Firewood Business Game Changer - Finally Picked Up IBC Totes!
IBC totes have been a hot topic for firewood business owners for a few years and I have been holding off. Mainly, they are too expensive. The typical market around here in Northern Wisconsin is anywhere from $50 - $80 each, which is too rich for my blood. I finally was able to get my hands a bunch of totes to use for my firewood business. They really are going to be a game changer!

Thanks, nice video. I just noticed the same leak on my CK 2610 w/220 hours. While his looks easy enoughI'm going follow seer2327's advice and check to see if it's covered under the warranty before tackling. Thanks again

Appreciate it. Have a great night!
Great savings idea!!! Money is called MONEY!!!!!❤❤❤❤
For Sure!
Does it have a guest network option?
@theppgcowboy Yes, I actually have two guest networks. And you can specify which access point emits each network.
Prepping to build one of these, do you think it would be a help or burden to add 6"x6" skids on bottom, like sled runners? It appears your hunched over when cutting then you could potentially slide it as well with no need to have forks on tractor if you had a grapple? Good video
I don't think I'd want it any higher, but I think there is merit to the idea of putting skids on the bottom. Probably could get away with 4x6's and just shorten the posts a bit.
nice haul, mitch. i like how you tossed them on the trailer like the hulk. i would have done the same thing. honestly, with 12 totes, there's a ton of utility there for you for $350
They are surprisingly light weight. Which I guess is a huge benefit when trying to move firewood around. I'm already realizing that benefit. I'm going to have to get some more!
That’s a nice score of pallets. Last fall, I came across a nice source of totes from an ad at $15 per. Ended up getting 8 loads of 26 totes 😅. They all had the bladders in them, too!! Imagine the creativity it takes to position and process that amount in about a half acre area, lol.
The best part of this deal is they had no bladders! But $15 per is awesome!
@@OutdoorsEngineer that is true. No bladders make for easier processing. I messed up, and got rid of all but 8 bladders. I quickly found out that I need more so that I can store and discard the saw chips and slash, while also storing the bigger pieces of slash for my burn barrel. Hopefully, I can grab the 16 free totes available next week. That would solve that problem. I’ll keep my fingers crossed, 😁. Also,…I would suggest to use a grinder with a flap disc to smooth your edges up. A regular disc will still leave them rough. That way, you or anyone else won’t get caught on the cages.
Nice job
Great job!
Thanks!
for those wondering this contraption is $650
Sure is! Cheaper than a commercial bundler.
I liked your idea. I want to make one like it and I hope it looks the same as yours. blessings
Awesome. Send me an email if you have any questions.
Thanks for doing this video. It's really helpful. I'd be curious to see you do a test on the performance difference between using a 90 degree vs two 45's. Do you think it really matters?
Hmm...I'm sure two 45's could be slightly better due to the curve being a touch flatter, but I doubt it makes a huge difference.
Love the setup must be a real honest place to have this much trust it’s a nice change from what I’m used to
@lizard9784 It's been usually pretty honest. Did have one break in in 2022. And the past few years been short changed anywhere from 75-$100. This year, everybody has paid!
is the filter really needed, what exactly is it doing?
Filtering the air and not blowing dust directly into my shop.
20 bucks for 5 pieces of wood. I'm guessing you never said "money doesn't grow on trees".
@@michaelkoziak1693 Hhmmm. Not exactly. More like 40 pieces.
I love seeing things like this! Thank you for bringing this convenience to others! ❤
Yes! It make me happy to see families able to enjoy their vacations. This is part of it - smores, and campfires!
Congratulations to idiots who buy wood that you can just chop for free..
Not everyone is capable of chopping trees. They either don’t have the tools to do so, lack the experience, or maybe just physically can’t. This gentleman is helping those people and his community.
@@MsGrindandFitness well if you're not capable of chopping trees that sucks you can take down smaller trees and you can use dried tree bark sticks dead grass etcetera
People who are traveling 200 miles to go camping for the weekend aren't going to bring saws and axes to chop wood. It's also illegal to haul wood hundreds of miles. Finally, People who live in the city don't have the resources to produce their own firewood.
@@OutdoorsEngineer a lot of people do that's the whole point who's going to go camping with nothing.. you need weapons you need protection a gun bear spray tools you ain't just going to go hiking in the woods with no protection or nothing bro unless you're an idiot
@@Aronx-uv6ywyou’d be surprised… a lot of people ain’t ever even been camping man. A lot of people aren’t going to even consider anything you’re saying at all. I’m surprised you’re talking about city folk not bringing wood/ shit to cut it with and not about how they could just rob this man blind and skip to the next camp site.
Good deal.
Awesome!👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Good for you! Nice setup.
Thanks for sharing! I have a 2003 Jayco Jay Flight 21fb and did some reno myself, and it's nice to see a reno on the "larger" model from what I have. I know youve since sold it but it still continues to help others with like-minded models.
For sure! Glad it still helps!
Great video. Just downloaded the shed plans, do you have a parts list for the fan and other things that you used to set it up?
There should be one in the plan set you downloaded. Did you find it? I did not include electrical.
Great video. I’m at the point of designing my stand. Hope to have set for fall. TY
I really think this stand has improved sales for me. The last two months I have had the most sales this year in those months compared to the previous 3! Having a nice stand really seems to pay off! Good luck on your adventure!
is it necessary to ground the generator when the breaker panel to the house is already grounded? Basically is it safe to double ground?
I'm not sure. Not an electrician here.
As a new kioti owner, I say, thank you for your service (video) :D
Thanks for watching! I think I really enjoy providing guidance on this platform!
This is a REALLY good video. Keep it up... your channel is still underrated but not for long, I bet. 🎉
Wow, thank you!
question? does this extend the lever forward or the pedal outward>? i put an Arlen ness inverted intake om and now my pedal sits in too far and my calf hits when i,m braking....annoyed but love the cleaner performance and look...sugestions?
I believe, if I remember correctly, it only moves it forward and makes the pad flatter.
Why don’t you get a wireless remote switch. I have the remote clipped to my shop apron so it’s always with me.
I watned to, but I need to get one for a 20 amp. I have not found it's that big of a deal. I do think I may install a 3 or 4 way switch system around the shop.
I built a similar saw table. Don’t have forks so I had to use my front loader with chains. It took me 8 hours to cut , split and stack one cord. How does that compare to your production? I must admit that it was WAY EASIER on my back than any other method I’ve used!
My guess is that I did about a half of a cord in 2-3 hours this past Sunday! Way better than on the ground!
I love my wolferidge bagging station!!! Super easy to make bags now!!!
Yes! I love that I can bag multiple types of firewood - kindling, mini, regular, small firewood.
I have pretty much the same setup except I have to use chains and hook off my loader instead of forks which is not ideal. Took me 8 hours to load, cut, split and stack. How’s that compare with your output?
I can usually load the entire rack, which ends up to be about 1.5 face cord and cut/split/stack it in 2-3 hrs, maybe 4.
Good video just what I was looking for I bundle 12000 +a year I use a brute force bundler thinking about going to bags we average 30 bundles per hour we also put handles on what are the dimensions of your bag
How's the Brute Force? I'm not that far from them. I'm not sure the bag dimensions. I do know they fit 1.0 cubic foot bundles just fine. I get them from Frieze Firewood in Phillips, WI and are very, very UV Stable.
@@OutdoorsEngineer brute force bundler works good

I just kept stepping up until I found a comfortable cab. Then the price difference between the low and high hp for the size I was getting wasn't much so I got the higher one. Now it won't fit through the door of my barn. 55 hp for mowing 10 acres is overkill but works.
More HP means better PTO power!
