Neither did Steph, KD, Embiid, Harden Kyrie, Shaq, Wilt, Jerry West, Oscar Robertson, Akeem Olajuwon, Dr. J... the list of legendary players who never won a college championship is far too long to put in a single post. 😂 The last time I checked, basketball was a team sport. Michael Jordan wasn't able to win a championship until Pippen came along. You need a cast of great players on your team to win championships. Basketball schools like Uconn, South Carolina, Tennessee always had the best college recruits. When you have stacked teams, Championships are easier to come by. Iowa doesn't have the deep talent as schools like Uconn.

Breanna Stewart and other people keep saying this championship thing, but that's just bullshit. Championships rarely mean anything other than you went to a stacked college program. Now if she took a team that had 0 basketball history, with players who weren't top tier talent and won a bunch of times with that team we could listen to her talk about needing to win a championship. But she played for a college known for their basketball program, where she had tons of help. Caitlin played for a team, who will probably not even make it to March Madness again after she leaves. I personally am more impressed with players who elevated their programs (ala Steph Curry or Steve Nash), more so that players who go to really great basketball schools like University of Connecticut, Duke, etc. and win championships.
I'll cross my fingers for them with you, but I don't see it happening. You think they have someone who can replace 31 points per game? They barely scraped by any of the good teams this year with Caitlin going bonkers. So... I hope they can keep it up, but their school track record says otherwise. Who knows l, maybe this teams play will inspire better recruits to go to Iowa.... but unlikely. If you were good... you'd probably got UNLV or UCONN.

I keep hearing all these experts positing that a player can't be considered the GOAT (or even one of the greats) without a championship title. That's just absurd. Have these people forgotten that basketball is a TEAM game? Michael Jordan didn't win all of those NBA titles by himself. If he didn't have a great supporting cast he never would have gotten even one. And that wouldn't have diminished his individual abilities as a player.

Lol coming back here after she was proven RIGHT. Clark is out here struggling for her life in the league with back to back losses, tons of turnovers and picking up fouls. She was absolutely right in her assessment.
Let's just say the truth and the truth is the WNBA players don't like Clark or Reese because they are straight. They despise Clark more because she is straight, Catholic and white. Skylar got treated like garbage and she isn't the only straight player who has gone public. The America hating lesbians feel that the WNBA is their property.
My African mom who lives in London has heard of Carlin Clark and has seen a couple highlights. They’re really stopping themselves from getting a real bag over some jealousy. Sad.
Pushing 50 years of age, and talks like a 12 year old boy from the projects,,, she went to uconn, grew up wealthy, why does she think it's a good look to not grow up.
If I was Adam Silver, as the NBA holds 50% of stake in the wnba still, would step in to make everything necessary to succed Clark and this new generation of Woman's hoops. If you see they have way more charisma and appeal than Griner, Taurasi, Stewart and Bird EVER did.
she’ll get paid a LOT more too. have more access to equipment and trainers, ladies playing overseas are more talented, make more money, and are better trained than anyone in the WNBA
It happens thats sports, there always a player that pushes the games n sets a larger stage. Older players will always resent that because they all about the game. But sports is a business 💰
Why is Diana Taurasi out of all people being jealous and petty for??? She been in the WNBA for what 20 years? She won championships in both college and WNBA and is known as a basketball great! She should be happy someone like Clark is going to the WNBA and bring more fans to watch their games to bring more attention to the league. It’s wild these WNBA players are showing everyone who they really are, jealous, petty, hypocritical and clueless athletes
I agree with your sentiment, but some missing context is Taurasi is a former UCONN player and Clark was playing UCONN in that game. She still probably shouldn't have said it and she looks foolish, but she's partly just being a homer for her college team.
She should skip the WNBA and head to Europe but not before grabbing that sweet $5 Million from ice Cube and become the richest women's player in history without having to set foot on a WNBA court , They would make a few heads explode.
WNBA games are watched by cameraman, referees, cleaning people and family members that are persuaded to assist In order to get a hot dog at the arena. Those are the ones that show up in every game.😂

See if they would have let Kelsey Plum be successful I would definitely watch her, but she has the Olympicss so... Let's face it in the women's game college and Olympics are all that counts. They even had to do 3 vs 3 as a whole team of these people would just freeze Plum out. At least Clark can hit past the men's three so it will be harder to freeze her out.
If this comment is coming from someone in their early to mid teens it's understandable , but in truth they have missed out some great players. Cheryl Miller , Diana Turasi , Sheryl Swoopes , Candace Parker , Sabrina Ionescu , Lynette Woodward , Breanna Stewart , and Chamique Holdslaw just to name a few. But let's see who Caitlin Clark can bring with her as far as a new audience. I love her game , I love her attitude , and I love her mentality. That being said the WNBA has had a lot of saviors since it's inception and the league still suffers from a lack of identity. Perhaps C.C. can change that.
I wish she'd just take the 5 million and give the WNBA the middle finger and just sit back and watch them continue to flounder. She is bigger than the WNBA by herself. 17000 fans show up to watch her practice.

Cant figure out why WNBA players would hate a likeable straight white girl who focuses on playing basketball and entertaining fans instead of preaching identity politics…
That us precisely why CC is hated...if she is that good, then she shouldn't be white...that is the 2 ton elephant in the room...that & the jealousy factor....CC will not have a pleasant time in the WNBA, which is why that league will never grow...CC has paid her dues like DT, SB & BS...so what is the problem? Well, she is younger & a much better player & more popular...personally, I see her in the WNBA for a relatively short time, she will make huge splash, make a ton of money & maybe a Championship, then she will get out, return to college ball, as a coach, making a ton of money & & even more glory...😊
Sad. I see it with women all the time. Friends stabbing each other in the back or sleeping with someone they shouldn't have. I know it's an offensive phrase, but 'bros before hoes' was a code growing up. My one buddy and I were roommates and I got a retail job working with his new gf, who was the manager. She was hot . She freaking talked dirty to me at work all the time, and I told her repeatedly 'not happening' , even though i wanted to. Which made her more attracted to me. She'd do things like schedule her and I to do inventory after hours, so I'd tell my buddy why don't you pick up lunch for us and we'll all eat together. She got so mad. They broke up . Saw her a year later. She had no interest in me at all.
Had one at work that swore up and down she didn’t date my type. Got with the finest girl at work and now she’s super jealous. They are something else !
Do you know why it's jealousy because for years women have had ot fight to be in this sport let alone be working its not jealousy its fear that we need to be better to make it in life
I hate to break it to WNBA players. Absolutely no one, and I mean NO FREAKING ONE, is impressed by them. They are so unimpressive that sports fans cannot name them, what team they play on or the name of the team they play on.
Not entirely true. We all know who Griner is, following her drug arrest and swap with the "Merchant of D....h." Impressive. 🙄 But, it's certainly true I have never seen her play. and don't know the WNBA teams or other players. On the other hand, watching Clark drain 3s, or drive it in, or make beautiful assists...is pretty cool, especially when in her interviews she comes across as a decent person, too.
Women hating women is nothing new. I’m 77 and I can remember going through this many times. Just because I did my job efficiently, I learned quickly and because of that many times I would be asked if I could take on another position also. I never turned down learning more and staying busy. Is it my fault those jealous women didn’t want to expand their knowledge or keep busier than sitting in the same place all day? I don’t think so. I started working around men and it was totally different albeit they like play jokes on you to see if they can rattle you. Once that’s over they’ll be glad to teach you. No jealousy.
Females love destroying each other and playing victim. Emotional beings who can barely control their emotions. You see jealousy and hate, rather than praise. This isn't the case with the NBA, men call it like it is and we uplift anyone who is doing great and wish to see a thriving future for them. I think the recent problem with Wemby being such a phenom, the young squad barely wanted to give him the ball, when they know they can probably score much more efficiently with him being more involved. Now they are starting to get it, give the guy more looks, and he's throwing dimes, blocking, stealing, scoring. Teams and players will be much worse off if the roleplayers don't embrace talent. Not only will they lose out on money, they may lose out being part of history. I feel like Caitlin will have to go through that ringer but much worse, due to women being way more jealous. She will be making millions, while every player in the WNBA will be payed only a small fraction of that.
Not saying women don't do this but men typically are innately aware of their legacy and how they impacted the future generations similar to how the previous shaped their drive and growth in their profession. That's why you see guys take on the master-apprentice role. Not every but many do and even the criticisms are generally tough love although some do be hating
@@emssasukeisunderrated7946 You are correct, we value hardship and work ethic. If you see that in a person, you only want to help them grow if they are willing. So many of these guys have done this throughout the history of NBA, and there is nothing but competitive nature and no jealousy. If you were a jealous player, people see that and call you out. No one wants a cry baby on their team. Teamwork makes the dreamwork. You can't win all the time if your teammates hate you.
@@StevenLeeStudios Agree and especially in the men's games it's the ones usually the greatest players that love to share and help mentor the most. Like I know for instance like Wilt and Kareem had a falling out but in high school, college and early in the league Wilt helped him out as much as possible. It's crazy the amount of hate she gets without even playing a game in their league. You don't see women consistently making step-back 3's from 25+ ft like she does combined with her passing, court vision and shot creation. She's gonna dominate and we're all here to watch the haters crumble
What did she do you do understand that the only reason she and women basketball got more exposure because of gender equality and ESPN and other channels was forced to show them to give exposure to the women games basically it was charity and again sports channel was forch to show them especially doing the men tournament

@@NotJustMe115 that is point. Iowa is not highly recruiting players, isn’t that big of a school for the big ten, and is literally outperforming almost every problem due to Caitlyn Clark
Very very important point to put all of this in perspective. Iowa was like a mid-major 8-seed in some significant respects -- a well-coached team with one great star. Look at tiny Davidson with Steph Curry, or mid-major UW-Green Bay in the early 1990's that also had a 3-point shooting phenom point guard (named Tony Bennett; look up his record-breaking stats). Iowa was far from an established powerhouse.
Caitlin Clark is coming and there ain't nothing going to stop this train. She is such an inspiration. We are witnessing a legend at her craft... Elite mental toughness.
She doesn't need a championship to be consider a GOAT?? Bro stop it... Reggie miller, Karl Malone, Allen Iversion... I can go on. People don't consider them GOATs because they have no rings. Shaq picks on Charles weekly because he has no rings lol.

I'd roll that statement up to 2 WNBA players. Most people who watch the news can name 1. Brittney Griner seeing as she went to Russia and caused an international crisis.
The same happened with MJ. Fellow stars froze him out of the all star game as they were jealous. She’ll need to rise above it and let her game do the talking
You are right. People need to grow up. Watch the game and stop the nonsense. Let her compete like the others. Stop the dumb rhetoric. Not even drafted yet and making drama.
Numbers don't lie. Viewership numbers for the Elite 8 came in like this: Iowa v. LSU - 12.3m UConn v. USC - 6.7m SCar v. Oregon - 3.1m NCSt v. Texas - 2.5m Meaning Iowa/LSU drew as many viewers as the other 3 games combined. I will argue that interest in CC increased viewership across the board and history supports this. How many new viewers tuned in to watch CC and discovered that other players, other teams, and other games are worth watching? So instead of bashing those who never watched, you should be saying "Welcome to the party. Glad you came, stick around for a while". But NO, you start spewing hate, and that is not how you grow the game.
Funnily enough the game with the most viewers ever in women's basketball is Iowa vs LSU in the Elite 8. Even funnier, the record it broke was set by LSU vs Iowa in last years National Championship. At 9.9m.
@@DevinEMILE I think the last nights Iowa v. UConn broke that record, and it wouldn't surprise me if tomorrows Iowa/SC game breaks that. Either way, the common denominator is Catlin Clark.
So many of these guys have done this throughout the history of NBA, and there is nothing but competitive nature and no jealousy. If you were a jealous player, people see that and call you out. I don't even know those older players or woman's basketball at all.. I just watched the last two games because I heard of katelyn clark.
They’re just pissed because she doesn’t shoot “10’ air-balls”!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was married 27 years to one woman. Women hate everything that doesn't enhance themselves.
You should have married someone just like you...a man
That was one woman.
Some women, most women, all women?
@@dreamlife808most woman are like that guy's wife. Most woman are awful now.
I'm sorry but it's the truth. I have alot of woman in my family. Sadly at 52 I realized they are all selfish awful people except 1. And it's not mom
Bro spoke truth
Clark is bringing attention to the sport and others coming into the WNBA and about to sell out areans so why hate..Girl got game🙏👀
They afraid that snow white might rain down some 3ball on them 😂
Snow monkey😂
Numbers don't lie. Viewership numbers for the Elite 8 came in like this:
Iowa v. LSU - 12.3m
UConn v. USC - 6.7m
SCar v. Oregon - 3.1m
NCSt v. Texas - 2.5m
Meaning Iowa/LSU drew as many viewers as the other 3 games combined.
It will be interesting to see what next year's numbers will be. I'll wager they won't approach this year's numbers by half, but there will be some carryover from the new viewers CC brought to the game.
Women lol typical women. I’m only watching a game if Clark is in it. Otherwise they’re shit
I know it's cuz CC I tuned in
Great point and great comment!
The fact that everyone’s talking about college women’s basketball over professional women’s basketball just shows how sad it is
It’s wild to see women who were part of Geno Auriemma’s dynasty at UConn act like Caitlin Clark not winning a championship won’t make her great. Ladies you were on a super team that if anyone cared back in the day you would get as much shit as KD going to Golden State.
They’re hating on Caitlyn Clark because she’s a White heterosexual & Catholic female who is an exceptionally talented basketball player!
That part 😅 but don’t say it out loud just yet. Lol Let them continue to provide zero professional analysis of Clark’s game. Their hatred and the real reason behind it will be exposed in due time.
wrong
I've never watched a women's basketball game, pro or NCAA, in my life until I saw Caitlin Clark clips on the internet.
She is making history because of all that team and coaches, when this time passes, all the words of criticism and selfish jealous rubbish will long fade away, but what she and that team has accomplished will be remembered and cherished for generations.i am Australian and never watched this game before, yet after coming across this team and no 22,can,t stop watching them.❤
Many NBA stars like Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Pistol Pete Maravich and Jerry West came up short of winning a championship at the college level. As others have said, basketball is a team game.
Good point
The point is, people remember special players more then the teams. And you’re right, teams win championships.
And none of them are considered GOATS. That’s the point
@@littv1610 Larry Bird and Jerry West (aka "The Logo") are not considered GOATs? Who exactly have you been asking the GOAT question to? It can't be basketball fans, because most, by a wide margin, consider them GOATs, and it certainly is not anyone that played in the NBA, because they all consider those two GOATs.
@@Xsploor Nope. Mj, kobe, Lebron. Those r great players u mentioned but not in GOAT convo. Stop playing dumb
It always ends up in cat fight, when it’s women.
It ends up in a brawl when its men, people are human neither gender is always in the right
But which is more fun to watch😂😂😂kidding
Another key reason is you gotta understand the WNBA is the lesbian league so when you have a player that’s coming into the league as good as Caitlin Clark and she’s heterosexual the heat is even gonna come at a more intense rate. Just look at how they did Candice Wiggins and Skylar Diggins. I promise you Angel Reese is definitely going to get some hate too
Yup, heterophobia and anti-conservative/anti-God values. Not that CC is the poster child for any of those categories.
angel really is good looking. she has a doll face despite amazon proportions
Too much negativity and dumb crap in the WNBA . Self destruction lol its not gonna last long if they dont get it together. They only have like 10 teams left and they keep shutting down teams or moving them to other cities. Nobody but their diehard fans watches them. These good young players are better off playing overseas. More stability.
She’s not Team LGBTQ, and yes shes white hope to them and Taurasi and others use to be the white hype. Women hating in public and all of them snickering about money is crazy and sad
Caitlin isn't part of the alphabet soup mafia??
I may need to shoot my shot.. Pun intended
"and then she gonna drink whatever dirty ass drink she drinkin'." 😂😂😂😂😂
The ladies should be reminded that many NBA players were not on National Championship teams.
