Like your delivery and humor. Love your sweet little boy! So nice he can help around the shop! Someone recommended this splitter because it pops logs apart, so it's faster. Maybe not the best idea? I like my Echo chainsaw!

That wedge is awful. Could you try a splitting axe head? You got a Frankenstein splitter already now, a fiskars axe head would be an awesome addition.

I have a Fiskars maul and hatchet and love them both. Are you suggesting I weld one to my splitter? Or do they make a spitter wedge?

@@thedoubtfultechnician8067 oh Fiskars make really mean splitting wedges!

Would you still have the part number to the MTD cylinder that worked in the end? I appreciate any feedback! And also great video. Enjoyed watching.

I’ll do you one better- here’s a link to the one I bought. I went direct with the manufacturer to avoid any more Amazon mixups.

Also if you know the model of your splitter compared to mine that’d be helpful also, mine is the LS33340T

Oof that’s a big ole girl. Mine is only an LS22. You have a 5” cylinder. You also need to know the trunnion diameter, the outside diameter of the piston where it goes into the wedge, and the width between the trunnion carriers. With that info, tooltuff can find the right part number for yours.

Echo has been notoriously fixable in my experience. Favorite of some rental shops
