Simply awesome!! Yeah, that's how I reacted when Tuva's strike was too savage and early with the Cicada take. LOL, can't help it when adrenalin was running high with BIG fish!!
Thanks a lot for the feedback! It was a nice little change. That spring creek was amazing tho. Only two fish in it, but we made a lot out of those two!
Fantastic, glad the weather finally let up for you. I am usually that person behind the camera and I know how much you miss when you do that , so always take time to put the camera down and enjoy.
We will focus on that! We sometimes loose ourselves a bit in the moment, but we try reminding each other like you also do now. It’s a good thing, thanks a lot 😊
@@slowrisemedia I understand how easy it is to marvel in the moment! As these waters warm up and the oxygen level are depleted, it’s harder for these fish to recover. Thanks for taking good care of this magnificent resource 😉
Absolutely loving these awesome videos, superbly filmed and skilfully fished. What an amazing trip you are having. Recently returned from NZ myself and had to put some hard work in to eventually have fish to the net.
Thanks a lot! Yeah, we are so thankful for being able to fish this beautiful country. Unfortunately our jurney has soon come to an end. Hard work is definitely need to success on this island, glad to hear you pulled it of!
@@slowrisemedia I have a few more of your NZ videos to enjoy, I hope you continue to create them back in Norway. You have great skills both fly fishing and film making. All the best Tony.
Hi my friends...just come to discover your videos here in France and became fan....I planned going to NZ two years ago...but was stopped by that pandemic of COVID..but I will go one day for sure...I see mountains and suppose you live in South island...right ?
Hi! Thanks a lot for the comments! Cool to hear! I’m sorry to hear you didn’t get to go then, but I hope you will get the chance to go! We don’t live here but just visit for 3 months and currently stay on the South Island yes. Mostly in the mid South Island
That's great !!! For my own, I'll try to stay at least two months...in waiting I'm preparing my trip to your country Norway for salmon fishing on the Gaula in the beguining of June@@slowrisemedia
Well done - if there's still a lot of Caddisflies around you should also try the lower Waitaki itself during the nighttime. Propably not good for filming, but awesome action with skating Deerhair Caddis on the surface and big Rainbows!😉
@rustiefly the huntings not great but there are a few around, you've got to go further up the valley to see alright numbers. Will definitely be going back to give the fishing a crack!
so many youtubers making videos from this valley... its a special place..spent a few weeks there last year, but very much enjoyed the river fishing more than the ponds
That’s exactly the intention of these series! Thanks a lot for the nice comment! We will keep them coming all the way to spring time back in Scandinavia
This time I was watching this and thinking it is strange that those trout live in those swamps and dirty ditches. Somehow, it ruins your vision that brown trout live in that clear water. But you know if I could catch at least one of those fish you got I would dive into any of those shit mud holes.
Such good footage looks like you had a good few days 👏👍
Thank you! We really enjoy our time here😊
Wow! How good is that there are still such a places on Earth! Thank you for beautiful scenes!
I agree! It’s more of them than we think!
I love fishing for the educated browns in those tarns. It great that you show NZ is not all about rivers
Yeah! That fishing was really a lot of fun!
Simply awesome!! Yeah, that's how I reacted when Tuva's strike was too savage and early with the Cicada take. LOL, can't help it when adrenalin was running high with BIG fish!!
Haha, that’s how it goes some times! Happens to all of us 😅
That rod is so weird looking. Oh, yeah, massive fish, beautiful scenery. Amazing!
arctic silver look them up , iv had a cast with one of these they are awesome
You can't get better than that! You certainly deserve some Award for your cinematography, presentation, and purely delightful passion for the sport.
What an incredible nice compliment! So glad to read that you like it! Those comments makes us want to keep on going!
Have loved following you along your adventure.
Thanks a lot for the comment! It’s been a pleasure ☺️
Stunning amount of big fish!Great episode as all the previous! Love that this episode was more casual, but yet content rich!👌
Thanks a lot for the feedback, appreciate it! That was a crazy trip 🙌
Another excellent vid. The "swamp hole"/"ditch" is a tarn, albeit a small one!
Thanks a lot! A much needed word in our vocabulary! And thanks for the support too!
great video again. super fish 😎👌👍
Thanks a lot!
Thanks again. I really enjoyed this style of video. It was good to get the commentary and the set up for the video clip. And that spring creek.....

Yeah that was about time! True, even though both fishing and filming is fun it is also nice to put the camera away sometimes, agree
A lovely first fish …. Please release them quickly and as efficiently as possible. You sure are having a ball in the South Island. Great to see 👍👍👍

I have recently come across your channel. Huge trout and breathtaking scenery in the last episode.
Thanks a lot for that! Hope that you enjoy it and will keep doing so on our future adventures!
fantastic filming. Thanks for taking the effort.

Thanks a lot for the advice. Caddis hatches at night is exactly what we’re used to from Norway. We’ll definitely see if we can try that. Thanks☺️
@@slowrisemedia try at Kurow-tight lines!
Love the big trout videos. Beautiful scenery. Found you planning my trip to New Zealand. What areas have you visited?
Thanks a lot! Very cool! I I’m glad you will get the experience to visit this incredible place. So far just south of Christchurch!
looks incredible! Is this north or south island ? Looks south and beautiful !!
Thank you! This is from the South Island☺️ Really stunning
hunted here a bunch of times but I didn't released the brown fishing was so good, might have to pop back and give it a crack
Haha, you definitely have to! I didn’t realise hunting was good! Keep looking around the hillsides but don’t see much life

Sikle sikle sikle 🤤 Kul episode :D
Hit skal du! Basta!
for big fish I use nymph hooks to tie dry flies
Thanks a lot for that advice! I will try! I will definitely try in the next episode we film. Will probably be around episode 16 or so when published!

It’s an amazing valley! Absolutely! And a place with insane fish numbers so it seems to handle the pressure quite well! We enjoy both!
Lovely😍 Why do you get so few rainbow trouts?
Thank you! We simply don’t fish where there is a lot of them. But in episode 11 you will see plenty!
Super 🤗
Thanks a lot!
WHICH KIND OF DID YA USE?
What kind of what? What?
This is pure porn for a flyfishing person, I'm an addict and it's helping me true this dark time of year! Thanks a lot for those film's 🙏😍

The funny thing Alex, this fish belong to the clearest most spectacular river you have ever seen, but they move up there to feed!
