Kevin Durand can actually act pretty well, given the right material. The man can emote.
Saw it last night, another fantastic film from Radio Silence. Great characters, humour and gore. I loved how they did their own thing with vampire lore. Dan Steven’s was the standout for me. Especially in the last act.
What was the vampire lore in this then?

I shouldn’t have watched the trailers as it gave away lot. Still enjoyed it tho, enjoyed the climax. Glad Joey ended up being a final girl. I loved how even after finding out Abigail’s true identity, she kept her Pinky promise. Which is what saved Joey’s life in the end. Love the bind she formed with Abigail. The end fight was Brutal. I was like “man they need to a vampire slayer there to help them”!😂 I want to see more …maybe a sequel or a series.
To me the vampire plot line could have been hidden in the trailer. What a great reveal this could have been. It suprised me in the trailer. Thought it was a kidnapped heist film until the reveal.
What would the trailer be without that though? How could they market it, without a USP premise etc?

If you thought Dan Steven’s was great in this; you should review his first collaboration with Adam Wingard, ‘The Guest’. Phenomenal film, great performances, well directed, great pacing and an amazing soundtrack.
That was the film that put him on my radar too. He was brilliant in that.
Also the Legion TV series I believe.
Yeah seeing him here and how the character is, made me have a few seconds of whoa the fuck did Radio Silence make the Guest?? As I seemed to remember him also being in that with Katherine aswell and we know how creative teams get comfortable using the same people sometimes 🤔
Dan Stevens is also in the upcoming _Cuckoo_ directed by Tilman Singer, which looks bloody good too.
I recommend Dan Stevens showing his acting chops in the first couple of seasons of Legion.
This movie was a lot of fun. The whole cast was great and the actress who played Abigail was amazing.
Though i was sad that GianCarlo Esposito wasn't in it very much and i thought the father/Lazar was disappointing as the build up was good and he doesn't do anything. I also liked Dan Stevens and Kevin Durand a lot. Overall a fun movie and i wouldn't mind a sequel.
Dan Stevens was great in The Apostle as well by Gareth Evans the director who did the Raid films. Also Stevens is amazing in The Guest.
I’m gonna go see it today, I also saw Sting which was also good.
Steven’s acting in FX Legion was great. Barrera is very good in this. The little girl Alisha Weir is absolutely fantastic. I didn’t realise she’s from Ireland. Her accent was good. Katherine Newton is a good actor. She seems to suit these horror monies. Just saw her in Lisa Frankenstein. Her acting with her eyes and facial work looks good, I think anyway. It’s a good, fun, solid movie.
I saw it and thought it was boring. You knew she was a vampire and you have to wait ages for anything to start. For the first part they just talk about what they think is going on, but because we know she’s a vampire, it’s pointless. I thought Ready or Not was much better
Flipping love Dan Stevens as an actor, honestly think he could both play James Bond and Indiana Jones

I saw it today. I was really surprised. I decided to give it a shot because of all the positive reviews and was pleasantly surprised. I'd give it a 9/10. And yes, Alisha Weir is the clear standout as Abigail. She is incredible in this movie and has a bright future ahead of her.

I don't get why movies is basically laid out in the trailer.. leaving nothing to your imagination.is ot because the average teen/ 20 something has a memory of a goldfish and forget what they saw only remembering that they want to see it??? Because for me seeing the plot in a trailer makes me think why go see it IL wait and watch it on line
The trailer only shows the main premise, there's plenty that isn't in the trailer and nothing from the third act is in it. It's still well worth watching, I enjoyed it more than most films this year so far.
Say whatever you gonna say about the recent scream movies me personally I love them both but that’s besides the point I’m just happy for Melissa Barrera because Spyglass did her dirty and my God I love Kevin Durand I know this is so random but I seriously think he’s one of the most underrated actors I can’t wait to see him in this movie and Kingdom of the planets of the apes as the villain aka Proximus Caesar.

Radio silence havnt made a bad film thus far so I'm not surprised it's very good! Looking forward to it big time! Check out a film called "the guest" with Dan Stevens it's remarkable

Don't expect it to reinvent the wheel AND it's heavily spoiled in the trailers...... But it remains a very fun watch 👍
They REALLY put the whole movie in the trailer storywise, this is so stupid, clever hidden this could be such a cool surprise...
1:50 I'm surprised its taken this long to notice Dan Stevens. Have you not seen The Guest from 2014? Thats the cult classic Dan Stevens(his best role to date)
Having watched it now, I do have to wonder why they stuck with the code names even after their real names are revealed. Just seemed a little odd to me. Had a good time overall. The use of Swan Lake was perfect.

I get why they spoiled who the vampire was, I mean it's kinda hard to market this film as just a simple vampire movie, if they tried to keep who was a vampire hidden than I think the marketing for this film would have been a bit less talked about the the movie would've have probably suffered, especially since there's gonna be another vampire movie coming out later this year

It was good in an unstandard reason for me. It felt like a non genre vampire heist movie? It was a fun but nothing burger? lol

Mr. H you need to check out more films from Dan Stevens especially the movie: The Guest. I think he's a great actor and has made some great movies.
This movie was fucking awesome. I wasn‘t sure at first if i should go and see it and it was worth 100%.

I saw it Saturday and really enjoyed it. Really enjoyed the characters to and when the big muscle guy died it really sucked. Saddest moment in the movie and the most disturbing moment as well
The cast sounds fantastic.
Watched it this morning at Vue, and yeah we enjoyed the madness of it though it was predictable. We get free 2 tickets every month but even if I had paid the money to watch it I would have still enjoyed it.

Ahh a fellow creepypasta/worstverse fan, I thought the same thing when I saw this trailer. Can't complain tho, Abigail (worstverse) is one of my favorite characters/verses, and I love naturestemper.

I saw it today :). It was fun and funny. Entertaining and glad I could turn off my brain for a few hours.

Again. A dusk till dawn movie. No creativity. Plus I wouldn't be surprise Mr. H enjoying crap as this movie. 😂 also it wasn't smart to give alot of the film in the trailer

It was a fun, good popcorn movie, but as a horror movie it felt more like a comedy. Still good movie but for something in the genre of horror as scary, it kinda failed for me. Still fun film tho.

Nothing was spoiled in the trailer and you people that keep saying that are ridiculous. Abigail being a vampire is not a twist! I can’t believe people are this stupid to think that is a spoiler. Her being a vampire is the reason to go see the movie. Why else would you see this movie if not for the fact she’s a vampire??
Have to agree here. There's still plenty in the film that isn't shown in the trailer. Plus if they don't show her as a vampire in the trailer I can't think why anyone would go and see it. The edits in the trailer hide enough that it's not just showing exactly what happens in the film.
I mean if you want more in detail story just go an check out the Worstverse..

All of seen of that dan stevens, is the trailer of Kong, can't stand him, over the top, a jar , irritating un funny character and his London Accent is so so irritating, just like that other guy bernie, oh good, these people are un bearable just looked up his films he stars in, none are for me at all
