    I found, doing the 17mm flair nut, on the HP line, was much easier to thread, using my left hand, standing by the passenger side leaned over. It may have been a 1 time thing but, the line and nut, were aligned and tightened quick, just by feel. Great vid. Going to do mine again soon.

    Did this job yesterday, for the 2nd time, @ 15,000 miles. So thankful for your vid. I bought the stud conversion kit with nuts, instead of getting new bolts, which tend to strip out the body threads due to wear etc... The follower was missing the black coating but not concave, or excessive scoring. The problem with the new stud kit is, the pump wont fit over the studs, unless you remove the thrust sensor, 1st, when the pump is on the engine. I didn't have a vice. Also I found, removing the brake vacuum tube from the firewall, creates a good amount of space. Thanks again.

    Thanks for putting together this great video, really useful cheeres. My attempt at this was going well, getting the banjo bolt out wasn't so hard with the correct extension bar etc...I used a 'wobble head ' - but very tight to move around the engine space. Lost one of my socket bits whilst doing the job so couldn't get the pump bolts off. Bah !! - Will try again when I get new socket. Torque settings are approx. : 3 High pressue pump bolts = 9nm - Banjo bolt = 17nm - Fuel supply line ( the 17mm bolt ) = 17nm - avoid over tighting don't over do it. - in the end I didn't use a torque wrench it was fine. Update - Job now complete, went well, runs well.

    Thanks for the video, I have a A4 b7 2.0t with about 200k miles. I’ve got your stage 2 tune along w several other mods. How often do you recommended replacing the cam follower?

    Question, can you do the HPFP upgrade before doing the Low Pressure (in tank)? I have a feeling I need to replace the Cam follower soon and planning ahead. I was thinking while I was at it I might as well upgrade it. Also appreciate your tutorial on the in tank upgrade!

    I installed a new fuel pump , but when i started the engine, it started to leak fuel drops from the banjo bolt fitting. I removed it and put it back again but it still leaking from there. Is there supposed to have some kind of washers or what am i doing wrong?. Thank you

    • @JHMotorsportsInc
      @JHMotorsportsInc  3 роки тому +1

      I would inspect the threads on the hardware. many of the fittings are brass and the threads can easily be damaged from over torquing.

    • @salmanomar97
      @salmanomar97 6 років тому +2

      I would just replace it every 25k miles. You dont want it to ruin the camshaft, so if you havent done it or dont know when its been done, just replace it if you can.

    Can you help me with this fault code. replaces the sensor, voltage on the three terminals check out, but at 1/4 throttle car seems to run ok but halfway to wot car falls on it face. Someone suggested a clogged exhaust system which Ill check tomorrow but I think it might be the transmission although no codes are thrown via Ross_tech besides the one below:
    1 Fault Found:
    000400 - Fuel Pressure Sensor (G247)

      I know the post is old but might help other people. If your car is 2007 or older you don't. If it's 2006 there's a 50:50 chance depending if you have early vin or late vin.
