat Scout did. That said, a Fat Scout would totally use Baby Face's, or any scattergun for that matter. I'd rather see the ultimate support Hoovy, with a Banana and Holiday Punch backed up with either Rescue Ranger or Crossbow Bolts. Or heck, just Boots, Parachute, or Rocket Jumper for more meme survivability (or even Shove-only Shortstop or Airblast-only Flamethrower, if you're an evil hoovy).
Oh god, it'd be like a demoknight with no mobility options. Sounds so painful to use, everyone would just run out of melee range but it would be funny to see how tanky it could become
I was arguing with a guy under shounic video about secondary shotgun on 4 classes, that Medic would benefit from stock shotgun more than Spy but crossbow is still good, demo would be meh with shotgun cos he loses stickies, and sniper is definetly op with shotgun secondary. Spy would be the worst with shotgun instead of revolver, but thinking of the implications of swaping sapper for shotgun is quite op.
iirc shounic did this, and phlog scouts were a hyuge meta defining build most other builds had to ask themselves "can this build overcome phlog scouts" and if the answer was no, then it wasnt a good build
I want to point out that, if we're just swapping primaries, Scout could use the Rocket Launcher and get access to the Rocket Jumper and equip the Winger & Atomizer to have a very airborne boy. And drinking Crit-O-Cola could be used to charge the Phlog faster, but I don't think we need anymore war crimes in TF2. Pipes would also be good for Soldier, can do pipe jumps with most of them, and the Loose Canon could work with the Reserve shooter for combos. There's also Holiday Punch + Steak + Booties Heavy.... Not sure what advantage there is, but it exists.
Giving Engi medic primary also opens up Blutsauger! With 0 drawback since Engi doesn't have health regen, he now has much more survivability, especially if caught away from his nest. And while Syringe guns are bad, they do more dps than shotguns even at full ramp up.
i feel that a sniper rifle would be insane with demo since you could become insanely strong at all ranges and stickies can be set up as a trap if someone tries to flank him. also u cpuld find some nutty sniping spots with sticky jumps
Sniper Rifles would win across the board if we're being real. The only reason as to why Sniper is balanced is because he himself sucks so much. The only reason as to why every class didn't end up with it is because that would make this an extremely boring video.
@@GregenOfficial no??? you can literally on shot 6 out of the 9 classes at any range uncharged while they literally can't do anything to fight back. there's no indicator of where a sniper is until a kill cam or callouts so a demo in some cheesy spot with a sniper would be insane
@@ramenslug1383 5 of the 9 but still dealing with Sniper isn't TOO hard. Fire a flare at them, shoot some rockets, jump and crouch randomly, use corners and stay out of their sightline. Heck, even a few bullets their way can aim-punch them enough to back off. Finding them is easy too, a lot of them like the same spots. Of course, I'm speaking as a Scout main so killing Snipers is kinda my MO but saying there is literally no way to fight back against a Sniper is simply wrong.
A cool idea for medic would be the wee bootys, as it gets you out of quickscope range from snipers Also, fat scout has a few options due to this, though if you want a lunchbox item, you cant have heavys personal shotgun, if you have the bootys, you can
This is awesome. Nice insight there. If you ask me, I wanna see ones for secondary weapons and melee weapons too. As for melee weapons, any Heavy melee weapons would be pretty busted on any other class since they're balanced around Heavy's sluggishness. For examples: Killing Gloves of Boxing gives Soldier and Demoman extra damage upon a single kill. Every class escaping quick with Gloves of Running Urgently or do hit and runs with Eviction Notice. Scout obliterating everyone with Warrior's Spirit up close. Fists of Steel making other classes bullet sponges and ammo wasters. Scout sneak attacking everyone with the Holiday Punch, allowing for quick and easy kills. Meanwhile, Atomizer would break Heavy's gameplay by giving him the ability to jump thrice. Sun-on-a-Stick enables aggro Pyro builds. And any melee weapons that benefit from hitting enemies or does instakills already become Scout's best friends.
A TF2 clone on roblox called Era Warfare kinda does this, with Soldier having access to Pyro's arsenal. This means you can have Banners with flamethrowers, which is extremely annoying to deal with. Just Dragon's Fury + Conch + Faculty (A melee that, on kill, replenishes half your HP) is abysmal to fight against.
Giving Heavy the Baby Face’s Blaster, Widowmaker or Soda Popper would make the Fat Scouts very happy. Especially considering you could still use your lunchbox items.
Scout with the direct hit or phlog in Shounic's server was quite strong when he did a video where he made anyone pick their loadout. It seems that limiting it to only primaries might show the phlog, direct hit meta with scout might come back. What I would do is pipes on medic or crossbow on demo with hybrid knight
To note on the scout and the rocket launchers: he also doesn't have the innate self-damage resistance Soldier does, so it turns even more than on paper.
Heavy with the Rocket Launcher could basically do the reverse of the Chocolate Bar and the GRUE. Instead of using the GRUE and then eating the Bar, he eats the bar and then Rocket Jumps, which is basically a free jump. He bombs, Jumps out, then eats his recharged bar getting most if not all, of the HP back to do it again.
bro i hate enemies bro. i used spy and killed. afk dude so i disguised as that dude at that point everybody had walked past that dude… AND THE SECOND I DISGUISE AND GET INTO THE SPOT 😢 THE ENTIRE ENEMY TEAM SPY CHECKS ME
Backscatter mini crits are easier with spy but at that point just fucking backstab them, so that isn't a good pick for spy, the other scatterguns are though
I think the bfb is a good choice, but then there’s also three other items that would help spy immensely. The backburner with spy is real good, because even though you don’t insta-kill, you shred health at a farther distance. It also helps with splash damage like rockets or stickies. Speaking of splash damage, the rocket launcher and grenade launcher is viable, but mainly rocket launcher. Soldier is a powerful class in the right hands, but with a good spot behind cover and the enemy team helping keep the sentry alive can make it a bit rough without a Uber push or a good soldier. But with spy, the cloak and disguise lets you get past it without getting detected, allowing you to get a good range and fire shots from a distance. Additionally, the rocket launcher can deal massive splash damage and knockback, which gives you time to escape while doing significant damage, bonus with direct hit. Now with grenade launchers, they’re mainly the same thing, except for bigger damage if they land all the shots.
sniper riffle spy, not the most solid but prob the one of the most hated one i think since spy can just shoot you at anywhere, anytime, disapear like my father when they want
I think one of the best swaps for Demo would be Soldier because the Air Strike scales with the same Headcount that the Eyelander uses, so it’d be a lot easier to scale quickly. this also applies to Sniper’s Bazaar Bargain, but I don’t think the play styles mesh as well.
I think Demo with a sniper rifle would be his best combo: - He could sticky jump to places where snipers could only dream of getting to for better angles - Being able to survive a quickscope in a sniper duel - Spies would become a non-issue - Still strong at middle ranges - Getting into melee combat against a demo is by deafult a bad idea
Imagine if the L'Étranger could boost other meters. I'm talking about casually hitting people for chip damage from a mile away, and then closing that mile with a 1.4 length Uber.
Man, I remember playing on randomizer servers. The syringe guns were actually pretty good. Better than the revolver if nothing else. And yeah, Sniper was the worst class to get. Low health, base speed, and he'd get slowed down to his rifle aiming speed when he revs up a minigun due to the way the 'any class can use any weapon' system was implemented.
Demo should get a shotgun. One of Demo's weaknesses is his lack of options at very close ranges. Normally, his best option for the situation is pipes (which will damage you) or melee (it's either stock or worse than stock for normal Demo). On stock, it's a much needed boost. On a Demoknight, you could just become a more tanky Scout. (Also bootlegger on Spy would be funny)
You forgot when discussing pyro with sniper rifle that pyro is immune to afterburn, which actually makes using the sniper rifle far more potent since you don't have to deal with being flinched by detonator/scorch shot
Shounic's experiment came to mind, but I see it was already mentioned by other people so I won't go any further there. About a decade ago MGE(1v1) tournament was hosted with unlimited loadout combinations to see who could come up with most broken one. Anyone interested in theorycrafting broken setups might find it fun to watch: /watch?v=g_QlKgijyB8
Okay, now hear me out with this very niche and initial crackpot idea for a soldier primary swap, but imagine this... Medigun Soldier! Allow the damage that healing-beam linked allies inflict upon enemies count towards banners and you have very surprisingly effective healing, though there is the BIG downside of being almost entirely support focused since your only means of attack is a melee weapon... so oof to that.
now hear me out give spy the minigun. think about it a bunch of enemys are about to cap the point on koth when all of a sudden behind them brass beast spy pops out of nowere and mows them all down.
backburner scout, or god forbid flog scout, would be the worst thing to ever grace this earth. Though, in terms of double shotgun gaming, I'd KILL to have a shotgun secondary as scout. Just a bog standard stock shotgun - or something like the family business since it's balanced around being a secondary. Or hell, an appropriately rebalanced shortstop. I've never had any more luck with that thing than a pistol anyway. You could also make an argument for the rocket jumper on the scout. Sure, he already has mobility, but there would be _nowhere_ on the map you couldn't access with ease, and if you were really good with pistols, the winger is a decent source of damage, especially if paired with the fan o war. You'd turn scout into the ultimate pick class, and never die.
Yeah the class wars + randomizer one was the only one I could find. The rest were all 10x or 100x randomizers and I wanted a classic randomizer experience
@@GregenOfficial on some servers the 10x doesn't even work unless you have the weapon in your current loadout. Like if u got direct hit in your active soldier loadout it and get it on randomizer it will have 10x buff But if you roll other soldier weapon it wont have the buff.. Idk how that works and it's weird
Idea for the stupidity: scout with demos boots, yea it's stupid, but if your able to swap out scondaries well might I add: BOOTS, SMG, and the atomiser. Also I'm pretty sure scout was supposed to have the SMG
Pretty sure Rocket jumping Heavy would dominate regular soldier. I mean 3% less speed in exchange for 100 health? Add in the second banana and Heavy can roam the map as he pleases with the sheer amount of self sustain. The Banners are good but not 100 bonus health + lunchbox good. Who is the budget Soldier now?
@@thesmm2311 It would somewhat but I simply went the with assumption that Heavy would rocket normally. However it should be noted that Soldier also has knockback resistance to his own rockets same as Demo. Otherwise they fly much further. Now I haven't check it on a randomizer server but I think Heavy should be able to rocket jump further than soldier.
youtuber shounic has done an experiment really similar to this one, i wont spoil what the best loadout is but i highly recommend anyone to watch it
Yeah I've seen it. Good video though it's a bit too short for all the depth and experimentation that probably went into it.

You dropped K multiple times. The word you're looking for is knight, not night.
Completely different meaning
Imagine a scout using sniper primary’s with mobility secondary and melee.
They could get to insane spots for sniping at that point
11:05 hear me out direct hit rocket out of nowhere from a disguised spy
If you haven't already, you should check out Shounic's video, "any class can use any weapon now. how broken is tf2?"
You forgot when discussing pyro with sniper rifle that pyro is immune to afterburn, which actually makes using the sniper rifle far more potent since you don't have to deal with being flinched by detonator/scorch shot
if you could equip any weapon in any slot, without any dupes, the best combo would be, black box, conch and back burner on heavy
Spy with the backburner, all im gonna say.
Pyro Sniper + Jetpack. you could do some really wacky stuff with that, or jetpack + huntsman.
Imagine a scout with the back burner and mad milk.
Or a spy with the back burner
Engie: Scatterguns.
Just engie with an actual primary shotgun
also note that a scout with the flamethrower could get use out of the sun on a stick if they wanted
Shounic's experiment came to mind, but I see it was already mentioned by other people so I won't go any further there.
About a decade ago MGE(1v1) tournament was hosted with unlimited loadout combinations to see who could come up with most broken one.
Anyone interested in theorycrafting broken setups might find it fun to watch: /watch?v=g_QlKgijyB8
finally tf2
Imagine…. MINIGUN, plus *sticky Jumper, the best jumper*
Oh god Heavy or Spy with Force-A-Nature.
Scout or Heavy with a Sniper Rifle.
2:14 ah yes scout from live and let spy
Technically spy should be able to exchange his disguise kit for the engi pda so imagine going invis, behind enemy lines and just placing a teleporter
11:19 Like father like son.
Spy with the backburner
now hear me out give spy the minigun. think about it a bunch of enemys are about to cap the point on koth when all of a sudden behind them brass beast spy pops out of nowere and mows them all down.
Sticky Jumper + Brass Beast and Kunai :)
I had a cursed thought: SPIES WITH MINIGUNS
that intro hit hard because i always get the worst loadouts meanwhile the enemy team has 5 people with god tier loadouts
Love the profile pic LeeLoo 😊👍
Thermal Thruster Panic Attack combo
12:40 Spy is the second fastes class
engineer with a minigun is pretty strong when defending a room, you basically get 2 sentries.
as a pyro who runs jetpack, jetpack pomson pyro is the kind of meme garbage i need in my life
What future videos do you plan to make?
backburner scout, or god forbid flog scout, would be the worst thing to ever grace this earth.
I think that you'll be happy to hear my selection for next episode then!
"None runs randomizer servers anymore"
I played class wars + randomizer three days ago!
And i got like 2 more randomizer is favorites
Yeah the class wars + randomizer one was the only one I could find. The rest were all 10x or 100x randomizers and I wanted a classic randomizer experience
@@GregenOfficial on some servers the 10x doesn't even work unless you have the weapon in your current loadout.
Like if u got direct hit in your active soldier loadout it and get it on randomizer it will have 10x buff
But if you roll other soldier weapon it wont have the buff..
Idk how that works and it's weird
Idea for the stupidity: scout with demos boots, yea it's stupid, but if your able to swap out scondaries well might I add: BOOTS, SMG, and the atomiser. Also I'm pretty sure scout was supposed to have the SMG
I mean it’s the best crap ever!
medic would benefit more from the scatterguns than from the flamethrower tbh, the flamethrower would compete with his medigun for time being held out.
i feel like fat scout would just be heavy with either stock or bird heavy
Pretty sure Rocket jumping Heavy would dominate regular soldier. I mean 3% less speed in exchange for 100 health? Add in the second banana and Heavy can roam the map as he pleases with the sheer amount of self sustain. The Banners are good but not 100 bonus health + lunchbox good. Who is the budget Soldier now?
Wouldn't Heavy's knockback resistance affect his rocket jumping?
@@thesmm2311 It would somewhat but I simply went the with assumption that Heavy would rocket normally. However it should be noted that Soldier also has knockback resistance to his own rockets same as Demo. Otherwise they fly much further. Now I haven't check it on a randomizer server but I think Heavy should be able to rocket jump further than soldier.
Video idea: What if every class could use the shealds and booties
Every class gets stock sniper rifle and becomes S tier.
Ok, hear me out, Booties Spy.
Yeah and theirs a reason why some of these classes don’t get a specific weapon type
