I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more unlikable group of people than the wnba , you lose money every year, you spend your time complaining and your games are unanimously called boring. Then this phenom caitlin comes in brings eyes to your sport, brings money, brings charisma and unquestionable talent. Your first response is to tear her down immediately. They should close the wnba and make them earn it, any other league that loses money like that would close down. No one is stupid enough to keep dumping money on a sinking ship. I attended two games in Charlotte when they had a WNBA Team. The stands were 90 percent empty and the game was very boring. I never went back and haven't watched a game since. I will watch WNBA games with Caitlin Clark playing because frankly she's very exciting to watch and is full of charisma on the court.

I've never considered watching the WNBA. I'm not even an NBA fan, just a casual basketball watcher for men's college ball. I will absolutely watch pre-season WNBA for Caitlin. LFG.
I can't believe that despite hearing all of these negative sentiments from current/former WNBA players, I am still genuinely excited to actually follow CC's career and by proxy her team's as well.
She's able to bring someone like myself, a South-East Asian that has never watched the WNBA (let alone US Women's college basketball) to be genuinely interested in this side of the sport.
