This is a good read and a true story. I once had a warehouse business just north of DC in Maryland, had 6 spots per shop. Parking was tight for many businesses with employees. We all had problems with other buildings employees using our spots all day. My neighbor with the end unit had most cars trying to park in his spaces and it drove him nuts. He kept telling people he would tow their cars. One day he lost his mind and got his forklift out, picked up the car in his spot moved it to the other building. When he stopped too fast to put it down it slid a bit and ended up on its side doors. It was the talk of our building ever since. Cops came to investigate and ask who has a forklift. No one rats out our neighbor we all just tell the police, “Everyone has a forklift in a warehouse and we didn’t see a thing”. Long story sort. No more police asking stupid questions and no more illegal parking at the end unit. BEST DAY EVER!

Lol. My friend has scoliosis. He once had to park in a regular spot because someone was illegally in a handicap spot. He went inside the nearest store (this was a strip mall) and asked if they could page for the owner to move her car. They did, no one came. He called the police an officer arrived (he went into the nearest few stores in the shopping center and tried to find the owner) no one came forward. The officer told me my friend he was going to call a tow and advised him if he wanted to watch to not sit too close because the driver may get nasty and he didn't want the driver to figure out who called. The tow truck arrived and was loading the car up to be taken to impound when the owner of the car (an able bodied young lady in heels no less) came running out of the nearby store (that both my friend and the cop had gone into to page for the owner) and started crying and pleading and insisting she had only been gone a few minutes when the cop said, "Ma'am I have been here for at least 20 minutes." and then insisted there was no other parking available and the cop told her she was wrong. She then insisted that no one had needed the spot and he said, "Who do you think called the police and complained? A handicap person who needed the spot couldn't use it because you were in it." The cop allowed her to get her things out of the vehicle and then wrote her a ticket and the tow truck driver kindly waited for her to get the cash from the atm she needed to pay the impound fee as well as a lift to the yard to pay to get her car back. I am pretty sure she never parked in a handicap spot again!

In my local shopping centre the disabled parking spaces were always taken by people who didn't need it so the shopping centre enforced a clamp and an £80 release fee. Disabled parking is now always available so my dad can finally use them whenever he's there.

@@CoolKoon What's wrong with them clamping people who shouldn't park there? It clearly said do not park here unless you have a disabled badge, but people didn't notice or didn't care which led the shopping centre to take drastic measures for the people who do have the right to park there.

I live two blocks away from a beach and a road that features a carnival parade every year. And EVERY YEAR is the same story with people parking on our garages and blocking the ways out of our houses (for all of us that live near the event) we put up signs, we some times even argue with people and get called names when we politely ask them to move their cars. Every year we paint, mark and tow cars, it's our little joy out of pure revenge. It's incredible to see how self absorbed some people are, how they think they have the right to do anything. I hate them
First of all, good for you lol Second, I know some people rent out their garage during events for cash. Perhaps next time you can too and make some extra cash!
huahualipo I know someone who lives about a five-ten-minute walk from a stadium in Colorado. She makes a lot of money during the season using her property as a parking lot.
huahualipo. That's what I was thinking. I have lived in the Los Angeles area most of my life and people take advantage of drivers looking for parking for big events i.e Rose Parade, etc. Residents will charge up to $35 or more for parking. I was always envious that they could make some good pocket change for the weekend.
We have that in the UK. The land owner makes tens of thousands every year out of non-adherence to the conditions. 10mins over costs a lot. UK law allows for a fine, albeit private property. Then, there's those who just ignore it, old address, etc, various ways to evade the ticket.
I don’t think it’s a good idea because the lot owner will have to responsible for anything if there is any damage or something wrong to the cars. For this, u don’t have to worry.

They should hang a sign that specifically says the lot is for employees and customers only, that others would be towed. They probably thought it was a joke/prank or something, as did the first guy before he took it seriously. I mean, who hangs a speaker outside of his building just to warn these things? But yeah, they should've took it seriously regardless as most lots in stores/non-public building tend to be only for customers and employees anyway.
ignoring the speakers, there ARE signs. You can see the sign at 1 second in though you'd have to screenshot/zoom to see it from the angle the video is in. You can also see the signs across the street throughout the video. You can even see that the guy notices it at the end. There's no real defense to it.

@@robertng135: If they don't chain it and it does bounce and gets damage like body damage, then it's on the towing company. So if they're competent, they ALWAYS chain cars, even on lift trucks.

Adam Bernstein yep even threw the jeep in neutral so it could hook up from the front or rear. Weird. Doesn’t the transmission lock one set of wheels when in park?
Uh oh, I do believe you are correct, Draw. When in park, the wheels that are part of the transmission will lock. In this case, he rolled the front wheels to pull the jeep out, set it down, drove around to the front, and then rolled the back wheels to tow it away. Do I sense a set up here? Is someone trying to get UA-cam hits?
That was a front wheel drive suv, when the two it away you can see one front wheel (right side) rolling backwards. He then towed from front. Front wheels are only wheels attached to engine/transmission. If she had set parking brake (which locks rear wheels), tow truck driver would attach extra dolly-wheels to back wheels.

The problem is that, in the past, most people gave in to her manipulation, so she thinks she can get away with anything because she's cute. Thankfully, this company and that tow truck didn't care.
true. i had a slight tip over when i left the roadway and went up the embankment and tipped on my side. very little damage, even the mirror wasn't broken. when i went to the tow yard to get my truck it was totaled and the tow truck driver said he had dragged it on its side to get it up the embankment. my insurance company said nothing I could do about it.

People used to park in front of my friends driveway not allowing them to leave... every time someone did that, they'd come back to their car shot up by paintballs. Lol
love it.
Xnate13X good
I actually love that idea
until someone shoots your house with bullets 😂
Sorry, USA that way, not here. We have blocked memes, you have house shooters and net neutrality stuff
Is nobody going to mention how badass looking that tow truck is? LIke something from the future, honestly
Artek [General] Literally the guy doesn’t have to step a foot outside his truck. Crazy lol
Looks like a typical repo wrecker.
Artek [General] It is a fairly standard tow truck, they are great trucks all remote controlled.
? It's an average tow truck..
Well, its not average for me
I had someone parallel park in my street a few years ago literally blocking my 2-car wide driveway, even though there was plenty of curb space without blocking any driveways. This was in a residential street. When I got home from work, I couldn't pull into my driveway. So I called the cops and about 5 minutes later, they arrived to ticket the car and then told me they will have it towed. Just then, the owner of the vehicle came outside from a neighbor's house and argued with the cop. The cop arrested the guy for Pre-DUI because he smelled alcohol on the dude's breath and didn't want him driving drunk in our "upscale" neighborhood.
Lmao.
pre dui is not a real thing the charge is called public intoxication
