  • Sondra Miu, wife of Nicolae Miu, took the stand in the Apple River stabbing trial.
She filed for divorce in March 2024. She was tubing with him on the day of the stabbing and told authorities her husband had a knife in his pocket. She was the 14th witness to testify in Miu's trial.

The prosecutor is not good because he probably knows the guy is not guilty. The defense is good. It’s up to the jury who, judging at least half the public, is too untrustworthy to rule fairly.

So...her husband walked over there twice...then his friends went to get him....and he came back with them....chaos is going on in that group her husband just left, a person is getting CPR, the police are there, but she asked no questions and nobody talked about it? What's wrong with people is most people have average intellect, which is low. These kinds of people are terrible at comprehending sentences and reading, especially when it comes to something very serious. A tell tale sign of these types of people, is the fact that they just follow along with society and do, or say trendy shit like "actual fuck', regardless of how stupid it makes them sound.

They knew who he was and wanted nothing to do with him. That is just my opinion of course but He himself testified that he had had to promise his wife that nothing was going to happen that day or she would not go on the trip with them. He eluded, several times, to things 'happening' on previous tubing trips. When asked about HIS drinking history, she said that he has two or three beers each day after work. I'd call having two or three beers after work each day the sign of an alcoholic. A beer or two maybe one day/week, or a drink before dinner? Still stretching things. I think he is a nasty drunk and people know it and happily let him wander off by himself.

You must listen to all the testimony to understand why the defendant’s ex-wife is coming off this way. The defendant was upset that no one from his group came to his assistance when he motioned for them. I’m sure she feels guilty for not realizing what was happening sooner. People have a way of processing their emotions. Her way is to put up her guard or seem without emotion. This is a way for people to deal with tragic events. Keep in mind, her whole life changed as well. The two groups of perpetrators caused so much misery. She is holding back a lot of emotion just to get thru her testimony. She had a good life with her husband until these two groups of thugs took that away from her. Please don’t penalize her. I’m sure she wished she saw her husband’s distress calls sooner. I feel sorry for what these bullies did to this man! Calling him a pedophile and basically were taunting him! Then they followed him too! If he felt his life was in danger then he has every right to defend himself! I don’t know the details because I have not been listening to all the testimony but the people who were there with the bully group are grown men at 17! The one black guy a year later at age 18 has the body of a grown man! It’s sad that people feel the need to try to make others uncomfortable and miserable and in fear! I truly believe this man protected himself and he was in fear of his life! 😢 Praying for the loss of the man who died and I’m praying that justice will prevail! Quit bullying!!!

Nick started this whole thing. He went to that group twice. He made the conscious decision to harass them. He made the decision to bring a knife while harassing them. It doesn’t matter if someone calls you hitler or a pedophile or a piece of crap. That doesn’t give you the right to escalate and stab 5 people killing 1 with intention of killing them all.

This case is the perfect example of how important it is to be CAREFUL of with whom you associate, whom you marry, whom you "party" with, and with whom you have children. Every encounter has consequences. Always THINK before you say yes to anyone. It takes a split second for things to go tragically wrong, lives ruined, lives ended. Being intoxicated in a public place, especially with strangers is NEVER a smart idea. Never. Just never.

Very eloquently put. It's too dangerous to drink in public, with strangers. Countless people's lives have been irrecovably changed forever because of this man's actions. He could have walked away at any time. I feel so sad for the victim who was murdered, his family and friends. Also, the victims who were scarred & traumatised for life, not to mention the witnesses who will never forget what they saw.
