    reading all of the safety comments and noticing that stack of old tires reminded me of some great videos ive watched of creative folks making furniture.
    theyre using what they have and creating a way for income (the safety considerations are atrocious haha) as well as teaching a craft.

    As often seen on these type videos, the more difficult parts of the fabrication are skipped over. The positioning of the square support tubes to the rim for welding is done half width to a sloping side, so the initial cut as shown won't do. So he then had to resort to trial and error for the fitment , and in turn the welding of it in place was not shown.

    • @menscraft7985
      @menscraft7985  18 днів тому +1

      It's okay, this moment was intentionally missed, it could have been done without complications, you just had to lower the bottom pad by an inch, but I already had the front swivel wheels, and if I lowered the pad, they wouldn't fit, and I didn't want to buy another set) so if you adjust the front wheels in height right away, you won't have to complicate the project like I did, so I didn't show this moment.

    Putting the gas bottle between the axles would eliminate the need for the concrete ballast. However, it is your time and money so if it works for you that's all that matters. Good project, well done, except for rubbing your hand across the freshly cut square tube, but it's your fingers. 👍

    A "bisserl" übertrieben für ein Schweißwagen, findest Du nicht? Außerdem hast Du entweder keine Stufen oder Höhenunterschiede, oder wirst später mal FLUCHEN an dem Teil. Weil das wird so ab 45 - 50 Jahren dann gefühlt mit jedem Jahr wo man älter wird gefühlt 10 kg schwerer. Ich habe früher auch ähnliche Dinge gekauft und gebaut, und ab einem gewissen Alter merkst Du dann wo die Fehler sind, die man in jungen Jahren einfach nicht sehen wollte.

    • @christiang.9485
      @christiang.9485 17 днів тому

      Achja, stabil ist das Ding - also falls mal mein Haus droht einzustürzen, und ich Stützen brauchen sollte, dann lasse ich mir von Dir Schweißwägen bauen - aber für ein Schweißwagen hoffnungslos daneben! Obendrein hast Du in Deinem Betonsockel nur Platz für eine 10 Liter Flasche Gas - was machst Du wenn Du wie ich mal feststellst, dass 20 Liter Flaschen deutlich "günstiger" sind, also beim Befüllen nur unwesentlich mehr kosten, als 10 Liter, man aber die doppelte Gasmenge dafür bekommt?

    • @menscraft7985
      @menscraft7985  17 днів тому

    No gloves cutting and grinding. ? Sends a message thst its acceptable . It is not. Fragments of wheel etc can injure prople who do similar things without the knowledge of what s possible outcome. Grinding wheel has fragments and dust of carbides and fiberglass that bind the cutting grinding wheel together. The dust from cutting and grinfing should be done outdoors if possible. My background in industrial maintenance 50 years gives me the chills when I see stuff like this that sends a message of fly by the seat of your pants fabrication thats done in home workshops. Inform yourself of safety first practice . Keep yourself and others safe from injury and illness and use gloves , faceshields and goggles to protect yourself , onlookers, and others who might be curious about your work.Lets try and be safe. Even in industrial settings rules are not adhered to, thats the safety officer saving your eyes when he flags you for a infraction. I could go on and on. This type of wing it , semi intelligent home building has a real downside.
