- It's time for the yearly maintenance of the Countyline 25-Ton Wood Splitter. It is very important to change the oil every year on small engines. Especially if they sit around a lot. It's cheap insurance to make sure everything is all good. The Countyline Log Splitter is so easy to do!

I enjoy the way you speak and explain things very easy to follow keep the videos coming
Thanks, will do!
I’ve got the same splitter, what a little workhorse. Thank you for sharing the NAPA part # on the hydraulic filter. That green sprayer for the brake cleaner, where did you get that and where do you get the bulk liquid brake cleaner?
I got the sprayer and the CRC Brake Clean from Napa as well. But recently, I just found the Brake Clean on Amazon and will order from there next time. Amazon also has comparable, maybe better sprayers too.

I really appreciate you taking time to watch this video. It really helps the channel if you like the video and subscribe (if you actually like the video :).
Did you add the hour meter?
I did. Something like this: amzn.to/48H8SRk
Thanks!
That'd be a very worthwhile add-on
I just bought that same splitter, thing how it would have been nice if they had had the foresight to make that engine mounting-plate have a little hole and funnel sorta opening below the drain plug on the engine.. thinking of fabbing-up something like that but gotta question how that's going to affect the warranty if some issue were to arise where the warranty was called-for. I didn't get the shelf yet, still wanna get that and a good cover as I don't have a nice garage to pull mine into.
I doubt a hole drilled through the plate would void warranty, but who knows. Ha
@@OutdoorsEngineer I have a story to tell, just got done getting a replacement splitter.. 6days after buying the "new" countyline 25ton and having it break, seems the ones they were selling on their spring black Friday deal were actually reconditioned yet sold as new! Super cool guy in the back of that store and I talked today for a few hours, trying to split some Elm yesterday blew the cylinder seal out because the pump was frozen in high gear.. twisted the frame too! I got a *brand* new (this time) splitter of the same model and 2 free bottles of bar/chain oil for my troubles. Luckily I had an honest worker there in the back to help me out..
How to check the motor oil level without spilling the oil out after unscrewing the plug?
It's inevitable. Just have a paper towel on hand.
Its surprising that Countyline went with only a 4gal Hydraulic oil tank, my old 22ton Huskee is 5gal and that only runs a 11gpm pump, the cylinder on the Countyline sure does get awfully hot with that 14gpm pump, wondering just how much that'll shorten the life of the O-rings and seals in the cylinder and controls.
It does get warm! I've been having troubles with my hydraulic filters coming loose lately too.
