I think he didn’t need to act like he was fine, just level with his son and tell him the truth: that he’s hurt and in pain, and pray together for help. Then at dawn, send his son for help.

God was certainly with the both of you. Your son being only 10 sure was a brave little boy. And you are such a great dad. You were hurt so bad and the horrible pain you were in. You were concern about your son and not to scare him.

After watching several WONDER docs, I am puzzled to see that so many people don't carry their cell phones or weapons with them. I carry both just going to Walmart. These people are out deep into the woods, walking deep into the Grand Canyons, out on international waters, etc. I just don't understand how people don't pack for the worse case scenario.
But such a heroic daddy and son.👍🏽❤

Why did he send his son out into the wild where there are bears? He should have stayed put at the place they found. Got lots of wood to start a signal fire when the people came to look for them.

He raised his son to be a good kid. No religion required and I would posit that raising a kid with faith, rather than evidence based facts, is doing their child a disservice. If the kid wants to get to adulthood and follow that path then that's their choice, but to demand that your child follows your religion is lazy and more than a little disingenuous. All that aside, they seem like nice people and I'm glad their love and tenacity got them through.

I apparently took her by her hand and walked her back to the porch. I had her sit down and told her not to cry cause I was fine. It has a limited number of seasons as it ran on cable television before this UA-cam channel acquired distribution rights. This channel doesn't make its own content, it's a distributor of old cable TV series.

He kinda was if the thing crushed his body or head that would be a death for sure but the kid didn't save him in the brink of death i do agree with that though

I mean, he was close, if that ATV hit him in a different way or in a different spot, he could be life-threateningly injured to instantly crushed to death. That situation was absolutely a life threatening one, he just lucked out and was hit in nonvital locations, which ultimately does make this story less of a survival story since the stakes were not as high as most the others were. But to say not even close... it was pretty damn close to being on the brink of death if one thing had gone differently! I understand tho you probably meant his current state based on how it did hit him rather than how it could have hit him.
