    I love that stream. Have fished it many times. There are some very large fish in there. usually, the wind is blowing downstream right into your face ... so you got a great day. Love your videos ... love Norway - also been there many times, teaching Jiu Jitsu in Drammen. Norwegian people are very cool. Thank you.

      Thank you🙌🏼 It was insane when it took the dry fly at that shallow water! We can barely believe the good fishing we’re experiencing right not.

    Magnificent! Loved the Commando Crawl across the Rocks by that determined Kiwi Trout. Love your cinematography, explanations, and highly informative presentation. Enjoy your holiday and tight lines.

    That trout going crazy and beaching itself must be the craziest dry fly take I've ever seen, on youtube or IRL. Amazing footage! I've just arrived in New Zealand, unfortunately I'm primarily here to study and not to fish, but I'm sure I will get out there eventually. Thanks so much for making these videos.

      Thanks a lot for the nice comment! Haha, yeah that was amazing. Left me really heartbroken, but what an amazing experience! So glad Tuva filmed it all, now I can rewatch it time after time and it feels almost like I caught it! Glad you enjoyed the videos, and I hope you will enjoy the next ones!

    Great video! I really appreciate the way you are talking about breaking off fish. Avoiding this has been my number one goal for the last seasons. In 2022 I succeeded in not braking off a single fish, but as you say - it happens to as all.

      @slowrisemedia  10 місяців тому

      Thanks a lot! Yes it’s important to try to not break them off! We have great success with 0,19mm leader here for dries and nymphs down to size 14! Thanks a lot for the comment

    New Zealand is my bucket list distination, that stream looks more my speed. I am getting older and don't like the climbing anymore,

    • @slowrisemedia
      @slowrisemedia  11 місяців тому

      This stream was perfect! Like a highway walking. However very few fish, so a lot of walking was needed in the search for them

    Hi guys, nice that you are enjoying your time fishing in NZ. But a lot of us kiwis don’t like it when you advertise our rivers to the world. As when we travel hours to fish our favourite rivers and find they have been over fished by foreigners. Thanks for exploiting our rivers and I hope you enjoy the fishing.

    • @slowrisemedia
      @slowrisemedia  11 місяців тому +3

      Totally respect and understand your concerns. We try to be discreet to the level that only people who have actually fished the river will recognise it. True we might drag a couple of more fly fishermen down to your beautiful country, it’s the backside of the medal. We will make sure to advertise Norway the double when we get home!

    • @slowrisemedia
      @slowrisemedia  9 місяців тому

      Sorry about that! We try to stay discreet to a level where only people who already have been there will recognise the place. I agree we didn’t do too well with this one tho. We will be better!
