    I respect you guys very very much after watching this video. You totally understand that when you see something very beautiful in nature you don't just catch it and eat it. You allowed it to return back to its home. It was a very beautiful thing that you did when you released the trout back into the lake.

    Well done. To all the people complaining about handling the fish: The fish wouldn't fit through the whole. It had to be squeezed through. It's the only way to handle a monster fish in those conditions. Oh, and he didn't actual grab it by the gills, he was holding it by that boney area that covers the gills.

    • @ryansolveson4989
      @ryansolveson4989 8 років тому

    i am not a fisheman so please excuse my silly question but but i do wonder how a small fine line as shown could hold a fish that big without breaking and so with the clear ice he was on which seemed to be too thin to hold his weight? thanks for sharing by the way.

    Just wondering how you kept the water out of the shelter. I went today with about 4 inches of crystal clear ice but the hole was just filling the floor with water. I didnt know if there was a trick. That ice is great! Nothing like seeing your catch come up from the depths! Great catch what a monster!

    @JigHeadsTV Thanks for the info! On our Striped Bass (in RI) we have small parasites we call sea lice, too, but they are small copeopods that look like little tiny Horseshoe Crabs. I'm curious what those were on that Laker. Again, though, congrats on a HUGE fish!!
