Her confidence level is amazing, and that's why the performance is so good. Being confident even when not perfect is such an asset for any performance I feel.

Lizzo has done amazing things for my confidence. Someone that has the same body as I do wearing the same type of outfits as other divas and being a boss bitch just...idk. She's just such an inspiration. 😊

Yes she doesn't sing everything perfect. But it doesn't manner because her performance is everything. She has the audience in the palm of her hand the whole time. Now if she works on her voice she will be unstoppable. I watched this performance so many times because it was fun. I have seen people sing every note perfect but I was bored it wasn't entertaining they didn't make a flute appear out of the air. So performance is very important.

This was a great reaction. Lizzo is a very diverse singer, and I LOVE her body confidence and self-love movement. She is a great role model. I absolutely love what you said at the end about warming up. Understanding what vowel you would like to sing during a song is key to a good performance. She definitely has a great foundation and support. I also agree that her legato lines have great energy, and she is a great performer.
It's interesting to watch her live because I always feel like she almost would rather riff on the song and focus on visual, movement, and other aspects of performance that genuinely enhance the track over nailing the song vocally in its entirety. It's quite clear that this is far more a choice than a need, considering she has the voice and capability. Bringing into it a more consistent vocal performance and tying it more neatly together would definitely strengthen the whole feel, for sure.

It's an earworm though. I think the song was sung with a LOT of emotion and that might result in the irregularities in her voice. It's kinda like when you are annoyed with someone and you are "yelling" at them, the emotion you feel makes your voice vary and sometimes even tremble. I'm not a voice coach so maybe I'm full of poop but the song gets stuck in my head all day long. I think it was a little bit of an in your face performance with a bit of comedy thrown in. I liked the way you broke it down but I kinda think that the mood (not sure if that the right word to describe what I mean) of the song is not that serious.

There's only two classically trained singers, the other two are a small theater musical actor and... an engineer, respectively. He's the one who sang the highest notes in both songs! I am super impressed with him, especially considering he wasn't active in music scene AT ALL before 2018. I would love to hear your analyzation of their techniques.
