- Trooper First Class Joseph Rutkoski, from the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack, ticketed Christopher Tyler, 30, of Lexington Park, for the following:
driving a motor vehicle without required license and authorization
driving a motor vehicle on a highway or public use property on a suspended out-of-state license
negligent driving a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner and endangering property, life, and person
changing lanes when unsafe
failure to use a turn signal prior to a turn
stopping a vehicle in an intersection
In November of 2018, Tyler was cited in St. Mary’s County for driving a motor vehicle on a highway or public use property on a suspended out-of-state license.

i doubt he would have been got for delaying or interfering response of emergency services since the fire truck was not running code(lights and sirens) at the time. the rest i can totally see happening, which would be enough for a temporary suspension of his drivers license

"The firetruck followed the Sonata into the parking lot of the St. Mary’s Square to provide dispatches an updated location for police.
A Trooper from the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack responded to the location of the vehicle that was parked and unoccupied in front of the Weis Market and waited for the driver to return to the vehicle.
When the driver came out of the store approximately 25 minutes later he saw the trooper and walked over to him and asked directions to Tulagi Place, and asked if it was in walking distance. The Trooper then asked the driver why he didn’t just drive the Sonata to Tulagi Place. The driver of the Sonata said it wasn’t his car and denied driving it. The Sonata was not owned by the driver, but he had been pulled over in it before by police. The driver of the Sonata was also suspended at the time of the incident.
The firetrucks video card was in a locked digital video recorder and could not be reviewed by police at St. Mary’s Square.
At the time of the road rage incident, the Sonata had an infant in the backseat.
The weight of the firetruck is estimated at over 45,000 lbs.
The Maryland State Police are still investigating the incident and updates will be provided as they become available."

Was in a non-emergency medical transport, but still medical, trying to unload a paralyzed person on a ventilator into a health care facility. Some a** in his car parked in front of the door in space meant for medical vehicles loading & unloading. He refused to move even though he was informed of the patient needing proper access to be unloaded.

12 of July N Ireland, fire crews and ambulance teams in fear of injuries while attending call outs. Same thing at hollowed, bonfires gets out of hand , they turn up and get bottles sticks stones throw at them. It's not just drivers cutting them off or blocking them, it's interfering with first responders in the course of there work, either when responding or Not , cause that minute you hold them up could mean the difference between life and death , and could be someone you know.
THESE are the people I'm talking about.
It's a lack of respect and support that our first responders DON'T get allover the world.

My Dad used to drive truck and when I was learning to drive, he taught me to give the big trucks a wide bearth and stay out of their way. If nothing else they're carrying so much mass they just can't manuever like a car. A fire truck with full water tanks has to be so much worse.
I think they solved that problem, modern fire trucks are very manoeuverable. They probably partition the water tank so it is less dangerous than a truck carying some heavy load what can slide.

People do this intentionally because they can sue the Fire Department for money. I am so happy that it was recorded so that it shows that he did it on purpose. He should get no money for being a bad parent and endangering his child's life.

In the large city where I live, the transit bus drivers talk about how, as Nov and Dec come around, there's an annual wave of car drivers attempting the "swoop and squat" scam in front of their buses. The scammers figure the transit authority has deep pockets and will just pay them a settlement (because in any rear-end collision, if there's no further evidence, this state's law automatically presumes the vehicle at the rear was at fault) and then they'll have extra funds for the holiday season. Apparently, the scammers don't realize buses have vid cameras covering everything nowadays.

First responders not only risk it all for us, they also gotta deal with shit like this. If you can make their life even just a little better, do it. I used to work at a Chipotle and there was a 50 percent first responder discount. There were 2 people that would come in and get food very often, a fire fighter and a police officer, and I always gave him the discount, but when
I started watching these videos I started giving them free drinks and chips and sides and stuff.
Yup we see all kinds of idiots doing stupid things on the road. Sometimes they just freeze and don't know whether to zig or zag so they just sit there as the siren wales... sometimes you encounter a douche like this guy that purposefully cuts in front of you for some odd reason. Like you said, the job is tough enough at times and you don't need people making it harder so they can go home and feel like a man over a cold beer after kicking the dog and smacking around the wife and kids.

I lived in MD for a year… that entire state has some of the worst, rude impatient drivers Ive ever seen in my life. Where I live now is a big military town, and everytime I see a bad driver speeding/no turn signals/ cutting people off Im never suprised when its a MD license plate.

Anyone that brake checks other vehicles are just insuance scammers unless said car is tailgating them, which here the fire truck is most definitely not doing.

As a class A truck driver for 25 years this is just another day. In fact that is the way my day goes after my first interchange.

In a situation like this, it's best to:

2) Find his address
3) Light his house on fire

Why would anyone brake check a fire truck. Let alone a parent with a child in the car. That fire truck is built like a damn tank what if they accidentally rear-ended that small car. The mother of that child needs to be rethinking her partner situation.
The mom/wife obviously doesn't think at all. She had to know this clown had a revoked driver's license. So that meant he had no insurance, any new bank account, no way to cash a check or fly anywhere, yet she allowed him to drive her kid around.

I loved the video that showed that fire truck responding to a skyscraper fire just ram the out of the BMW car and police vehicles right out of the way then kept going. I hope that becomes standard policy when blocked by ANY vehicle in their way during an emergency. Ramming at 49MPH sounds about right in my opinion.

UPDATES: He was arrested again in July of that year for assaulting a guy and stepping on his neck. He was also arrested again in September 2022 for (surprise surprise) driving on a suspended license. Unfortunately he passed away at age 33 on November 17th 2022, so no more arrests to report since then.
I hope he loses EVERYTHING. And I mean EVERYTHING. His family (by splitting from wife and/or someone taking his child away), his job, his house, his car and all if his money. Leave him with nothing.
