My dad actually showed this to me when it was new, it was one of his favorites. He passed away recently, and watching this just reminded me of that moment.. watching this guy dance and laughing with Dad. Cherish those close to you, everyone. And cherish these years if you're still a teenager. If you would have told me when i first saw this video that 14 years later i would watch this and cry afterwards. I am 32 now. I miss old UA-cam before people took it seriously. Back in the early days of UA-cam people would just upload videos like this one. Now it’s all clickbait and people desperately trying to get views because youtube is their job...
It happens to everything that grows beyond a small handful of people. Think of our government, career politicians didn't exist two hundred years ago. The men who set it up had their own work to tend to for the rest of the year.
Every media follows the same route. TV used to be genuine, look at 80s talk shows and you'll see their more laid back and less fake. UA-cam used to be more real. Now I think the equivalent of layed back media is social media, instagram and tiktok for example are more honest mediums that havent yet been ruined by the inevitable capitalist detriment where money and popularity supercedes the genuine

No one was making any money, so it was just a bunch of random home videos. Then Justin Bieber - Baby came along, and we FREAKED OUT! Then you had Ray William Johnson and Philip DeFranco make a career out of it... It was crazy watching UA-cam evolve in real time. I do get nostalgic for those days, BUT I don't miss waiting for videos to buffer.

The quality sucked at times but when the videos were made with love and for the sakes of having fun instead of promoting a tv show, album or whatever will make the person money.
