- Have you ever played on 2Fort and realized that you tend to see a lot of the same things over and over again? That's because you have been!
In this 18 minute long documentary, we'll be tackling just a few of the things that you can see on a daily basis while on 2Fort.
Sit back, relax and lets get into it.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay so, just for your information, I had to learn how to animated with SFM to make this video, I didn't even know how to animate the camera moving before working on this. So if the animations are a bit... rough. Don't be surprised.
One of my main goals while working on this was to put as much editing as possible into the video, unfortunately, not everything went as planned... Some things looked different in the editing software compared to the final video, so they turned out worse, and the second half of the video is just overall a bit less well edited.
But besides that, I hope you can still all enjoy it!

Hello there
good job lad
Yes this is very pog
You forgot one: the Pyroshark. Constantly in the sewers with the neon annihilator, electrocuting any enemy who dares enter his territory.
I'm always that guy, I just wait in a corner in the water and wait.
That's me! :D
I even have the Shark hat!
That’s me
I also pair with shotgun just incase someone has ammo
That's me right after I got the annihilator

And then there’s the “I’m doing a contract can the game please end...” guy who is going trough hell trying to get it trough the people in the server that he trying to do a contract but fails because people only care about death matching for as long as possible with as few breaks as possible these guys are also found on maps that tend to not end like other ctf maps and Hightower
Also these guys never like the fact that the round has to end to turn in his contract or to keep progress on his contract
That’s why I only do contracts on maps that have a guaranteed ending, unless it’s absolutely necessary (such as the 2fort and hightower map contracts). I nearly got kicked a few times for just touching the cart to add points to my contract
True.
when do people learn
YOU CAN'T DO A CONTRACT ON 2FORT

My favorite form of hyper aggressive Engineer is to build a nest in the enemy intel.
Last week when I was on a 2fort community server, almost the entire enemy team was in our intel room with 9 level 3 sentry guns.
Last week, me and the boys set up a huge nest in the enemy intel room. The enemy team responded in kind and set up a sentry nest outside of their intel room. What resulted was the best form of no capping I’ve ever seen. Nobody from our team could leave the enemy base with their intel, and the enemy couldn’t get our intel to their intel room, so it was a stalemate.
you seen it, i lived as an engie doin it!
@@SMG-vx3mu yeah I've done it, I've gotten my entire team to go down there and have a party.

You forgot the "enemy intelligence protectors" engineers. They are building sentries in enemy flag room and "defending" it from being overrun by enemy team. Its a part of ninjaneering, and i am one of them. Its pretty funny by the way
oh yeah that's fun to do
Ye.
its really fun
five nights at 2fort 😰
That’s literally just the offensive engineer
It's funny how each tryhard uses the exact same argument every single time
Not funny
I love how that's ALWAYS their argument yet I almost NEVER see a tryhard on maps other than friendly-filled one like 2Fort. Like yeah choosing a specific map usually filled with the type of player you dislike is playing the game.
My argument is "then stop the bloodshed by killing me until I leave"
@@mlgiyel3021 Maybe he just like this map lol
@@mlgiyel3021 Want be friendly? Go to community server
You missed the Sewer Engineer, the guy who builds a sentry nest in the least important section of the map and yet somehow manages to make every player in the server make it their lifes goal to kill them.
And don't forget they put it in the ENEMYS sewer
As a rage friendly, the feeling of be-friending a hoovy and watching him die, over and over again truly enrages me, and causes something inside my pea-brain sized head to switch to this un-satiable need for bloodlust against the pursuer- inevitably causing the player who killed said hoovy friend to leave the game in a rage quit.
How fun.
I really enjoyed this video krom, you have a good sense for this.
Keep it up.
Yeah, this pretty much sums it up.
This will be a fine addition to my master piece playlist
You are a bold one.
@@KromTheGod also, you describe friendlies very well.

me: crouches a millisecond after the bullet is shot

I remember this one time when it was recently after Rick May's death (RIP) and the entire server went friendly soldier and we all taunted on the top of the bridge of 2fort and honoured him in chat.
It was a happy day in the sadness after his death
This was a blast to watch, Krom! Had me laughing and smiling the entire time! Great job man!
2FORT is the heart of TF2... TF2-wise, you find every kind of player possible here to the game
As soon as I heard "2Fort" I instantly knew that this video was gonna be great
because there is 2 forts
Do one on high tower since people play it a lot and there’s many different people I see there, it would be very interesting.
It's pretty much the same as this map
@@leonardo9259 except raging kids screaming don't cap and in ctf_2fort it's rarely happen.
Thanks you for reminding me of the brief "Rage Friendly" phase I went through.
Remember everyone: you mustn't kill t-posers because it's so freaking hard to make it work on 2fort
crouching friendlies are lower in priority than them aswell
This is really amazing, I hope it starts getting recommended to people more
i can honestly understand the rage friendlies. in my 2fort experience i take more of a "im only shooting if you're shooting" stance, or i start looking out for a specific person if they start repeatedly killing multiple friendlies (which is usually their biggest mistake because i play uncletopia-level battle engineer)
I think the one thing everyone knows about 2fort(mainly every ctf map though) is that there’s always engineers either near the entrance of the intel room or sat on the intel
"The primary directive"
I like how Engies are being described in a way that lends to them being a Borg hivemind, because this is how Engies tend to act when there's 3 or more of them in 2fort.
"A votekick is usually initiated within five minutes of the hacker joining."

You forgot to mention at the spycrab that one of the dance taunts (Mannrobics) has another reference to spycrabs. Explanation below if you want to read it.
Every class has an animation when starting the dance. The spy at the end of this animation mimics crab claws with his hands.

This is a bit old now but this is definitely one of the best tf2 videos I’ve ever seen it has nice visuals and a perfect balance between comedy and seriousness
I was expecting some documentary rant or listing everything about this map and it's players.
*BUT THIS IS 100X BETTER*
I love how it simply ends with T poses, there's no need to say anything about these terrifying creatures
I feel like I fall between the friendly, and rage friendly when I am the hoovy. I prefer to carry around the steak sandvich, incase I am attacked, I have a way to grant myself the moderate ability to defend myself without using my gun.
Great videos I loved to talk with you in direct an I appreciate that you thought of me as a human being.
You treated me better than my family.
I would just like to add a single personality, the "Protectors"
They protect friendlies with a PASSION, usually as pyro or heavy, they will mercilessly kill ANYONE that intentionally hurts or kills a friendly. They do ignore accidental damage, like stray shotgun pellets.
I'm just gonna say, the few I've met are just either newbies with the community, enjoying the game, or absolute GODS amongst men
I'm so glad that this video was in my recommended
Absolute high quality! my eyes have been blessed. I love how elaborate it is and although the animation is not harry101uk level you're definitely up there.
Criminally underrated.
I understand where the Tryhard is coming from. When you're on a Valve server, your only goal should be actually playing the game. If you want to goof off, do nothing in particular, or farm achievements, there are community servers for that. Any veteran Friendly will tell you to go to 24/7 servers in particular for a looser environment. Don't be a sensitive chode in the chat just because someone else actually wants to play the game.
That being said, I still personally try to avoid killing friendlies unless they're dumbasses that walk into a fight expecting everyone to magically know they're friendly, then go into a salty rage when people keep killing them.
I kill friendly players cuz half the time they just got tired of actually playing and have kills that game. Im supposed to forget you killed me 30 sec ago ? Also spies like to use friendly as a disguise. You want to be "friendly" go join a chatroom.
Pretty sad you didn’t talk about the engineers that set up in the enemy teams tunnel.
Thank heavens I've been recommended something good for once
I prefer to label myself somewhat of a "Postal dude" player, as I choose, rather chaotically, whether or not I want to be friendly with players, and generally shoot everything I see that moves from the enemy team. Same way I play Postal 2 on Insane-o, or the way you literally have to play on Impossible or Postal.
Great vid man feel free to make more videos whenever you want because I'm fine waiting
aw dang you know he is quitting youtube?
@@a.t.4527 I know it's just I have a feeling he's going to show up again when we least expect it
Hoodie Gang King yup
11:25 some of them are also people who just want do do contract to cap intel on 2fort
Funniest thing about 11:02, is that on my most recent game of 2Fort, there was a Tryhard pub-stompting Pyro with 500 points (the 2nd highest scoring player had 250), who abused the Scorchshot with a Kritzkrieg pocket medic who had these exact same cosmetics!
oh my god the editing is phenomenal i loved this
you've gotten yourself a new sub, my friend
You forgot the parasites, the Engie and their team who will invade by placing a tele either somewhere inside the enemy base(sometimes including intel for the memes) or the sewers and basically help their team invade, they are different from the aggressive engies, since they won’t try to progress from wherever they are, and are very subtle to the point where they trying to go undetected while doing the invasion to increase the effectiveness.
4:35
Thats more of a separate hack then a thing with aimbot, but aimbot does allow you to shoot through walls.
Great vid dig the concepts in each clip, great timing on segments. I look forward to your next one.
i remember one time where both teams went in blu intel room and everyone was engi and build sentries without ammo dispensers and teleporters, great fun
I devoted myself to the Turtle Style of Engineer to prevent cappers ruining the fun of the server.
9:07 it’s just a 9 edited in THE FUCK DOES IT MEAN
You aren't a true friendly until you get killed by a tryhard and feel no anger whatsoever.
2fort truly is a land of bizarre phenomenons.
Then I'm a ultra-mega agressive engineer, I set up in the enemies Intel room and it's hilarious ever time
Man this is an amazing video, great editing, hilarious jokes, just charming overall, I would watch this to the end of the world
This is one of the most entertaining and underrated videos I've seen in a while
Keep it up!
I love watching stuff like this when I can't play. Thanks for a good story
I’m a rage friendly, I am proud, I call my self “the guard”
When I kill a try hard, I chat bind:
Hey bud, nice kneecaps! I’ll borrow them for some time, next time don’t hurt a friendly.
doin gaben's work
You sir are a man of honor
Im the Friendly engineer who trolls and puts teleporters in there intel and keep coming back
As a Pyro you can use air blast to knock a Demoknight away.
I've been watching this on repeat in 2024 despite this video being 3 years old.
It's so dead-on in what goes on in 2fort, and the types of players you'll encounter.
I personally love the aggressive engineer one because my favorite strat on 2fort is sneaking into the enemy's intel room as engineer to build a nest and force the enemy to fight in their own base.
I've been many of these at some point in my TF2 career. Yes, if you stick with the game long enough, you eventually get bored of the same old defense loop and try other maps and modes, and find out how much more interesting the game gets when you leave 2fort. But I still have fond memories of learning on 2fort, with people's patience when I asked in my squeaker voice "How did you get on your dispenser?"
I was the free to play sniper once, ironically before the game went free to play. I picked sniper because I knew my reaction time was crap and thought maybe that would fix it. Didn't know about mouse acceleration so I found aiming frustrating. Then I played engineer instead, turtling the intel for a little while before realizing I was bored out of my skull and moving to the hayroom. Then I moved across to the straight stairwell, with the dispenser behind the wall so that it would feed me metal without getting damaged by splash. Then I moved it down into the sink room because I realized my dispensers and sentries were for helping teammates instead of defending the objective. Then I tried to move it across the bridge. Then I tried playing spy and failed miserably.
Then I tried playing sniper again and still sucked at that. I think after that I started branching out to other maps and playstyles, eventually settling on really loving medic.
I find 2fort boring now, but I'll always have fond memories of it. It really is like TF2's tutorial map. Sure, it's flawed and encourages boring, hyper-defensive play, but let's get something straight here: I don't think I would survive any of the other maps as well as I survived 2fort. The narrow halls allowed me, someone who couldn't aim and still had mouse acceleration on, to land shots. The defensive design of the map allowed me to deal with opponents 1 on 1 as they came instead of running into giant confusing battles and dying instantly. The casual nature of the game, especially before it went free to play, really let me feel like I was under no pressure to hurry up. I was allowed to learn to fight and play at my own pace. Now tell me, everyone who finds 2fort boring, don't you find the tutorial of a game you know well to be boring most of the time?
“Have you ever feared death?”
Caber users:
Whenever me and my friends play 2Fort, we always play really memey ways. Sometimes we'll dress up like f2p's and run at the enemy with nothing but the stock baseball bat. Other times, I'll try to see how many kills I can get using only the bison. It's fun to see if anyone joins in on the shenanigans.
11:42 those are the best kinds of people on 2fort
this guys editing style makes him the second soundsmith
I rewatched this video like 5 times it’s just too good!
I am guilty of being a scorch shot pyro. Well played, good sir.
Why do you do that
@@hooper6769 cuz I'm a pyro main who walks at people and press M1
