Played a bit last year but gave up. Decided to try the game again today and went with Warlock. I'm having fun but good lord, things are _really_ confusing. At one point when I booted up the game, instead of starting me off in the Cosmodrome where I'd logged out from, it immediately threw me into the Arrival quest on Mars. I figured I'd just roll with it and made it onto Savathun's ship. Everything was going fine until I got to a platforming section and could _not_ jump onto the chandelier I needed to get to. I searched on youtube for the solution...and that's when I learned the Warlock has different jumps. So I left and went to go talk to Ikora so I could get Blink. I figured I should probably practice my jumping before I went back to Mars, and inadvertently chose the best possible quest for that: Risk/Reward. I fell to my death quite a lot at first, but by the end of it I had everything figured out. Now I just leave Blink slotted unless I have to cross a really long distance. I wish there was a faster way to swap out jumps though, having to bring up the character menu every time is a pain. One nice thing is that when I went back to Arrival, it actually placed me at my most recent checkpoint. I figured it would make me go through the entire thing all over again. Kinda weird that it gave me a Witch Queen mission when I don't have the expansion, though. Maybe that's their way of giving you a preview so you'll want to buy the whole thing.
@@endorphinparametric4132 I knew there were checkpoints in missions, I just didn't expect the game to save them after I'd left a planet.
