You're a true fisherman man! Most ppl would keep a catch like that but you let the beautiful fish go! Its Good to see that people like you and your friends are out there respecting nature.
Much props to you my friend for the catch and release..... Takes a true fisherman to do such a thing. You respect life and I respect you... good job, great video.
@JigHeadsTV , this is by far the best fishing video I have ever seen. The video quality , the excitement , THE FISH !!!! , amazing stuff you guys. Very well done.
The 'Catch and Release' was as Incredible.. as the 'Catch Itself' ! Great Job Guys !! Saving the Resources for the Next Generation.. Very Impressive !!
I respect you guys very very much after watching this video. You totally understand that when you see something very beautiful in nature you don't just catch it and eat it. You allowed it to return back to its home. It was a very beautiful thing that you did when you released the trout back into the lake.
Thank you SO much for letting that amazing fish go. Catch and release is the best way to go!!!! The entire video I was hoping you let it go at the end. Good job!
1st off....magnificent fish!!!!!! Also, what i loved the most about the video is ur enthusiasm!!!!! You are a true fisherman....last nov. i caught a 20+lb brown in wa st.....i sounded just like you....especially after he came to the surface the 1st. time!!!!! And better yet.....you let ur fish of a lifetime go, just like i did mine!!! Congrats..!!!!!
excellent job guys, most people get major egos after a big fish, you guys seem hella cool, think i want my first ice fishing excperience to be with you guys
good vid from some exited canadians which i give mad props to for not cussing the whole vid and using those funny phrases like "HOLY BUCKETS!!!!" and "THIS THING IS A HOG" good vid, great fish.
great catch! my first time Ice Fishing was up in Grantsburg, WI - Big Wood Lake. I'd never caught Bass before - so my first catch was a 6lb Large Mouth - that was one of my best days fishing!
This is a great video, congratulations guys for catching that amazing fish! Hate to say it, but there's a very small chance that fish actually survived the ordeal. Should have kept it and had it mounted, no shame in that!
Absolutely fantastic fish. Sincere congrats. Way bigger than my 20-pounder. I do hope it made it, though, as that was some rough handling. Beautifully clear ice, by the way.
That was awesome..I think my hands were shaking just watching....Woulda been nice to get a weight on her....Kudos to you for releasing that Fish... Takes a lot of class to do that....
Well done. To all the people complaining about handling the fish: The fish wouldn't fit through the whole. It had to be squeezed through. It's the only way to handle a monster fish in those conditions. Oh, and he didn't actual grab it by the gills, he was holding it by that boney area that covers the gills.
Well done lads!!! what a fantastic fish!! Your sporting guys for returning it back safe, great to see.. Why dont you use a rod next time, save cutting ya fingers up!
good guy,s those are the best breaders large like that you are going to give back alot to the lake trouts it was well put back nice boys very good handling cool happy for you..
Respect for this fisherman and he got hurt for sure from cold and the line cutting his fingers (little silly..;-) ) ; truly happy such a beauty was released unharmed again. Awsome !
@JigHeadsTV Thanks for the info! On our Striped Bass (in RI) we have small parasites we call sea lice, too, but they are small copeopods that look like little tiny Horseshoe Crabs. I'm curious what those were on that Laker. Again, though, congrats on a HUGE fish!!
This is the most Canadian video I'll see all day.
they're not Canadian they're yoopers
They're Wisconsin Boys
Except for DUDE. He must be close to the border..
Best ice fishing video of all time.

great and all but do you usually have to release back huge fish you catch?
Why would you keep it?
Chandler Hall
cause they are delicious
It's likely female so keeping the population going is important, and they don't taste as good the smaller fish.
Chandler Hall A trophy?
watch the entire video, they did.
