- St. Croix County Sheriff Scott Knudson testified about his response to the Apple River stabbing, specifically the Sunrise Bridge and then the nearby park. Knudson had a brief conversation with Miu after Miu was placed in the back of a squad car but because Miu was not properly Mirandized at that moment, some of the interaction was stricken from the record. So, his testimony largely focused on law enforcement's response to the stabbing.

Do you even know what a psychopath is? The jury didn't let his twin brother take a stand, which is actually how they dehumanized Mr. Miu. We needed to hear more about his character and his past but it was not allowed. Why people react in certain way can be explained if we look at their childhood. Mr. Miu was scared and he had all right to be. That doesn't make him a psychopath. You do some serious reading on psychopaths before calling him one. He was a victim.
If that had been your elderly mother or father, I wonder how you would have reacted to a bunch of crazed teenagers trying to drown them, especially knowing your family member had had heart surgery. You need to put yourself in his shoes too. Yes, it was self defense. To me it seems that you haven't watched the whole trial.

I mean criminals in California, NYC, and these newer generations are that way. Just be upfront and say " Yeah, so what. It is what it is." I think the more upfront people are with their emotions and actions the more the elite and government will start being afraid of us because they created this world. If millions or hundreds of millions of people are getting locked up by being brash the more it will show the karma being unleashed on the elite for creating an evil system. It's been shown on TikiToki that people are fed up. They've had enough of this endless hell that was created by evil. I'm not religious, but that's what Jesus was trying to relay to people. I'm no lawyer, but... it seems to me that the prosecutor for this trial isn't doing very well and is in over his head. He fumbles through his questioning and just doesn't seem overly prepared.
Agreed. He even stopped showing the video because he must have realized it tells a very different story than the one he hopes to convince the jury of.
Regrettably I think he over charged Mr. Miu. It might have served the community better if everyone involved faced some sort of consequences for their part. Unfortunately the Prosecutor went all or nothing and it may bring he and the citizens he serves a great loss.

I think you are misinterpreting the amount of people testifying as a large amount of quality testimony. Those kids testimony is worth almost nothing, the trauma of the event makes everything shaky ground for putting any weight into it. And the reason they stopped showing the video is because the defense was wasting time asking questions about other people in the video, they would ask what is so and so doing to a witness on the stand when so and so was scheduled to appear anyway, the defense was going frame by frame asking the opinion of each person on the stand on what other people were doing, the prosecution did a tiny bit of it. The judge was having none of it and on day 2 at the end he put a stop to it and specifically pointed out the defenses fauxpas, hilariously one of the witnesses said while on the stand, "I can give you my opinion on the video." The beginning of this is all theater and means little, the prosecution has first contact on their side, and that was Miu after he was already walking away, that matter's tremendously. The prosecution will build better evidence towards the last testimony, so they are just biding their time. They are really going to harp on him stabbing that 110lbs girl while she was holding her drink, was her free unarmed hand a deadly threat?

That being said, pretty telling that all of the comments were focused on the teenagers being "punks" or annoying. Neither is against the law, totally irrelevant. @alesia912 No, there's two cases that come to mind where the person who murdered/assaulted their attacker and left the scene afterward and either hid evidence or lied to law enforcement. There's Lorena Bobbit, who was originally found not guilty on a basis of insanity, after cutting off her husband's 🍆 for years of SA. Then there's Candy Montgomery, who axed her neighbor viciously after being attacked in her own home in the early 1980s. Despite that, she spent the next week acting like she had no idea what had happened. When she was arrested and by the end of the court case, she was found not guilty as well.
Of course, staying at the scene to explain yourself is the best course of action, but as of right now, there's no obligation to have to do so.

The most important take of all this questioning of the Sheriff & his duties is that he heard the defendant ( who did all the stabbing & caused a death ) declare “ I heard there was a stabbing”! If that is not the height of callousness & guilt , I do not know what is!

@@llg3pe I think the logic is that if it was self defence then he would have stayed at the scene and said that he thought he was going to be attacked. I think he is going to have to be questioned as his not guilty plea is about his state of mind, and I will expect that he will be asked about it. I expect that he will say that he panicked.

He was grabbed first in a highly charged situation. Once you put your hands on someone in a situation like this one, survival mode can kick in. Not defending anyone, both sides were in the wrong. He was not sober. He was drunk and said as much about a minute into the police interrogation video and told LEO Hart that he had been drinking beer all day and no water. He did stab one kid and killed him ... all the others stabbed were part of the Carlson Group #2. The first two there were the two girls, Maddison and Ryhlie. Maddie was in his face yelling at him to GO! He punched her / smacked her and then Daunte, from Group #2 hit him back. He fell down from that smack and then, when he got up, AJ pushed him and got disemboweled for his action. The stabbing continued. HIM going up to these young adults and stabbing them when he could just as easily have walked away. While the defense attorney had painted the young teens as the aggressors that day, it just wasn't so. The ONLY one of that group that touched hi m was Isaac who pushed him. The still shot that the defense showed appeared to show Isaac grabbing his neck but if you watch the video, he didn't 'grab', he pushed. Mui then stabbed him ... sliced clean through two ribs and sliced his heart so he bled out right there. Then, after that, he stabbed brothers Daunte and Tony, who had come to try and shut things down. He even stabbed Tony TWICE. Tony deflected the first stab and he got it again. It shows Ryhlie being stabbed when she is looking away. He had to take several steps toward her in order to pull that one off. He was the aggressor in all of it. GUILTY as charged.

Miu confronted them, kids called him pedophile, Miu punched girl, teenagers punched him, Miu whipped out the 3 incher and went to town fileting kids.

Also in the video, the guy in the yellow shorts who was cut bad lied on the stand; his hair was NOT wet and it was not blocking his vision.

If you really have to use deadly force in self-defense, you call the police immediately. You face the situation like an innocent man who had to protect himself.
