Thanks for your great review! We also got one, in 2022. It has worked great for us. We also had trouble finding the exact fluid to put in it, here in Oregon. In 2024 the handle mount broke. Help desk guy said it is intentionally made to break to prevent damage to the valve. Apparently we were pushing too hard on the handle. Once we get the free replacement part on there, new rule will be TWO-FINGER OPERATION of the handle. (To be fair, it broke while we were having a young man do some splitting for us, and he may have been a little over-enthusiastic. The handle was also what broke on our previous DR flywheel splitter.) If yours does happen to break, I would love to see a video on how to replace it. They sent the part, but no instructions. It's a little metal ring that looks like pot metal, and apparently is! Thank you again for doing such a thorough video review.
How tall are you? I found online that this splitter is only 25” to the table area. Does it ever seem too short to you? I Wanted to order one but now I’m wondering. My current splitter is 31” high.
Looks EXACTLY like my DR Electric Dual Action 10 Ton Splitter from Country Home in Vermont. It has been splitting +/- 6 cords /year for 12 years. Mostly hardwoods but some spruce & fir. The cycle time is SLOW ( ~ 11 sec each way ) compared to my older gas splitters. This Boss is the same. Looks like a copy. Tip: be sure to keep the inner and outer slides clear of debris and oil them. Bill is in the mail.
Hi Jay, came across your channel while browsing for some rebar related video. It’s good to see you enjoying your retirement. Miss you both at Alphagraphics.

Good video. I recently purchased this splitter and after one use I’m very happy with it.

Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
❤ Great product information
Helpful information! Subscribed!
Awesome, thank you!
How tall is the working area of the Boss? Can’t find it online
Does it seem short?
So, slow garbage when you could get a kinetic electric wood splitter for half the price and works like a dream!!!
Thanks for weighing in. Works well for us, and we like that you can split wood using both directions of the travel ram. Best, DFJ
Thanks for ordering dominos!
Our pleasure!
Any electric is worth it if you are older, like me, and have a weak back!
WAIST OF TIME. NOT ONCE WE HEARD THE UNIT WORKING. STILL DON'T KNOW HOW LOUD IT IS.
