@@Mxxx-ii9bu Exactly. So it's a miracle if people survive. Conveniently no one says the opposite when they die. There are no miracles. Only chance. Some have good chances, others are slim. Sadly for Mike he was just too remote.

When we realize that our time on earth is only the smallest of beginnings of the rest of our eternal life we see things so differently.
I read a comment below that said, 'Why didn't God help him?' God did. Just not they way we would have dictated to God. He helped him in his suffering. He helped through his pain. He helped him take his first step to the rest of his eternal life.
When we confine ourselves only to our brief life on earth we rob ourselves of the richness God has set before us. We avoid suffering because who wants suffering when our lives are already so short in what we feel is the big scheme of things.
But when we receive God's gift of eternity the suffering is so fleeting in the even bigger mind blowing scheme of things.

How many of us can say, "let this situation not change my love for you God". We complain about every bit of suffering in life. God has a greater plan with each bit of our suffering as it can purify our love for Him, thus our soul. And this is the most important.

This was more about this mans survival over the 11 days and his documentation of it than a feel good story. Can’t help but think that Mike could have asked his dog to go for help putting a note in his collar to see if he could find another person out there to help. Also with being such a man of god just can’t help but think that we are here on this earth and what happens happens, there are plenty of survival stories of people who are not reverends yet this man is trapped and succumbs to it it’s just thought provoking

We do not exist in order to live forever in the material world, we have eternal souls, people forget this and it really confuses them. Father in heaven actually takes people early sometimes even, because they simply belong in heaven, and this world is just a test and a lot of beast system nonsense tbh...but also, you are right that one can go at any hour, this is why finding the Lord at every hour, is the way to go.

There is not such a thing called good death, but this is very sad death, at least he had his loyal to death dog that stayed with him till very last moments unable to help, I feel for both of them, the dog must of been really hurt too,,,Reast In Peace

What a sad story but I'm glad in the end, Mike asked God to not let his love for God go away. This video didn't really explain it but the reason Mike went over to the Boulder area is because his dog at one point ran away there so Mike went there to call his dog back so that they could continue on their hike (I found this information from a Mr. Ballen video that I watched).

That’s why I make sure my phone always with me with good condition... Some places may be out of service, but a weak signal could be saving my life ☺️

Yes but as his friend said "cell phones were quite *primitive* back then"... Then, being when cell phones just came out... I believe that would make them current technology and futuristic. Another moron.

I just learned about this story yesterday, and I woke up overnight thinking about it. God was there the whole time, especially when Mike deviated from his planned path. God was…and is…the small, quiet voice. What does your small, quiet voice say? And when does It stop speaking?

Sure it was nice that his dog stayed close by, but it would've been nicer if the dog would've brought him some water. Years ago, there was a story in the Readers Digest about a man injured in a field on his farm, and his dog would go jump in the irrigation canal and then run back to him and he would then drink the water from the dog's fur each time the dog did that, and was thus able to stay alive!

Sad.....he was a believer . He was at peace with God his last days of life. I believe God gives you dying grace and I believe Pastor Mike had that. He didn't die alone God was with him through it all. I pray his family found peace, and comfort in God's word. Amen 🙏
