    I love your work, fly fishing evolution and doing the thing I should have done!
    Worst of all however, I have evoke smitten by your partner, the Viking Goddess!
    I shall be thinking of you both when I go to see Eivor in November! 🥰
    Keep on trucking and making us see how beautiful life can be ✌️🥳💪

    Yes you're right that if they're leaping out of the water like that they will be taking damsels or dragons. Am enjoying your trip, you guys are catching some great fish.

      Thanks a lot for the info! Last year we were fishing rainbows in a lake in BC Canada and they jumped like that, but to get rid of lice. But I believe you that here it is due to damsel/dragons

    Nice footage. I like the releasing style. Too often I see: holding the fish dry + talking, talking, talking BEFORE releasing. Not here in this video. Here is quick release first and then talking. Well done both of you! Good catches in your future! 👌💪💯

    You guys are having a great time down there!
    I only just noticed the handles on the flyrods are different to cork handles that I'm used to. What make are the rods you guys use? Look interesting.
    Cheers

      Hi, and thanks for the comment! The company is called Arctic Silver Flyfishing. It’s based out of Norway. The handle is hollow, so the rod bends inside the handle. Pretty neat, and it gives the rod an unique feeling when casting and fighting. Go check it out!

      @@slowrisemedia Thanks, I will! Yes I was guessing it was to allow the butt of the rod to move inside the handle there. Some outstanding footage/slow-mo too. Looking forward to following the rest of the trip. Tight lines :)

      Hi! Sorry for the late comment, we have been far out of phone service the last couple of days. The brand is called arctic silver. And the model is called Fonna. We prefer the 6wt but we use the 5wt from time to time too! We like to carry two rods, and if we had two 6wt we would probably just use those

    Er imponert over filmingen deres, helt nydelig. Jeg og en kompis skal til Omarama til helgen, og skal være i området i 3 uker. Håper vi også får noen fine dager der. Dette er vår 6. tur til området, og vi trives der. Den første turen vår var i 1985, så vi begynner å dra på årene 😁

    I'm pretty sure that net has a scale incorporated in the handle.

    • @slowrisemedia
      @slowrisemedia  9 місяців тому +2

      Hey! Thanks for the comment. This is one of them without scale. McLean sell them both with and without. Me and Tuva have owned at least 5 of them over the years, and the scale is most often wrong, or gets wrong over time. Therefore we use a digital weight instead
