Everyone says this bike is aimed at young beginner riders, I am in my 50's riding for 35 years and ridden sports bikes, adventure bikes, road bikes, dirt bikes and have just got my MT03 (ice fluro) and it is in my top 3. It is light, flickable and great fun. I'm 5 10 and would say am on the limits size wise for comfort, I may change the rearsets to give just a little more room but that aside I love it.

    • @Englishbikerdan
      @Englishbikerdan  2 роки тому +1

I think they are aimed at younger riders, from the design and marketing but that doesn't mean us older riders can't enjoy. Ride safe! 👍

gotta love that mt03 engine. This bike also has a better power to weight ratio compared to some other 500-600cc bikes, less torque obviously.

1987 I took a big fall racing Mx here in Australia. Not waking from my deep, deep coma for over three months.I could no longer walk, talk or eat.My rehab was total hell and back for myself and family/friends.Withoout my wonderful parents giving their all to help me recover I would not be here now.So next week I am over the moon knowing my new MT03 will be at my Yamaha dealer waiting for me,oh what a dream,I have waitied over 33 years for this moment..I will treasure my new bike like never before, when life turns off,one has a new outlook on life.Ride Safe,Enjoy.

I was lucky enough to try one at my local dealers test rides. Honestly its the most satisfying bike in the lineup. Being 1,87 meters tall took me a while to figure out how to sit on it to be comfortable. That is the only "fault" for me, worth it i say. I wanted to by one as soon as i stepped off the bike but damn the covid I'm unemployed.

@@Englishbikerdan I agree with Tomer and I can't speak for him but for a new rider moving up from a Euro 3/4 compliant 4 stroke the step up in power/weight/brakes/gadgets etc on bikes is a big deal. I recall doing my Full license and being utterly amazed at how easy it was to ride a 600 because the bike would go forwards with the clutch control only, it would stop without having to squeeze for dear life on the breaks and it felt so much more stable and capable generally. features like ABS,TC etc are a complete shock to the system after moving up to a bigger bike. Its like finding out that they lied to me in sundal school and GOD actually has 2 wheels.

    A couple of questions:
Q1 - Did you try riding it at night time?? ( I believe you might get different feel just saying) Night time the lights will also look cooler..
I saw the bike in showroom (morning) I thought the headlights are very small compared to MT09/10. As long as the light clarity is good enough it's win win for everyone.
Q2 - Does this bike have Traction control??
Q3 - Does the tachometer has a signal light which nowadays flashes when gear changing is required??
Q4 - Please don't mind this I know you didn't do it in the video but
Did you experience rear seat?? Is it good enough?

I’m only 5’1, I’m looking for a smaller bike that I would feel comfortable on. Do you reckon this bike would be comfortable for my height?

It might be a bit of a stretch. Best bet is to go sit on one and see how it fits.

So you prefer this or CB300R?

I have still not ridden the 300R. Mainly as no dealer anywhere near me has one on demo. They just aren't popular here for some reason.

Looks a lot better than the old model, but I'd much rather have an SV650 for around the same price.

That's fair. It's pretty expensive for a small bike but I did enjoy it!
