It comes from them taking racist African American Studies courses in college that tell them they can't be racist because they're historically disenfranchised and don't have power. It ignores reality, and misses the fact that their degree in African American studies is itself racist.

NBA players USED to hate their rivals, now they are all a fraternity, and you see very few actual players or teams dislike each other. It does happen, but its not nearly like it used to be, where teams and players actually despised each other. I don't think it was any better or worse, it is just different now.

Former WNBA players and present WNBA players should not be giving bad comments towards any lady college players coming into the draft, it took a long time to build the recognition and to get to sponsorship for the WNBA let alone ladies college basketball and all I hear and see is ladies bashing their own sport so dumb Clark and Reese are going to make the WNBA better more viewers for sure... you should be supporting these young ladies and the league

Women believe in egalitarianism to a fault and especially amongst themselves. They’ve always hated on college players so it’s not just her being white although it’s impossible to ignore her largely white fan base and their sentiments, which isn’t her fault. The fan base and her playing style being perimeter based and more exciting just makes the hate more noticeable because there wasn’t as big of a target or fan base on Brianna Stewart, Maya Moore, Dianna T, etc. The older players in the WNBA also REFUSE TO RETIRE so it’s damn near impossible for young players to bring the college fame and excitement surrounding them to the league with them. They come in and either don’t perform or don’t get playing time right away, which then kills all the interest and momentum they could have brought.
