I get in, start the car and don't know if I'm going to make it around the block. Glad you liked the airbag video. We were gonna blow another one last weekend, but the weather wasn't right for it. The pump can not cause vacuum issues. The fault code points to an electrical / wiring issue. If the wiring is it could be a faulty part / pump. New or used pump? What brand?
@@Ty0_5 Year, make, model, engine? To measure resistance of the fuel pump pressure regulator solenoid... you don't need coils screwed down. You don't need ignition on. What's the resistance?

And theres volt getting into the maf n hpfp . Unfortunately only 4volt getting to those sensor instead 12-14v . Please help me im dead end
Certain engine components only receive a 5v power signal. You'll need to check a wiring diagram to determine which get 12v or 5v. The pressure regulator (2 wire) is most likely 12v. A 3 or 4 wire sensore is usually 5v, but the maf could have a 12v power supply (I would also have to check). "Open circuit" fault codes usually are due to broken wires. Blown fuses, if the fault is "open or short to ground".
Love your videos man! I have a 2007 Passat FSI with the same problem. Used to have a P2295, P0243 and P0030. Got rid of all that by changing the HPFP, follower and thrust sensor but now I have a P2294... Checked the wiring and seems to be ok. Can it be a faulty low pressure pump? The control module was replaced on the recall.
Got a low pressure sensor code, same code same engine, replaced the sensor because I thought the old one was faulty as the reading was stuck at 13 bar, just wanted to know if there's a relay? Coil mightve shorted out.
The Engine Component Power Supply Relay feeds power to a 15A fuse, that then feeds power to this solenoid and 4 other components. A blown fuse will set "short to ground" faults for those components. If you do not have any short to ground faults, then that fuse is OK. Ignition ON, the green/yellow wire should have battery voltage. If it does not, check the 15A fuse in the E-Box.
What should the resistance be for the n276, and what should I be reading for voltage at the connector, don’t want to go replacing wires and sensors if I don’t know which is broke
Service manuals are a great source for information... I just checked: - 1.5 to 11 ohm (at around 20c) - ignition ON, terminal 1 to ground (of the 2 terminal connector): battery voltage. Read the video description, click the link to where you can download service manuals.
Ended up being the 276, couldn’t find an oem sensor without buying a new pump so I ended up ordering a $40 Chinese part off Amazon that works awesome. Thank you!
+Laron Williams The important part is the connector... when the dealer splices wiring, they use yellow wires for all wires. If you are removing a connector from a used engine (same as yours), then yes, connector & wiring will be the same.
thx again your very helpful. last question. I'm experiencing this p2294 low idol on cold starts mainly. (not know anything about cars) when I cut the car off after warming the car disconnected the p2294 high press reg and started back up the car came on no hard start at all. is that normal?
With the regulator valve disconnected, the engine will run but have low power. Solve p2294 first and then look for other things if it continues: wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/18726/P2294/008852
Thanks for the video! On my 2006 A6 C6 3.2L I have changed my HPFP and HP fuel sensor and this p2294 code is still popping up. I will go ahead and recheck the connector and wires and look for breaks. If that comes clean, is there a relay that needs to be checked. Other threads have talked about a J757 power supply relay, but I can find info on where this is.
P2294 points to an "electrical problem" according to code description (Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve (N276): Open Circuit)... not a mechanical problem. It is not going to be a relay / fuse problem, since there are other sensors that also get power from the same source (I'd have to check a wiring diagram to be sure what items that would be). If it were a power supply issue, then there would be codes for the other sensors as well.
@@EXOVCDS thanks for the reply. I will update you soon to what I find. Btw, good luck with the Bimmers, I also wn a 98 740il and a 95 530i, luv em and love working on them, keeping them alive!
@@certifiedbrokanic If the ECM can not control / raise fuel pressure (due to a fault with the fuel pressure regulator), then the engine will only be able to run on LOW fuel pressure from the low pressure pump... which is not enough pressure for regular engine power, hence... the low power / driveability issue / EPC / ESP warning. Fix P2294 and you will have power again.
@@EXOVCDS you were dang right. My plug to the hpfp was cracked and falling apart when I pulled it from below the pump. I will splice in a new connector. I didnt notice this when i replaced the hpfp, but this does have a bad connecting angle on the plug and the wire is tight. Thanks again!
