I was at a restaurant with my family last year and I witnessed a tall Chad sit at a table next to us, all dressed up, obviously waiting for his date, he sat there for like 15mins before he walked out from being ghosted. Mine was like 35 in the first 2 hours on bumble in NY. then it tapered down to 10 per hour. At the end of the week until I subscribed to it got like 2 per hour. And by that time we've created some sort of an emotional connection, albeit superficial and this helped a lot. When you've already invested emotionally in someone even if they don't look the best, you're much more likely to go out on a date with them.

Firstly I made a profile like a normal person, with normal pictures. in 7 days no matches.
Then I made another profile with the pictures of same day as before, same clothes same person but a nice BMW under the me. Got 8 matches in 3 hours .
Guys don't go on these apps, it's just f*ing waste of time and value.

Thing is the apps have changed drastically since before COVID. Before 2019 it was pretty good, i'm not a bad looking guy and on Tinder I used to get about 7 or 8 matches a week with swiping once every 3 or 4 days, i'd miss out on quite a few women who swiped me as well as I wasn't interested. Bumble was much better, it'd be maybe 5-15 a week depending how active I was, but the quality was far higher than tinder and way more of them actually spoke, most Tinder matches never speak or can't manage more than one word replies.
Since COVID started it's tanked, we are talking 1 match on Tinder every week or two and they are all incapable of speaking or holding a conversation, Bumble was still better at maybe 1 or 2 a week until i got banned for saying to a woman that i'm not putting pronouns in my profile as it's nonsense. Unfortunately i'm looking for a proper woman so i'm not putting anything that'll attract gold diggers to increase matches, it's futile.
I was in 2 asian countries last year, one of them is an advanced country with people who don't actually want to leave. I used both apps in major cities and in smaller ones and the apps became almost unusable as every day it was 300+ likes and when you swiped pretty much anyone you swiped yes to was an instant match, problem is the conversations all got buried, in the poorer country many of them were using translator apps to speak to and actually didn't speak English so you'd meet and it would be awkward as hell. I think the problem is North America, Canada/USA where I live, something has changed here with online dating.
I'm Asian Australian from Melbourne. I had tinder for years and literally did not get a single date out of it, and maybe 20 matches. I didnt use it much, but enough to know it was pretty pointless. Then when I travelled to South America and tried it for fun I was getting quite a few matches (I'd say I'm average looking). So there's that too. I remember in the old days of okc I had a rough 'rule' that for every 100 likes I'd get 10 matches, and of those maybe 1 date. So 1 in 100. If this dude is getting 3 dates from 16k thats wild. If I was a woman he'd seem pretty attractive to me.

The thing that kept me on Tinder for a long time is that between 2014 - 2017 I had a really significant experience on Tinder, not only with more matches but also significant chats and dates, and my profile photos looked worse than today, my bio was worse, I was a worse conversation starter than today, and still I got good results! From 2017 on the experience nosedived noticeably and I could say the pandemic was coffin nails. My theory is that Tinder worked great for first adopters because of lower competition, and as the amount of guys increased exponentially, even above average guys got obliterated.
As someone who didn’t get on tinder until 2022 and find a girlfriend after 2 months my theory at least what I think is that it’s easier in rural areas than it is in the big cities. I don’t consider myself a chad, no hollow cheeks and lack the jawline chads have yet I was still able to achieve success on tinder. I come from Montana a rural American state, the gender demographics aren’t even favorable in my town (52% Male 47% Female) but i was able to get a girlfriend. I feel as if I was from the city rather than rural Montana I would be like everyone else in the comments.

So, for those of us 'average honest males' what is the alternative? For some reason it's still not known to the general public that if you're not deemed desirable by the app's algorithm, they give you a low ELO score which basically shadow bans your profile. You're not ugly, just literally nobody ever sees your profile. What this also means is that at that point buying boosts doesn’t help. It doesn’t show your profile to x amount of people, it shows your profile like 10x more than usual. 10x0 is still 0 tho.

I think Tinder is something that actually has an influence on today's world in terms of relationship, fertility rates, demography and more. Because of how it works and what it promotes, many hearts have been broken. Sure, many people got married as well, that's true. I tried it with some dating apps. I'm 6'4, skinny, had long blonde hair, lived in a small town but had my radar on for big cities close by. The only two "dates" I got were with a single mom, freshly broken out of a relationship and dumb as a loaf of toast and a 22 year old who was a highschool dropout and I meet neither more than twice. I stopped using these apps, found a girlfriend and realized, after that relationship went to shits, that talking to people, rather than texting or just showing my face, is my key. Yeah, I feel the "self-inflation" of attractiveness is definitely a big part. Even without makeup, it's a commonly known and well-researched phenomenon - people will tend to rate themselves higher than average (usually 7/10), even if they are perfectly average or under-average.
If it makes you feel better though, parts of this video that are inherently misleading or straight-up wrong if you understand how human perception works.
The subject is quite average in terms of looks. There's a lot of research done on this topic, but the fact is that if you think someone is "just above average" they are probably just average. And I don't think everything else is particularly impressive either - the only *real* strength he has is his tall height, and that is even offset by some of the other profile points that make him less approachable. No offense to your friend, but it seems like he is as average as can be (which is normal), so it is only to be expected that he isn't getting tons of girls on these dating apps. In an environment where there are many more girls than guys, it makes sense that girls are more "choosy" and your average male isn't getting many hits. It's simply logical - he's not as "good" as the video makes him out to be, and being perfectly average on a dating app usually doesn't cut it.

I've used Tinder, Bumble, and another dating app and almost always are they never long-term. If you get a match and you meet up, most likely the match will be short-lived, having no purpose and clueless as to what both sides came there for. Tinder and most other dating apps actually lower men's self-esteem and objectifies women in the process as we swipe for hours. It is far healthier to get outside in the real world to meet a woman and gain social skills, as Wheat Waffles mentioned, than it is to waste time and hope that we get a '"good match". Women should not be our priority if we are single. Focus on yourself and the women will start to come.

Based on your results you will not live long enough, it will take hundreds of years, its effectively impossible.
For me, a suitable match will be 1 out of a 100 based on random chance. The apps give you no way to know who they are until you physically meet, hence its random chance. It will take two to four of those 1 out of a 100 for it to develop into an actual high-quality relationship.
So, you’re into the millions of swipes. There is not enough time, its mathematically impossible. You are more likely to get hit by lightning, perhaps more than once. Really anything is better than the dating apps. Waking around the block, taking the trash out, anything where you can meet physical people is orders of magnitude better than the apps.
Modern dating is getting to the point where all you can really do is looksmaxx best you can and hope someone takes an interest in you. Women have such absurd abundance and so much access to Chad that any kind of dating strategy is a joke.

dating apps are only for one night stands or casual sex, long term relationship no, all the dates I had on tinder or hinge end up having sex, going getting drunk and then going to hotel for sex and never nothing serious.
I'm a chad-lite and I had about 600 matches on my tinder in a couple weeks which only resulted in about 25 dates, could have been a bit more but it shows how even a few matches a day is nowhere near as viable as it may seem

Great video! It is exactly how it is, I have no chance at online dating even if I do not look so bad and have a good education, it is just waste of time and money. For women it is a lot easier, even women with children find even without a photo a guy in one day, if they want.

Thank you. I'll never use these apps. I'm average. I've slept with sixteen women in my life and met none of them on dating apps. I'm now a father to my little girl, and have equal parental rights despite not being in a relationship with the mother. I consider myself very lucky with such massive odds stacked against men in the modern world.

For the most part, i've found dating apps to be a waste of time and money for men. I am somewhat luckier than a lot of people. I'm shy, autistic and awkward as hell. After months of swiping with zero results, i finally matched with a very forward/aggressive girl and went on a few dates. She ended up giving me my first kiss 5 weekends later, and took my V card the following week. This kind of story is VERY rare, and i feel like i may as well have won the lottery. I don't expect it to happen again.
