I got all those codes but had other stuff replaced like Oxygen sensor and PCV valve. Cleaned MAF sensor and lightly cleaned the throttle body without removing it. The codes went away but still have the same problem. I am replacing the h.p. fuel pump and cam follower myself soon. 163k miles on Audi A4 so I'm sure everything is wearing down fast at the same time.
FYI... If you have the later revision with the hose, instead of the banjo bolt, you don't need to remove the hose in order to replace the cam follower! I wish I had known that before spending my weekend screwing with that god awful spring clip!

So there is enough space to pull out the fuel pump to inspect and or replace the Cam follower with out disconnecting the high pressure hose at the bottom?

Awesome so is there a certain way the cam follower should go? And does the Audi A4 2.0T 2007 have more than 1 fuel pump?
Is the location for a Q5 identical? I haven’t looked at it, but my daughter is complaining of a fuel smell and a local mechanic is saying: a fuel pump replacement is required. From the quote, i can tell he’s asking higher then expected.
What’s a good place to purchase a pump other then the dealer?

I bought the stud conversion kit with nuts, instead of getting new bolts, which tend to strip out the body threads due to wear etc... The problem with the new stud kit is, the pump wont fit over the studs, unless you remove the thrust sensor, 1st, when the pump is on the engine. I didn't have a vice. Also I found, removing the brake vacuum tube from the firewall, creates a good amount of space
Had hard time , puting back hard fuel line back , my spanner just didn't want to hug , to tighten it...too fat😅 very well explained tutorial
Does the new pump come with both electrical sensors, or just the black one on top?

The last six months plus my 2.0 tfsi better have misfires, stuttering and 1-2 second power losses codes came up P0087 and P1093 I've suggested to mecanic about camshaft lobe or cam follower or high pressure fuel pump.

It is seems like very easy to install fuel pump but where is the fuel pressure regulator located in the pump or outside of the fuel pumps?
The fp regulator is the brass part that connects to the hard fuel line
were can i order the earlier virsion high pressure fuel pump i have the 1 with the banjo bit fitting
Removing the rubber hose with a screwdriver is a bit risky but nice video.
I broke the bolts that hold it in place what is the name of the part the fuel pump actually attaches to? Thinking of replacing it

hi, i have audi a4 b7 2.0t fsi s-line. I have the following problem eror code (p2293 fuel pressure regulator 2) and two p0087 fuel rail/system pressure too low. The engine runs very poorly. what is the problem?
Also, you do not have to remove the hose on the HPFP if you have that style, the pump should just pull out enough to change out that cam follower.

And 1 a auto pars thanks for the video but it would be better you put fault codes in your description or search perimeters as I've been searching for this type of video for ages and your video did not come up it was randomly suggested to me via utube without me searching for it when I needed it.
How does one test high pressure fuel pump if there is no seen shows of damage to pump?
Shouldn't you just change out the follower as a precaution instead of having to check it every 20k? Is there a synthetic oil that helps prevent this?
+John Be Bad You can absolutely do that, but it is not necessary to do so. There is no oil or lubricant that helps prevent this item from normal wear and tear. 1aauto.com

Just a question, have you encountered any situation where HPFP is faulty and car doesn’t start and spark plugs gets flooded . I took my car to 2 mechanics but no resolution yet. Can faulty HPFP sends more fuel than required and not let engine to start instead get it flooded. Look to your reply,
+786hunzavalley Thanks for watching! A faulty HPFP can definitely cause your engine to not start. Even it it did start it would not run very well, and the pump would need to get replaced right away. 1aauto.com
1A Auto Parts thanks for your reply. So you can confirm that faulty HPFP can cause engine flooding, there were 2 codes just before this non start issue. p2293 & p3008 when engine running. P3008 was due to big vacuum leak,. But p2293 never came back after deleting all codes and car also didn’t start. I removed HPFP , everything seems ok visually , everything intact, no fuel leak from spring side, cam follower in decent condition. THIS IS 12 years old car, and HPFP is genuine , which came with car. Replacement should be due I guess. Just wanted to know that engine flooding can be caused by HPFP. Few people told me online that faulty ECU also causes overfueling & engine flooding. Thanks for your help.

If you can help me or advice!? I have audi a8 4.2l 2008 model. I have problem with starting a vehicle (not always) after driving a while ,after about 20 30 km . Once I shut it down, and come back to start it again after 10-15min, engine will start ,and once I go ,after few meters engine stops by itself. Then I open the bonet ,pour water on high pressure fuel pump, going back inside ,and vehicle will start normally. Until next turning off. I've changed pump, fuel sensor on pump, few connectors... but it happens again. Please for help!

@@1AAuto hi so i first got a p0089 code and after that code i got a p0171 from running to lean so it seems like it could be the fuel filter/fuel pressure regulator causing these issues. am i correct that this could possibly be the issue?

+michael miranda P0089 usually means there is an issue with the fuel pressure regulator system, and does not necessarily mean you need that part. Where would the Schrader valve Connect to
Doesn’t connect to anything. It’s a pressure relief valve.
Can you help me with this fault code. replaces the sensor, voltage on the three terminals check out, but at 1/4 throttle car seems to run ok but halfway to wot car falls on it face. Someone suggested a clogged exhaust system which Ill check tomorrow but I think it might be the transmission although no codes are thrown via Ross_tech besides the one below:

@@1AAuto I did manage to fux the car. One of the pins in the new Hign Pressure sensor was bent for some reason which made it hard to clip. Went to the dealer to pick one up for the G247 code and supposedly both high and low pressure sensors fall under that code and the parts guy gave a the low sensor. During inspection of the to sensors is when I noticed that a pin was bent. I straightened it out, put it back in, run VCDS, cleared the code which didnt want to dissapear and then took the car for a test drive and you could tell the difference. Are runs and shifts perfectly.

Audi turns on for 30 minutes then turn off , have to wait 30 minutes so it can turn on . Anyone else have same problem?
